Don't bother as a single patron: I arrived about 1:55 today and sat at the bar, on the very far end near outside. A bartender was busy making drinks and looked my way several times and was near me but did not engage. Nor did several other staff who walked right by me. At least ten minutes later, a couple came in and sat at the bar nearer to the center. Five minutes later, Brandy arrived and introduced herself to them to take their order. I said to all that I had been waiting more than 15 minutes and therefore left promptly. I respect it is only natural for Brandy to greet customers closer to where she was first and I have no direct criticism of her. However, this proves two potential points: no one was monitoring whom had been waiting and for how long, and while Brandy naturally greeted people nearer to her, she may also have consciously or not greeted a couple first - people who would be more valuable to her and the restaurant. I have been many times to both this and your Plano location and love the establishment, but there are too many other places near the Crescent where I do not have to wonder if I am being consciously or unconsciously discriminated against as a solo patron.

The one bright spot in this experience was the restaurant manager. Thanks to him for taking care of us. Otherwise, ONLY come to 60 vines if you like: WAAAAY over-salted food, music so loud you have to scream at people for them to hear you and kitchen staff that retaliate against you for sending back salty af pasta by sending out your replacement dish covered in... you guessed it: salt. There were other problems but this place isn't worth any more of my time. With all of the dining establishments in the area, why would you choose this one? ESP with the sh*t kitchen staff.

After unfortunately getting food poisoning, the Manager, Erik, took it upon himself to reach out to me and make it right. For context, I love Sixty Vines and have been many times, but the one food poisoning experience prompted me to leave a negative review. I'm now updating that back to 5 stars because of our latest experience. Erik offered for my husband and I to come back for a dinner on him. It was great. Stonie, our waiter, was super friendly and knowledgeable, giving us a ton of great recommendations on food and wine options. He definitely knows his wine! We also met Erik and he was extremely apologetic and genuine in wanting us to have a great experience. All of the wines and food were 10/10. Stonie even took us to the back behind the bar wall to see the wine kegs and organization. It was awesome to see a bit behind the scenes and how amazingly clean and organized it was. Before we left, Erik also gave me a 60 Vines rosemary candle. If you know, you know how great it smells!Thank you to Erik and Stonie for redeeming our experience and showing genuine customer service, we enjoyed the time and are excited for our next visit!

good service. wine bar and restaurant both available at once.
Be the first to ReplyWe hear wine on tap and my group came running.
Countless reviews spoke so highly of this gem and we are happy we came here. I came with a group for a bachelorette and the second we walked in our bride was obsessed with how nice the place was. We planned on ordering a bunch of small plates to share. We got a board, fried zucchini, bacon wrapped dates, roasted shishito peppers with feta, a Margherita pizza and a Fig and Prosciutto pizza- which was all delicious. We were seated in a greenhouse in the back which was very cold and did affect our guest of honors time as she was shivering for most of the meal and we asked if they had blankets or could raise the heat/turn off the air and really got no answer. If you're ever at this uptown Dallas location... bring a blanket.

All there is to say, is from the moment my friend and I were seated at 60 Vines, we were treated like well-loved family by our server, LeMarcus. We had a plan...we hadn't seen each other in a long time and had to catch up. LeMarcus understood the assignment. He allowed us a ton of time to talk, while checking in to offer suggetions and support with the menu and choices according to our preferences. He was so affable and fun, while being knowledgable and spot on on food selections. Thanks again for a great evening! We closed the place down, and had a wonderful time.

10/10 would recommend Sixty Vines! My friends and I had the most incredible brunch experience with the best service from our waitress Logan! Absolutely would recommend the Orange Bread, definitely is my favorite of the appetizers we tried but they were all incredible. All around, cannot recommend Sixty Vines enough. And thank you so so much to the manager Ryan who gifted my friends and I with candles!

Haven't had this great of pizza and pasta since I went to Italy 2 years ago! They have a little more American flavors and toppings, but it was so delicious. Brunch was such a vibe! Our table was in a greenhouse like area, so beautiful! Thank goodness we made a reservation. Would recommend to come here!
Be the first to ReplyJust walking through the door, we knew we'd made the right
Just walking through the door, we knew we'd made the right choice for dinner with our son and his friends. The vibe, as the kids say, was fabulous. The wall of wine taps at the bar, the mix of large and small tables, the supercool playlist, all made for an indication of the evening we were about to have.We ordered two carafes of wine: a Cabernet Sauvignon and an Albariño, plus two pizzas as a starter. We had a Spicy Sausage and a Margherita. The latter is always my benchmark for how much care a restaurant takes with their pizza. It set a nice bar. I could have used a little more basil and a thicker mozzarella, but the sauce and the wood-fired crust were so good it all balanced out. Oh, and the giant copper pizza oven? Divine! For entrees, our table had the pork chops, a few pasta dishes (the Cresta de Gallo was heavy on the pepper. If you like black peppy, you'll love it.), and a steak, plus a carafe of Sangiovese. All delicious. Where the real joy came was when we ordered desserts to share. The Sticky Toffee Cake made me smack my son's friend on the arm, it was so good, but the sweet star of the evening was the Basque Cheesecake. Oh my word. Our spoons were fencing over the last few bits. Perfection!
Be the first to ReplyFood was good but not great.
Pasta over cooked and chicken/pork was dry. Pizza had good flavor but crust was a bit soggy/floppy. Service was good and ambiance is great. Mimosa bar was very cute. $32 a bottle of sparkling wine and access to mimosa bar (berries, juices, syrups, toppings). Would be nice for a birthday get together or bridal/baby event for the ambiance and good food. Not great for a date night or for a small group of people that out more value on the quality and preparation of the food itself.

Sixty Vines is so unique to have so many wonderful wines on tap! It's a fun way to try multiple wines. The appetizer portion of the menu is my favorite food wise. Their Brussel sprouts, burrata, meatballs & crispy zucchini are so good! Also great for groups & private events.
Be the first to ReplyIt's wild to me that Sixty Vines has such a high rating.
I have now dined here on three occasions (somewhat against my will) so I'm updating my review. Every time I have eaten here, I came away underwhelmed by the food and shocked at the price. My most recent visit was probably the most frustrating. After waiting in line for the valet that was advertised online as $5, we found out it was actually $10 (plus tip). Not wanting to be late for our reservation, we left the car with the valet anyway. We really shouldn't have rushed because even though we had a reservation, it took 45 minutes to seat us. Once we were finally seated, the service was spotty. Our waitress was super sweet, but we were never offered water and our order did not come out correctly. The food was actually somewhat better than on my prior visits. However the burrata was overly salty, the broccolini was burnt, and the dressing on the Caesar salad was super inauthentic and tasted like it was made with mayo. I got a bit of sticker shock at the end when a fairly watered down house old fashioned was billed at $18. Overall, dinner was about $65 a person, which was kind of insane for the quality and service we received. The ambience here is nice, and I can see why it's a hit date spot. But for the price and the hassle, the food falls way below expectations. In a city with so many other good food options, I would give this one a skip.

Came here for a girls dinner and had the best time! Stared with with burrata toast, so tasty. Then I had the fig and prosciutto pizza and wow the combo of sweet and salty was fantastic. I am currently pregnant so I can't speak to any of the wines but the bar made me a really delicious mocktail. I just described my favorite flavors to the waitress and she brought me back a super delicious drink that made me feel fancy!
