They have greeters on ground floor since this on 63rd floor but why didn’t a greeter take elevator with the guests? Seems just a bit awkward for her to press the elevator button and then Bub-bye. The bar is in front of elevator and they give you a drink there depending on your preferences. Then they take you to your seat with the drink. I thought that was odd and interaction felt awkward since I was confused and wasn’t sure what’s happening. There were not many dished but they come in bunches and are bigger plates than your traditional tasting menu. I rather enjoy each one separately and have them as small as possible so I can try more food. One good thing is since they come fast and few so you can leave in about 2 hours if you eat fast. No luck leaving sooner though since wait for each dish was quite long, Some misses, some hits. I like the beginning appetizers because they were small bites and quite tasty. Everything afterwards were mostly misses for me. The main duck course was the best but they ruined it with all the condiments and wraps because the duck was amazing by itself. Better than most Peking Ducks since here it’s cooked medium rare, The service for the most part was fine except for the greeters on lower floor and the woman announcing the dishes. She seemed a bit inexperienced and was in a hurry to leave after her announcements. Ambiance is quite nice and you get beautiful city night views from this height but table placements are not optimal and do not make best of the views since not many tables are next to windows which is the place to sit. It did not feel like a fancy restaurant when I was dining which in a way is good because they didn’t make guys wear jackets or are strict on dress code. But I also didn’t feel like I was dining at someplace grand which for the money is unfortunate. 1/3 stars for me.
