RUKA Boston Reviews
The Ambiance was lovely.
It was my birthday and the staff was very accommodating and kind. I could've tried everything on the menu but the crispy rice was my favorite.
This was the highlight of our Boston trip.
The food here was so amazing and the service was impeccable. The place is very nicely decorated and they play really good music. The food was really good. We had a few rolls, the wagyu skewers, the picaña, and the fried rice. The fried rice came wi

A tasty treat.
Not a particularly warm welcome from the host. A smile would not have gone a miss. The food was great. Super tasty and very well presented. We had 4 dishes between two of us and it was more than enough. The cocktails were nice too! I would have l

Modern fusion restaurant with trendy decor.
We stopped for calamari and a couple of rolls. Well developed flavors on crunchy calamari of pleasant light lime marinade - delicious. Sushi was delightful with easy rice and fresh fish. The dinner service was somewhat slow and not overly considerat

Calling this Peruvian Japanese fusion feels like a stretch, but the food is good and super flavorful, nothing is bad, and it's vibey. One of the better places in Boston.
the tofu sushi was so good as well as the cheese sticks.
they came with a delish sauce. very cool vibe of a restaurant and presentation of food was fun.
Peruvian Japanese restaurant. Great ambiance. Delicious, well presented and tasty food. Everything we tried was great. Good service.
Very average
Restaurant look and vibe are really cool. Unfortunately, this didn’t extend to the food. Which I’d describe as average at best. Lacking in flavor and depth. Ordered several dishes and none hot the spot. I’m a real hater of cilantro, despite not
Great diner
Great location and really cosy atmosphere. Styling of the restaurant is great. Food was really good at a fair price point. Staff was excellent
Worst experience I’ve had in Boston
Hands down the worst experience I’ve had in Boston—RUKA not only disappointed with underwhelming food, but also showcased appalling service and basic human disregard. This is the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to leave a review on any pla

Absolute Yum
Well, I didn’t think Japanese Peruvian fusion sounded appetizing, but we are staying at the Godfrey and after a long day walking around Boston, we didn’t feel like hunting for a place to eat dinner. So glad we gave it a shot! The food was amazin
Excellent innovative food, great décor, chaotic service.
Our recent visit was our second. We came back because the food is great despite our first visit being a service disaster. This is effectively a tapas style meal and last time we asked, and were assured that, everything would be coursed out two at a t
Amazing ambiance, food and cocktails.
Went for my birthday. First time visiting Boston. Went to a lot of top tier restaurants during this trip and this one was one of the best.
The sushi rolls are by far my favorite thing on the menu.
Truly a foodie's paradise. It's hard to find Peruvian fusion sushi rolls and this place hit the spot. Very cool decor too! Insta-worthy!

If you're reading this and you ate at a two-spot on 7/16 around 6pm, admired our cheese sticks, and wished you could have shared our Big Fish sundae with us (incredibly delicious) we regret having to hop quickly and wish we could have been friends!!
Really liked the aesthetic of the place itself.
It's a dim and it's giving mystical. Haha We walked in and the host asked if we had a reservation which we didn't but they were still able to accommodate my 6 person party. I'm guessing by that question that there are times where if you do not have a
This place has a "tapas" style menu.
I'd say 5 plates for 2 people is a pretty good start, which is what our waiter recommended. The portions and price are good for Boston. I've seen worse. My favorite is the ceviche dish. I'd come back just to order 3 plates of that for myself. Recomme

Food: Well portions and great flavor combinations.
My favorite was the Japanese fried chicken, just enough crispiness and flavor where it was sweet tangy added with the spicy mayo sauce on the side was just perfect. Each of the sushi presented its own combination, where texture and flavor sat really
Food, drinks, everything was soooooo good.
I'm a vegetarian and found plenty of delicious options full of flavor. Definitely recommend.
RUKA is so cool.
The vibe is fantastic but the food is what really steals the show. The fried chicken was spectacular. The ceviche was amazing. All 4 of the rolls we tried were outstanding.
We visited Ruka on Saturday.
We had reservations but decided to sit at the bar. The bar is always the best IMO We had a wonderful bartender/server named Lucas. he knew the menu inside and out. My boyfriend and I had lots of questions about the food, but Lucas never seemed anno

The ambience was cute and lively.
Our server was also friendly, but be careful since they will ask "still or sparkling water" so make sure you ask for tap unless you want to be charged $8 for some water... In terms of the food, I think you will be wow-ed if you don't go in

Nice ambiance and pretty dishes, but the pros stop there.
We were excited for the Asian-Peruvian fusion aspect, but the dishes seemed to be largely Asian with a tiny Peruvian tweak in the form of a condiment or topping. The service was also slow and rather unhelpful with answering questions about the menu--

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to RUKA Boston at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the RUKA Boston page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
