Cozy and delicious
Stopped with my family to have dinner….. what a surprise! Everything was good and the owner such a wonderful host. One of those restaurants where you must eat
Be the first to ReplyCosy evening with authentic Persian food and professional staff.
I found this gorgeous restaurant on a cold day in mid-March. The restaurant is warmly lit, cosy and intimate, a unique addition to the urban buzz of Hereford Road. The food: exquisite. I thoroughly enjoyed the “Koobideh”: lamb seasoned with saffron. A hearty meal to delve followed by the "Zoolbia Bamieh & Baghlava". Arash is a true professional, a delightful man who made sure I was very welcome. I arrived quite early and he kindly made polite conversation. Having never had authentic Persian food before, I was slightly naive of the options. He gave his recommendations (which were much appreciated) and after the food arrived, diligently checked to see if it was alright. I would definitely recommend Sinuhe and will be coming back for many more meals on a balmy Summer’s eve with friends.

Our first time at a Persian restaurant and it won't be the last. From the moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed by the attentive and friendly staff. The menu was varied and interesting. The staff were very helpful about the dishes on offer. We plumped for the tzakziki-like dip with flat bread and olives with pomegranate for starters. Both were lovely. I had the special king prawns with rice for mains and my wife had the lamb stew with lentils with roasted lime. Again they were amazing, beautiful food. We finished with warm pastries to share. Very moorish! We can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. It made our night in London special.

Be the first to ReplyBig Small Persian Jewel
Hi all back to the review station after a 2 year break during the Covid crisis. Life goes back to...normal ? Small steps our means trying out of the way places, but Sinuhe is actuallly between hot Westbourne Grove and Notting Hill and is a jewel and gem of a find. A colleague and friend from North Carolina here on teaching sabbatical at one of the UK's top universities (so this gal knows her stuff..) took us here for a night out for Persian. Well, I know Persian but didn't expect this - styled as a Persian tapas bar this place specializes in small starter dishes which are extraordinarily fresh, prepared on the spot and divinely tasty followed by an array of fish and meat dishes with home cooked breads which are also made on the spot and have you coming back for more. This is comparison to a lot of of other Persians I have been to which are based on overcooked meat, industrially made flatbread and poor excuses for salads. No folks, this is gourmet stuff. Everything from the interior which is designed with a wood hearth home kitchen motif and the spotless kitchen (which you can readily look into) reeks of family ownership and pride, which it has in spades. The host was insistent on being helpful he kept offering complimentary deserts, after dinner drinks and anything including the moon to make sure we were happy, so insistent I had to ask him to chill a bit !?! Nicely of course. A small jewel because there are only 4-6 tables. There is also a sister cafeteria on the other side of the street which shares the menu, and they do take out as well but I would book this place if you can get a seat. It opens the eyes to what real Persian can be.

Everything about this small and intimate restaurant is wonderful. The food is exquisite and the daughters of the family who serve at table together with Louis the chef are all so friendly and together they made the dining experience for myself, my husband and two friends an occasion we will always remember. We ate breakfast in the cafe and dinner in the restaurant. The next time we come to London we will be returning and we can't wait. Thank you.

Love this place! Food was amazing. Friendly service.
We had a bit of everything on the menu and although my sister has Persian restaurant that's also got amazing food, I couldn't fault a single item on the menu. In fact the gheimeh was the best I've ever had and the lamb chops were as good as the best in Iran itself.
Great Persian restaurant
I highly recommend it! I live nearby and always wanted to visit Sinuhe restaurant. In June, I ordered multiple times take away for me and my friends. The food and service are excellent and the staff is very friendly. Also, the place is probably the cleanest I have seen in London. I am not sure exactly what I would recommend from the menu. We tried different dishes each time (e.g. Sinuhe special, Bamieh) and we liked all of them. We will be returning soon!
Be the first to ReplyDecent Persian food - expensive
My wife and I have been here on 2-3 occasions and although it’s little bigger than an airport elevator it’s got lovely decoration and the friendly service makes it memorable. On the plus side I think placing the kabobs on a small piece of bread is very clever as it soaks up the grease preventing it from tainting the rice but why o why do so many Persian restaurants insist on placing salad and in this case a most un-Persian large green pepper alongside the main food. If you must provide salad then place it on a separate small plate. We will go back as it’s one of our favourite places but can’t help but mention I think 12.5% service charge is just too much.

Best persian restaurant I’ve been to in London. Definitely a must try! I really recommend the Soltani from the menu!!
Be the first to ReplySuberb food in an intimate cosy environment
Sinuhe Resturant is beautifully decorated and hosts only a few tables, about 16 persons max, making it one of the cutest and cosiest places I have ever visited.
The food is excellent, great selection of (mainly vegetarian) starters served with bread that is baked on the spot inside the dining area.
The mains are a wide variety of grilled and stewed dishes. I would recommend the grilled dishes as its their specialty. The Koobideh, skewer of seasoned tender lean minced Lamb with saffron, is absolutely to die for, so extremely succulent and flavorful.
Combined with friendly hosts makes this a true hidden gem!
Tender, succulent, delicious Persian food
We did a takeaway to enjoy at home on New Year's eve - two koobideh (minced lamb with saffron rice), fresh green okra stew & baby aubergine stew - AMAZING!! Tender, succulent, absolutely delicious... Prompt & friendly service. Recommend highly.
