The best ever!!!
This restaurant is amazing. It was my first time and now this is my favorite restaurant that I've ever been to in terms of the food and the service. The service was the best ever thanks to Diego Brito!!!
Be the first to ReplyAndreas is the best waiter and the food is delicious!
This was our first time visiting Steak 48. The steaks, lamp chops and salads were amazing. Each entree has a very thoughtful fantastic twist to it. You can tell they put an love in each dish. The only thing that can top the food was our waiter, Andreas. So informative with each dish on the menu, he also is an expert on the wine/cocktail selection. He was also fun to talk to! We will return and ask for Andreas again!

Best all around restaurant in Charlotte, bar none. Pricey? Yes. But well-worth it. Service from Jeff was outstanding. They treated us like queens and kings for our anniversary and treated us in other ways. Can'y say enough good things.

4 couples have an annual White Dinner Jacket dress up event at a new white-table cloth restaurant. Steak48 was our pick and we were not disappointed. Our head waitperson was very attentive and knowledgeable and navigated through a series of split orders and custom preparation instructions. When the food arrived, servers placed dishes at the proper location without the usual “Who had the…?” First courses included salads and oysters – all properly prepared. Many had the petite filet which was hardly “petite”, rather a generous portion. Scallops were probably U8’s – properly seared. The surprise dish was the 12 oz. strip steak – as marbled as a ribeye and very tender – this is a “best buy” menu item. Shared sides included corn, mushroom, baked potatoes – more than enough. Finally, a shout out to the parking valet attendant. A major downpour started and was not letting up. Not only did the attendant bring the cars around, but he escorted everyone to the car under a large golf umbrella. He was soaked and we stayed dry. Bottom line: from entering to exiting the restaurant the staff and the food were topflight.

Hopefully tonight was 2 trips in one, my first and last. The bread was the best thing about the meal. Maybe I just happened to get a poor cut of meat and they forgot to season it, but I’ve had better steaks at Outback. I don’t want to judge those that have commented, “best steak ever” or seem snooty, but clearly there is a disconnect. Either they haven’t been to a good steakhouse or I just had a one off poor experience. I had the corn and Au Gratin potatoes, the corn seemed to be canned corn with lots of sweetener to obscure the taste and texture of the corn. The potatoes were dry. My entire perception of the experience might be better if my server hadn’t left me sitting for an extremely long time before she took my order. I was eating solo and it took 2 hours, once I ordered my food arrived quickly. The best thing other than the bread was the wedge salad dressing. It’s very unique and had an excellent flavor. I would go back for the salad, but it’s one of the smallest wedge salads I’ve ever had.

We went for our anniversary. We both got the filet and agreed it was the best we’ve ever had. The side dishes, sautéed spinach and crème brûlée corn was also phenomenal. We chose the key lime pie and the caramel cake for dessert. Both to die for. Our server, Sabrina, could not have been any better. She was knowledgeable, attentive and sweet. Steak 48 will definitely move to the top of our list for best steak restaurant.

The perfect anniversary dinner was prepared by chef Heather. My food was flavorful and cooked to perfection. My server Blake was great and made wonderful menu recommendations

We enjoyed our recent visit to Steak 48 in Charlotte. Made our reservation on Open Table about a week ahead of time. I had been wanting to try this high end steak house for a long time but it seemed I never could find an open reservation on line. We arrived promptly on our time and were greeted by one of the hostesses at the entrance to the dining rooms. She told us they would be with us shortly. Another nice young woman greeted us and escorted us to a nice table in one of the many dining rooms. She told us our server Michaela would be over shortly. Michaela arrived at the table and introduced herself. She left menus and offered water. She told us that the water was filtered but she also had bottled and carbonated options. We opted for the standard water. She left the dinner menu which has a wine list on the reverse side, an extensive drink menu and an amazing reserve wine list. I ordered a bottle of Duckhorn's Decoy Pinot Noir ($69) After wine service she took our order. I ordered the smaller cut 12oz NY Strip ($56) and my wife ordered the Sea Scallops ($54). I ordered a wedge salad ($17) and we ordered saute broccoli ($15) and the corn brulee ($16). I had heard a lot about this side corn brulee I needed to try it. A delicious warm rolls were served to us. We enjoyed. We split the Wedge Salad which was perfect for the two of us. The salads were served with a chilled fork and chilled knife. Nice touch. We had a blip with the entree when I was served a filet mignon. I immediately said I ordered the NY Strip when Michaela came over and said no problem. She took the filet and my wife's entree back to the kitchen and said would have the strip steak for me shortly. Food was brought back in a short time. We even had a manager come over to apologize for the error. Food quality was outstanding. The strip steak was cooked to perfection, my wife loved her scallops. We enjoyed the sides of broccoli and cream corn brulee. Michaela did well to check on satisfaction as did the manager who came back to the table while we were eating. After completion of our entree we told the bus person John that we needed to box up what we couldn't finish. He did so and Michaela came by and inquired if we wanted dessert. We had to pass - however she said that due to the mistake in my entree that the restaurant would be happy to buy us a dessert. We decided to take it home with us for later consumption. All in all this was an excellent dinner, food quality was outstanding. The restaurant did a great job recovering from the small issue and didn't miss a beat. The prices are expensive but the food quality and presentation provide an excellent overall price/value. We recommend this experience and look forward to returning on a future date night. I did note they scored a 97 on their most recent health inspection showing they are doing a good job following food sanitation standards.

The quality of the food was good. Craig the server was excellent with his recommendations and the breakdown of the menu. We felt that additional staff came at an inconvenient time to inquiry about our experience / first visit because our food had just arrived. The prices didn't reflect the type of restaurant that is deemed to be as well as being overrated. The ambiance could've been much nicer and overall the restaurant was congested.

Excellent service. Very good food and the menu was quite good. Not inexpensive, but worth it. Every bit as good if not superior to Ruth’s Chris.

We visited first back in Jan - I would rate the aged ribeye in my top 3 all times steaks and I have eaten in many steakhouses all over the world. All the food was excellent and all 4 of us really had a great night. We got a bad bottle of wine with clumps of stringy stuff that they claimed was normal, and instead of just giving us fresh wine said they would strain it into a other glass, very dissapointed. We went back today and service, drinks and appertizers were awesome, kids lived the pork belly and all was good except the steak which I was really looking forward to was a lump of connective tissue - just really bad. Server and manager agreed and said the chef should not have served it. They covered desert which was really nice but too late to replace the steak unless I wanted to eat alone so pretty dissapointed. Great or even good chefs can look at the steak before it is cooked and know that it will be an issue, this was just a really bad cut. So 2 visits both with some issues, one badly resolved and both very avoidable. I will go back but strike 3 would be the last.

Mediocre. Food was good. However, despite booking for a birthday celebration at no point did they even wish the person a happy birthday which was disappointing. minimum effort would have been appreciated.

Joined the New Years weekend guest for the best steak and seafood in a long time. Ordered the Ribeye after having the largest shrimp I have ever seen. The oysters and shrimp were fresh off the boat! The steak was seasoned, grilled, and presented to perfection! Pricey but the service and meal made it well worth the visit.

Everyone definitely made my birthday a memorable one. Exceptional service throughout the night. Food and drinks were amazing. Even had a personalized card from the management. It added a special touch to the occasion. Hubby did an excellent job picking the restaurant. We will definitely come back. It’s worth it!

Took my wife tonight for our anniversary and the food and service were out of this world. No detail was missed. This was my 2nd time and my wife's first. Tajia was our server and she did a phenomenal job - attentive without hovering, fun to interact with, and the team supporting her did a great job. Katie was the sommelier and recommended a wine that worked perfectly for both my wife and me. The steaks we ordered were prepared perfectly and it was obvious the quality of the meat was the best. The sides were amazing! We had the sweet corn creme Brule, au gratin potatoes, and praline sweet potatoes. Everything was perfect. They closed the meal by offering us a dessert on the house. We couldn't make up our minds between the house special (which ended up being the best cake I've ever had) a cake with pralines, caramel, vanilla Gelato and whipped cream or the homemade key lime pie. Tajia said we needed both and gave us the key lime pie on the house to take home later to enjoy too. The service and food were superb and you will be hard pressed to find a better dining experience and steak than Steak 48.

Poor service. Food was good but nothing that blown away by. Nothing that stands out versus other good steak places in town

The Steaks were amazing/Bartenders knowledgeable fantastic craft cocktails and superior wine list. Atmosphere is brilliant and electric. Staff was very professional; watch out for the upselling. The Pork Belly app was excellent along with the Ceaser with pouched egg. The highlight are the steaks, we had bone in Ribeye, bone in Filet, Tomahawk Por Chop and Veal In Veal Chop; some of the best we've had in our lives. Cooked to Perfection. We would go back and stick with the basics again Steak/Cocktails/Wine. Enjoy.

Coming through NC recently. Chicago Steak 48 no stranger to me! However, Steak 48 blew me away for one reason, our server. No wonder the Mastro Brothers are killing it! Caitlin was far more than a server and knows her wines like I know my kid's names! Very rare to see this type of talent in a younger person. Of course, the food was amazing as always but she kicked it over the top for us. Sommelier vibes and great food...more than we paid for!

This was our Valentine's Date Night! We definitely enjoyed the food and atmosphere. It's not just a spot for couples. It's great social outings, girls night out, and so on. I forgot to get pics of the food but everything was superb and portions were fulfilling. We'll be back soon!

I am not a big steak guy but the Filet that I got was amazing. I ordered mine medium-well (I hear you rolling your eyes) and my son got his Filet rare. Both were cooked exactly as ordered. If you order sides, one order will be enough for at least 2 people. I got the Potatoes Au Gratin and I was disappointed with them. Not much flavor. I ordered Shishito Peppers for an appetizer. They were bland as well. The Service was great.

Steak 48 takes the best global dining to a whole new level. The wait-staff is without a doubt, the most professional I've ever experienced in my global travels. They're almost like actors; speaking eloquently, courteously, warm and friendly. Our server, Tyler, should be the "poster child" for professional servers. And then there's the food. OMG. Truly the best of the best. We tried appetizers, raw bar, steaks, lobsters, an array of side dishes AND dessert. Among the best food experiences I've ever had. Everything perfectly cooked and served. Steaks arrived in plates that were 500 degrees. Incredible. Ambiance was also incredible. Small rooms, magnificent wall decor, and quiet enough to hear table conversation. On a scale of 1-10 Steak 48 is a 50.

I got to say that our friends had eaten here before flying out of Charlotte and raved about it. Along with them, we drove from Columbia, SC to eat. First, we do lots of steak places and generally the majority of them are good. I have to say that the steak here was superb and the appetizers and sides were beyond any we have had anywhere. The corn crepe brûlée, pork belly and fried devil eggs with shrimp were fabulous. In addition, the service was 5 Star!!! We will be back!!!!
