Must try!
Amazing experience all around. Great food and excellent service. Alice was amazing and knew what we needed even before we did!
Perfect service
Amazing afternoon tea, especially for the price compared to other places in London. Immaculate service from Kaycee and all the other waiters!
Stylish Restaurant but Mixed Service.
I chose this restaurant to celebrate my friendโs birthday after hearing so many great things. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and the beautiful dรฉcor instantly created a sense of occasion. My friend was excited to take photos to remember the evening. While we were taking quick photos in the Glade area before returning to our table, the bar manager asked us to move because staff needed the working space. We understood the request, but as the area wasnโt busy and we only needed a moment, his tone felt unnecessarily abrupt and dampened the mood. I spoke with the manager about it, and he handled the situation with professionalism. The bar manager later apologised, which we appreciated. We were seated in The Gallery (the restaurantโs Pink Room), where we had our meal and enjoyed the live music. While the performance created a lovely atmosphere, the room itself felt overwhelming โ the intense pink dรฉcor dominated the space, and the artwork on display during our visit seemed a bit disjointed. The food itself was a mix of highs and lows: my pumpkin veloutรฉ starter was inventive but lacked depth of flavour, while my lamb and polenta main course was rich, flavourful, and beautifully executed. After our meal, management kindly invited us back to the Glade bar as a gesture of goodwill. Although I didnโt stay long, I was struck by the unique interior details throughout the venue, including restrooms that looked almost like a futuristic spaceship. Overall, this restaurant offers a beautiful setting, live music, and some standout dishes, but parts of the experience didnโt meet my expectations and left me feeling slightly disappointed.
A wonderful evening at Sketch
My husband and I were visiting in London recently and a cousin who lives there suggested we meet up at Sketch. What a wonderful evening! The service was beyond our expectations from the moment we arrived. We were very happy with our food and wine selections. The staff (especially the sommelier) was very attentive and professional. It was a treat to spend our evening catching up with family and enjoying an exceptional and memorable experience... Thank you Sketch!
Perfect date night.
Great food, atmosphere and amazing service. Had a great night! Our anniversary dinner was the perfect date night we would definitely come back again.
Overpriced and food quality was mediocre.
Overrated and over pricey for the quality of food. I'd focus more on quality of food instead of the eclectic bathroom experience. The pods were similar to outhouses with flushing toilets.
A โmustโ experience.
Amazing space, wonderful staff and a real experience. The food was delicious, as was the tea. The toilets were fun and the gallery feel is a great touch.
Arrogant wine waiter in need of training!
Overall, a somewhat disappointing visit to Sketch! I spent quite a lot of time socialising here whilst living in London, returning some 5 years later to an average to below average experience. Front of house was great - I think it was the restaurant manager who welcomed us and seated us at the table. However, I feel a particular need to call out the attitude and rudeness of the wine waiter, who had a reluctance to accept the Margaux 2000 was being served too cold. He told us it would warm in the carafe - it didnโt! Clueless and arrogant in my opinion and certainly needs customer service coaching. Food was over-priced for the delivery and the cut of beef was not consistent with quality beef filet by anyoneโs standard. Reluctant to complain given the wine situation. Adjusted the service charge accordingly because other than the French restaurant manager, the experience was somewhat poor! I would not recommend Sketch and may cautiously return in future.
I love love love love the decor.
The table of 12 self absorbed Americans were annoying AF of course but the service was what I found The Most Intriguing. Baddie in the beige suit was brilliant. The little lady in the pod rest room was curious and a bit sad. Hated the food but I didn't go for it so no harm no foul.
A Recommendation to Remember
Marco recommended entree and dessert I would not have normally tried, and that made for an unforgettable experience. I will recommend and return. Thank you Sketch. Cheers.
Wonderful afternoon tea celebration
We went for afternoon tea as a family to celebrate two significant birthdays and a 25th Wedding Anniversary. Sketch had been on my Eldest Daughterโs bucket list and didnโt disappoint, in fact it surpassed our expectations! From the warm welcome on the front steps to the thank you for visiting us, please come again on departure, the whole afternoon was truly exceptional. The champagne was chilled and delicious, the sandwiches fresh and scrumptious and the cakes sublime! The lady who looked after us was attentive, friendly, but not intrusive and explained every delicious morsel! A shout out to the three ladies who played strings in the background, just at the right volume so that one could distinguish the music, but didnโt overpower conversations! A truly magical afternoon, thank you Sketch, you more than made our celebrations memorable

Such a fun place to do tea! Yes pricey, but it's an experience and it is worth it!! Everyone was so kind and the caviar boy was so fun! The bathroom is a must see-- make sure you bring your phone for the photo shoot. Everything is decorated and beautiful.

If you're looking for a quick answer on whether you should visit Sketch--YES, absolutely. Go. I rarely write reviews (maybe four in my adult life), but this experience was so exceptional, I felt compelled to share. The best way I can sum it up? Imagine someone describing Disney as "magical"--except this was more magical than any Disney visit I've had. From the moment we arrived--late and sweaty thanks to a chaotic Uber ride during a London heatwave--the staff were warm, accommodating, and gracious. They even called to confirm we were still coming and kindly seated us right beneath the AC to help us cool off. Then came Darren. Our server, and honestly, the heartbeat of our visit. Kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable, he guided me (a tea novice) through the entire experience with the perfect balance of detail and charm. He explained the teas--what to start with, what paired best with each course, and which ones were traditionally taken with milk. His service was seamless, attentive but never intrusive. Every little detail was noticed, from topping off our tea to subtly rearranging items my friend had moved around. The Gallery Room where we dined was stunning--modern and whimsical, yet refined, and set to the backdrop of a live string quartet playing modern hits. It felt like we were living in a dream. Now, the food. The sandwiches? Familiar in concept, but wildly better in execution. Flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. The desserts, Wimbledon-themed and delicious. And the scones... I'm still thinking about those scones back in the States. Consider this your warning: they will ruin all other scones for you forever. (Also: clotted cream first, then jam--if you're asking.) Before we left, Louise, the Gallery Director, came to check on our experience. We told her how phenomenal Darren was, and she seemed genuinely touched and proud of her team. My friend even accidentally booked a second tea for the wrong day, and Louise personally fixed the reservation without hesitation. A few days later, my friend returned to Sketch with her daughter (a recent London college grad), and once again, Darren and Louise went out of their way to make the visit special--even adjusting work schedules so Darren could serve them. Her daughter, who's had her fair share of afternoon teas in London, said this was hands-down the best. This experience left such an impression that I'm already planning to return with my niece someday. If you want a truly enchanting afternoon with impeccable service and a sprinkle of magic, Sketch is it. *** If you're American, I'd like to share that the tipping culture is quite different in London. Typically, a 20% charge is added to your bill (you can request its removal if necessary). In my experience, the city is mostly cashless. My only regret was not having cash with me to offer Darren. When your check is run at the table, there is no option to add an additional tip.
Single-handedly the worst experience we had in London.
Grossly overcharged for six of the tiniest cocktails (there were six of us) you can even imagine. Cocktails were put together with a lot of "flare" but were unbalanced and waaaaay too sweet for anyone to drink. This place is all about seeing and being seen but is utterly devoid of the substance that would justify the prices. Egg toilets were kind of cool though.
I would consider this overpriced and under-delivered.
If you're into taking photos of your food and posting for others to see, maybe it's worth the expense. I was looking forward to the funky art and atmosphere - sort of a cool spin on a traditional experience. The entry way and bathrooms are unique and artsy, but the dining room is a bit plain relative to the rest of the space. The hosts were very attentive, proper, and set high expectations for the rest of the tea. But, then the service started to unwind a bit. Teas were mixed up and servers really bumbled a bit - forgetting who ordered what type and various items. The cocktails were a bit sweet and underwhelming, and the sandwiches and sweets were bland and a bit stale. Once on the table, the presentation is attractive, but in terms of service, flavors, and overall experience, it was a bit of a letdown.

The food is amazing! The service is great and we chose the Glade room, so it was seemingly calming and not noisy. Great space for a nice meal.
Wish I could give this place zero stars.
We came here at 8:30 and left the restaurant at 11:45. It took around an hour for our drinks to come and a little more for a salad and burrata which are cold so I didn't understand why we needed to wait so long. It seemed like the tables near us were served food at a quicker pace than we were. I got pasta which was fine but my sister got the popcorn chicken which was warm, borderline undercooked chicken curry with pieces of actual popcorn sprinkled on top. It seemed like a joke. This was certainly the worst dinner of our London trip while also being one of the most expensive. Overall, although the vibe of the restaurant is cutesy and the bathrooms are aesthetic, the food is awfully overpriced and mediocre at best. Save yourself this experience and do not come here.
If aesthetics was everything, Sketch would win this prize.
Unfortunately, a lot of the dishes at sketch miss the mark. The raw scallops weren't really that fresh, and it had a weird cream sauce that overpowered the scallops. The fish was decent, but it was doused in melted butter so hard to miss. All in all, a place for instagram photos, but that's really what they excel out with their exotic bathroom and dining room designs.
What a cool experience! We dined at Sketch in The Gallery
What a cool experience! We dined at Sketch in The Gallery room on a Saturday night in May. You're greeted by a doorman, then a receptionist in the lobby-type area, then a receptionist in the restaurant, and then we had a food waitress to take orders, drink waitress to take orders, two busboys to deliver the food, and finally a manager process our bill. They're all dressed impeccably and quite friendly. I had the Sea Bass with Baby Artichokes and Prosecco Veil. It was light yet filling but could've used a bit more flavor. My friend ordered the Black Garlic Arancini and loved it. I ordered a martini and it was a bit small! See picture of it compared to my friend's red wine. I guess I expected a martini glass! We made our 6:30pm Saturday night reservation about a month in advance on Open Table so plan accordingly! I took off 1 star because the food is a bit overpriced.
Save yourself $368USD for two afternoons tea experiences.
Beautiful place but I would just go get a cocktail. The value of what we got compared to what we paid was not even close to comparable. We got 2 pots of tea, small sandwiches and desserts that were honestly just decent. The flavors were mostly all lemon, were overly sweet and just lacked variety.
Sketch Afternoon Tea - An Experience
Sketch has developed a huge following and perhaps one of the most popular times to visit is Christmas. The afternoon tea is based around Multiple courses served at the table. Our table wasnโt ready when we arrived, so we had a cocktail in the adjoining bar. We were served a good variety of cakes but I would have preferred more savoury to balance the sweet. There was a live string classical trio, followed by an hourly sugar plum fairy ballerina, dancing round the tables. A delight for Christmas, but probably one of the most expensive afternoon tea experiences in town.

Me friend and I came for cocktails on a recommendation by a local. The drinks and servers were great. The decor was lovely. My main complaint is with the French bald host who seated us! This man touched my back inappropriately 2-3 times but not my friend's. Then he nonchalantly grazed the back of my pants as we were getting our coats. Please look into this man.... We are concerned for women customer's safety!
The service was great, and the ambiance is amazing.
I recommend booking the main tea room ahead of time. The food was expensive and small, but the food was still good.
Amazing!
Timothy was amazing! The most attentive and helpful waiter either of us have ever had. We really enjoyed our tea - they were accommodating of our dietary restrictions and there was even live music during our tea.

I'll start by saying that the atmosphere is really cool and the bathroom is really creative. This place might be worth going to once. The food was alright. The staff was so polite and kind except for the man who served my table. He must've been having a pretty bad day. I get it, we all have off days. He rushed me to start my afternoon tea sandwiches before it arrived on the table and before I even got the 1st course... which they forgot. My 1st pot of tea arrived and it was the wrong pot. The timing of the food and the tea was wrong. Food would show up and then tea took forever. For the price of this afternoon tea, I expect the server to be on top of it.
Wonderful service and food was delicious.
We had a big celebration for our Girl Scouts the host returned with sweet macaron desserts with candies for our 3 tables. Great experience.
The food was superb.
The ambiance was a modern bridgerton equipped with color, Class and champagne. The service was beyond amazing and they catered to my young child and treated her like a princess. We will be back. Thank you sketch for a memorable experience
London at its best!
High Tea was a great experience , but what made it exceptional was our waitress, Kaycee. Thanks for your top-notch service! Cheers!
Overpriced low quality experience, donโt recommend
So so disappointed by this place. We were recommended it by many people so wanted to give it a try. For two people, we spent $250 on the set menu, which ended up being a single small pot of tea, a few tiny sandwiches, and various bite sized desserts. They messed up our reservation so we were seated at the bar rather than a table. The service was very slow, we waited for quite a while for our bill alone. Maybe we were forgotten a little at the bar? Iโm not sure. I just know Iโm so disappointed by the cost for this experience. I would not recommend that anyone go here unless you want the Instagram photo, which is hard to get anyways because of how dim the lighting is. This felt like an absolute overpriced tourist trap for a low quality experience and meal. I wonโt be returning. Such a waste of money on an already very expensive trip for most people.
My biggest advice is to not go toooo hard on the earlier
My biggest advice is to not go toooo hard on the earlier courses (especially the tower with pastries and sandwiches) because we totally forgot there were still scones and cake to come! But the sandwiches, desserts, and tea are all you can eat so I think overall worth the value. My favorite was the mini lobster rolls and all the little cakes were delicious! The decorations are a big part of the experience too! I've heard it changes seasonally but when we went in June, our room had a pink and classy vibe, with a live quartet. And it's an open secret but don't forget to check out the restrooms - the craziest designs I've e seen for a restroom.
I booked an anniversary dinner here and was quite looking
I booked an anniversary dinner here and was quite looking forward to it. On arrival we were quickly welcomed and shown the way to our reservation area. Several hosts and hostesses wished us a happy anniversary which was very nice. Unfortunately that's where the positives ended. Staff do a good job with greeting but cups and plates lingered far too long and we had to ask for our check. Crumbs were left on our table through 2 courses. It may not seem like much but I feel these are the bare minimums for being deserving of a Michelin star. For food we went with the 3 courses from the origins menu. Two of the three dishes were a miss for me. My appetizer of white asparagus was unremarkable and forgettable. The cod as a main with spinach sauce was cooked well in terms of doneness but was quite bland and the sauce didn't taste like much. The dessert was quite nice-floating island of meringue with a beautiful scoop of ice cream underneath in addition to a basil pool. This was my favorite dish of the dinner. We were given a nice cake for anniversary celebration as well and that was much appreciated. However seeing two tables who were seated after us get their checks prior to us was a disappointment. The bathrooms are an experience, do check them out. Given my experience and expectations of this dinner I can't recommend it and would not come back.
I had an amazing dinner in the Lecture Room & Library.
It's easy to see why Michelin awarded it three stars. The decor is bright and unusual but still fancy. My meal was incredibly good. My favorite courses on the tasting menu were the haddock, langoustine, and the veal. The wine pairings were good but next time I will probably get the standard instead of splurge. Service was impeccable! My only disappointment was waiting almost 20 minutes to get a taxi after the end of the meal. It's difficult to believe there was a huge demand at 10pm on a Wednesday. But, unlike most other fine dining restaurants I have been at--Hide, for example, typically orders a taxi for me and let's me know when it arrives so I spend no time waiting out on the street. Ditto The Ledbury--Sketch will not organize a taxi for guests. Instead, guests can ask the doorman to waive over a taxi if an available one happens by. There does not seem to be many drop offs on the section of Conduit Street in the evening so it was a long wait. Otherwise, it was a fantastic experience.
Great food, great tea, great atmosphere
The food is savory, very, and delicious open mind for the melon/ham lollipop at the beginning... an excellent variety of tea and great service.
Wonderful afternoon tea in London
It was a wonderful experience and our host Meredith made our first afternoon tea experience amazing. Hats off to the team at Sketch and look to be back!

This review is for the lecture room and library, and our dinner here was hands down the best dining experience of our lives! We were absolutely blown away and amazed for every second of our evening here. The service was the most friendly, fun, knowledgeable and attentive I have ever experienced. The ambiance left us speechless. The evening here was the highlight of our two week trip in Europe, and we had some amazing experiences. The hostess' tour after our dinner of the other rooms really left us feeling like we had the most magical and epic time. I know I haven't mentioned the food yet, it was exceptional and it alone warranted the 5 star review, but we knew going to a 3 Michelin star restaurant would give us perfect cuisine, but the service and impeccable ambiance stunned us and left us feeling like this truly was a highlight from our holiday abroad. Thank you, Sketch for a memory my wife and I will always cherish.
Afternoon Tea at Sketch - Kaycee is the best!!
Sketch was an amazing place for afternoon tea, and Kaycee was the best server. So kind and attentive, great experience!
Uncomfortable and Negligent
I visited for an afternoon tea with family. We waited in the entry hall for 8 minutes before we were greeted, and it took another 8 minutes to get to our table. A server poured no less than half a cups worth of boiling hot tea directly onto my lap (she held the kettle the wrong way round). I immediately had to pour some of my water onto my lap, as the scaling hot tea had landed in a sensitive area and thighs. I understand mistakes happen, but i was given an apology and a napkinโฆ no offer of ice, no burn gel etc. Further more the attention we did get because of this incident was overwhelmingly negative. The Guest Relations Director came over and just asked โso hows Grannyโ. This was weird for two reasons: i was overlooked, and she is not a โGrannyโ. Further to this a male server called me a โladyโ, something Iโm not, nor do i present as. This was the third act of negligence which left us all uncomfortable for our entire visit. The negative experience didnโt end when we left the building. When reaching out regarding the restaurants policies on guest injuries, the โChief Executive Officerโ responded that following an accident โthe guest will visit the bathroom to freshen upโ, and suggested that the โaccident wasnโt so severeโ as i didnโt do thisโฆ It will only take you 10 seconds to google photos of the restaurant bathrooms to understand why I didnโt do this. And it astounded me that pulling my trousers down at one of their taps in front of men/women/children would be appropriate, and the fact i didnโt do this made him dismissive of my experience. I had extremely high hopes for this place, unfortunately the service from all levels really drops the ball which is a shame because the food and atmosphere almost make it worth a visit. Unfortunately the cocktails were not well balanced, and were not offered as a gesture despite the fiasco of the entire visit. Consider a more well established venue if you wish to be impressed.
If you find yourself in London and you don't go check out
If you find yourself in London and you don't go check out Sketch, you have made a huge mistake. Truly one of the coolest places I have ever been to. From the GORGEOUS forest themed back bar to the other worldly bathrooms, It is a fully immersive dining experience unlike any other. Great service, incredible food and masterful cocktails!
The ambiance is amazing.
It's definitely an experience. The tea is delicious and the treats are abundant.
Best afternoon tea.
Great service. Amazing place. Has a real cool vibe. Beautiful interior. A must try.
When you enter through the dim hallway going deep inside
When you enter through the dim hallway going deep inside this building, you feel like Alice passing through the looking glass and following the rabbit down the hole. The two separate dining rooms have different motifs, one with an under the sea Little Mermaid vibe and the other, a brightly painted whimsical Wonderland. You would think this place popped out of Lewis Carroll's head. The atmosphere is surreal and you feel like you're joining the Mad Hatter, the March Hare and the Dormouse for high tea. And there is a three piece string ensemble in the corner playing popular tunes on violin, viola & cello. The ladies did very good instrumental renditions of Coldplay's Viva La Vida and Justin Bieber's Sorry. We are here for high tea with friends and the tea selection is excellent. Since we could order as much and as many different teas as we wanted, I started with the black teas, first a pot of Earl Grey and then Darjeeling. All tea pots are individual and serves about 2 cups. Then I moved onto the Phoenix Honey Orchid, which was very mild and my favorite. Of course, I had to have it with honey, which came in a little carafe. My last pot was the Organic Dragon Well green tea. The tea sandwich and cake tiered tray is the main event. Each of the sandwiches, the Coronation Chicken, Cucumber, Salmon & Ricotta and Croque Monsieur are cut into finger length rectangles. The chicken and ham & cheese of the Croque Monsieur were excellent, but I was surprised I really liked the cucumber as well. Request as many more sandwiches as you like and they will bring more. But don't forget the sweet side of the tiers with multiple cakes. Then things got a little strange. Having consumed so much tea, I was first to seek the rest rooms, which were in an adjacent room. I thought I was transported to Woody Allen's movie Sleeper. Up the stairs into the stark white high ceiling room was a bunch of 6' tall white egg pods which reminded me of Robin Williams, Mork's spaceship from Ork. I had to ask the attendant in a maid's uniform to find me an available "egg". Someone please pinch me. At the bottom of the room was a round lounge area with 70's motif that the musician's took their breaks between sets. The service was impeccable with exceptional attention to detail, as expected from a high end restaurant. Overall, this was an amazing experience that I would recommend to anybody visiting London. Don't forget to point your pinkie finger as you raise your teacup to your lips.
Afternoon tea - mothers day
Stefan looked after us, great service and lovely to come back after 6 years. First Motherโs Day made very special for my wife
Lovely tea time in great atmosphere!
The atmosphere and the venue itself was very lovely, also totally not what you would expect standing outside the building. We were there for afternoon tea which was accompanied by a string trio (felt very Bridgerton like). The staff was very attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend not eating anything before for quite some time as everything offered (except for the sandwiches) is quite sweet and will make you feel full after only the first course. We were not able to eat the scones (second course) and the sponge cake (third course) but it was kindly packed for us to go. You can ask for more during your time there if you found something particularly tasty but again, there is only so much my stomach could accept. The tea options were great as well. It's quite pricey though (ยฃ80 per person) considering the amount that was offered.
Delightful solo dinner
Friendly and professional staff found me a table when I had booked wrong sitting Delicious Marg followed by the gnocchi with truffle and cream and fries The bathrooms are so cool along with the rest of Sketch very impressed
Fun take on afternoon tea
Iโm all about the chic vibe! There was a string quartet playing the day I had tea. It was a festive atmosphere and not stuffy pinky up tea at all. I loved the variety of teas available. The food was a work of art.
Delightful afternoon tea & bubblies!
Our afternoon tea and bubblies at Sketch was absolutely delightful! We enjoyed every bite. The sandwiches were delicious and the assortment was nice. They kindly offered more sandwiches if we were interested. The tarts, cake, eclairs, macarons, scones and more were fabulous. The presentation was over the top and the service was on point. We enjoyed the lovely violinist that entertained us during our visit. When in London we will return.
Wonderful evening
The food, service and ambience was fantastic. We visited with a 12 year old and our teenagers and everyone engines it. We booked a table of six and everything was superb from start to finish, a must visit! Beautiful dancers added an extra special touch for the evening and the cocktails were sublime!
Average place, not worth your time
Average food in the overpriced place. Run out of oysters. Truffle fries didnโt had no taste of truffle Good service though
I was being treated like a fool.
I was very disappointed because we ordered set meals for two of us (ยฃ75pp) and after having the staters they served the the main course which contains pork and I did we donโt eat pork please replace with anything else and the said no problem after having the 3 course meal I received the bill around ยฃ226 and I ask this is incorrect and they answered saying that they couldnโt cater the set meal so they charged a la carte menu. I did not receive any apologies I just paid the full amount and walked out. I was very disappointed at least let me know before hand. The worst thing about this restaurant is the food is very average. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone else because it made me feel that I was being treated like a fool.
We loved sketch! First of all the ambiance is so beautiful
We loved sketch! First of all the ambiance is so beautiful and there's so much cool art in there. The bathrooms were also so futuristic haha it was really fun to just see. The service is incredibly! My friend and I did the high tea and we also got some great cocktails with it. I didn't necessarily lovee their food (it's high tea ya know tea sandwiches, biscuits were ok), but I think you more so go for the experience and tea. Tea was fantastic as we got unlimited tea for our 2 hour experience. I'm so glad we decided to do this and it's certainly a fun experience if you never experienced high tea!
