😍 5/5 - I've been dreaming about Jing-Gee Skhan (Shabu Shabu)

I've been dreaming about Jing-Gee Skhan (Shabu Shabu) lately. We arrived at the restaurant at 6 pm, and there were plenty of parking spaces available in the restaurant and many empty tables. During busy hours, they have valet service, and I recommend having your vehicle valet due to the nature of the neighborhood. The area is a bit sketchy. By the time we were done with our meal, customers were pouring in and many seated, so I'm glad we dined during a less busy time. What we ordered: SHABU SHABU COMBO with CHUCK STEAK (Assorted vegetables, dipping sauce, udon noodles, rice porridge) - This is the ONLY RESTAURANT in LA that makes Shabu Shabu in this format where the meat and vegetables are dipped in an oddly round-shaped bowl filled with broth. To make the best out of this meal, make sure to scale the 1:1 ratio of vegetables and meat. Next, when you are done with the meat and vegetables, make sure to dump the liquid that's been building up in a separate bowl (request if not available) for the udon. You will have a less soggy experience. BIBIM NAENGMYEON (Buckwheat Noodle Dish w/ Slices of Brisket, Pickled Radish, Pickled Cucumber, Korean Pear, and Hard Boiled Egg) - I love the taste of this dish because it's served cold and has a spicy, tangy, and chewy texture. The red sauce poured on top is a mixture of sesame oil and Korean chili paste. The noodle also complements the crunchy texture of the radish and refreshing taste from the cucumber. If spicy noodles are not your forte, I recommend its cousin, Mul Naengmyeon (Ice cold broth without the spice).
