Royalton Park Avenue New York Reviews from The Last Year
My recent stay at the Royalton Park Avenue Hotel was superb.
My recent stay at the Royalton Park Avenue Hotel was superb. Paul, the MVP at reception, ensured a seamless check-in, while Juan, the tribal chief, provided invaluable local insights. The hotel's elegance and prime location made it ideal for both work and leisure. Highly recommended for a top-notch business trip in NYC.
Convenient, beautiful!
Beautiful balcony view! Paul and Juan were so great and helpful at check in. Perfect location, close to everything. Near lots of bars, restaurants and Penn station. Convenient and safe, thank you so much to the staff here! They are the best!
Excellent
Everything was excellent ! The front desk personal was very nice and professional … our three rooms were beautifuls and very cleans! Thank yoy so much !! Todas las atenciones fueron muy profesionales, especialmente los muchachos del front desk !
Noisy Room
Noisy room; TV did not work most of the time. Even though I reserved a non smoking room, I would smell smocking especially at night. I was promised to move to another room but I did not follow up on it because I decided I will not be using this facility in the future,
Great spot to be
If you’re in flatiron and want to be uptown or downtown in 20min this is the place to be - clean friendly, what more can you ask for? Plus they have a rooftop bar which is always a fire spot to catch a city vibe
Excellent accommodations!
Awesome experience. The staff is super friendly. Very fashionable and modern hotel. Lots of nice coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Excellent lounge, spacious room and a great view Clean interiors and good collection of amenities.
Unreasonable service charges
Be warned, on their website it states all rooms include eg pool / gym / rooftop bar / WiFi/ long distance calls. None of which we actually used however we were charged 45 dollars a night plus tax which totalled over £200 dollars. Absolute joke, if we had have been told this anywhere in TC's / via British airways or at reception we would have gone elsewhere as that £200 would have been much better spent at a nicer hotel. Location good. Standard rooms and indifferent staff. Would not go back
Favorite Spot in NY for Business
I’m having an extremely nice stay at Royalton Park avenue. The staff are super friendly, Paul was exceptional, he was kind and helpful and helped me find my way around this part of the city. The hotel was clean and comfortable with great hot water, fast WiFi and a great view. This has been on of my nicest stays in New York, I’m looking forward to stay here on my future trips to the city. Thanks to all Paul and all the staff that made me feel at home.
Helpful and friendly
Paul was very welcoming, and very chatty, helpful and friendly, and very informative. Letting us know the pool is being refurbished in March so we can use it till 11th March. Easy to find and great location. Would recommend any friends to visit!
The WORST customer service for business
I booked a room for an overseas client at a hotel I hadn't dealt with before. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a terrible experience. The service was extremely poor and I would not recommend doing business with this hotel. The reception and administrative personnel were a nightmare to deal with. New York has plenty of hotel to do great business with!!!!
Great place for drinks, the vibes is great .
I always have a great time , the staff and the manger are great . They always take great care of us , I've been recommending this place to many of my friends . Sebastian make absolutely great drinks , & Rocio always makes sure we feel welcome :)
Room is great.
Very comfortable and spacious. Big bathroom. I found guest services and room service to be very quick. My only complaint is that the service at the rooftop restaurant was bad - so I would opt to eat outside of the restaurant. But I would definitely stay at the hotel again. Great location. And right next to a Starbucks so I could pickup a coffee on my way out to explore.
Looking for the royal treatment? Look no further.
Excellent staff. Excellent service. The perfect oasis in NYC.
SUMMARY: Really great stay.
Nice suite and super comfy bed. DETAILS: I had a Manhattan Suite (room 1508). There was a huge amount of storage (6 large closets in addition to the drawers and cabinets), a half bathroom off the entryway. A bar was located just before the living room. The living room had a desk, TV, couch, and two arm chairs. The bedroom had an arm chair, second desk, and king sized bed. It was one of the most comfortable beds I have had in a room in a long time. Pillows and sheets were great too. Separate thermostats for living and bedroom. Main bathroom was beautiful. It has a double sink, glass shower and deep soaking tub. I spoke with 2 or 3 people over the course of my 2 day stay and everyone was exceptionally nice. I got the feeling that if I needed anything then they'd go above and beyond to make it happen if they could. Only 1 tiny thing would have made it better: it would have been nice if an upscale room like this had an AppleTV or some way to easily cast from my computer to the TV... something more modern than the old-style menu TV with Mario Lopez giving celebrity news haha But that is pretty minor. I would definitely recommend the Royalton Park Avenue and I will be returning in the future.
Location was great! Close to subway lines (6).
Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and comfy. Bathroom had plenty of counter space despite the large trough style sink. Shower could have had more pressure. Rooftop bar was pleasant and employees there were top notch as well.
This is the best boutique hotel near the Madison Square
This is the best boutique hotel near the Madison Square Park / Flatiron. It has a great pool and stunning views towards the Empire State Building. Ideally located with most Manhattan neighborhoods at walking distance (anything above Washington Square Park and below Central Park). The rooms are clean and quite spacious (for NYC). It is my go-to hotel when travelling for business to NYC. The bar on the top floor is great for an evening drink (don't expect proper restaurant food though, it's more bar snacks). The breakfast is a bit pricey and not big. I would recommend going to nearby Penelope for weekend brunch or Seven Grams Cafe for a quick breakfast before business affairs.
Hotel room was decently nice.
They did try to upsell to a "larger" room as soon as we got there which was kind of annoying but my main issue is with parking. 1. They aren't clear how much parking is anywhere on their website. 2. The parking ticket clearly says to call 45 minutes ahead of leaving to get your car. I called 45 minutes ahead of checkout at 11:15, check out was at 12. At 12 we checked out and stood outside waiting for our car. We waited an hour and 30 minutes for my car to be brought to me. At about 1230 we were told it would be 5 minutes more, which I could clearly see on my app that my car had not been moved yet. They repeated the lie multiple times and then promised to credit our whole parking fee for our stay. We received the car at 1:30 PM. Today I got my bill and not only was the parking double what I found on their site they only credited me for one day. Kind of defeats the purpose of Valet since I couldve parked for cheaper and faster at a near by garage.
Great location for guests traveling to NYC.
Minutes drive or walk to food restaurants and major tourist attractions. There's a Starbucks literally across the street for coffee lovers. They do offer a glass of Prosecco betwen 5-6pm Friday & Saturday. Ivy room bar and resto is a nice addition, dim light good ambiance great staff, ask for Calvin at the bar! I tried the pork sliders(served as 2 sandwiches) and they were amazing. Room service 24/7 and very swift! Only disappointment is rooms are very small, you can barely fit in the bathroom, queen bed is more like Full and you can feel metals pocking through old mattress. My toilet water tank kept running which woke me up sink so small you cant avoid water messes Great shower pressure, good robes and slippers, stocked mini bar
Hands down one of the best hotels I have stayed at while
Hands down one of the best hotels I have stayed at while visiting New York. Ambiance was awesome, clean, service was great!
Horrible experience.
This hotel gotta be the shittiest hotel I ever stayed in my life. I've stayed in so many hotels around the world and in nyc and this is literally the worst experience I ever had. The stuff is extremely rude and unwelcoming. You won't feel welcome or at home here.

Pretty crazy, but cracking down will cost them a lot to maintain. They probably will lose the fight.

In my experience they will typically restore your reservation if you say it was an error.
