If you are in Chicago and want a good steak with a good vibe this is the place to be. The service is top notch and servers are very attentive. If you are looking for a quite romantic dinner this is not the place to be. Imagine scenery as Rosa negra in Cancun, STK is a smaller version of that. Upbeat place with great decor and ambiance. Have a live DJ and they have fire sparklers show during dinner. Perfect place to host a party dinner or to start your night out with to set the mood. Food is amazing , the steam is cooked to perfection and the drinks are strong and good. It is on the pricier end, but then again if you are out for a fancy steak dinner expect to pay min 100 plus. The sliders are the best thing on the menu
I went here solo for a bday dinner.
I had the calamari and braised beef. The calamari was cooked well and seasoned right. The braised beef which I normally NEVER do was super tender with the cream potatoes. I really enjoyed my meal. The ambiance is really nice inside. Light music with the bar and a lot of tables and booths. Not too close together. My bar tender was Brian who was a gem and Alex was a doll. They made me feel very welcomed. I would definitely come back!

This place is more of a bar/club than a restaurant.
It's a great place to chill with your friends on a weekend. Can't go wrong with a live dj in the house. As for the food, it's not that bad, but if you're a real foodie, you probably need to keep looking.
So glad I stopped in this spot.
Customer service is everything. Danny and Axle were so friendly and made our experience that much better. The drinks were so good, and I tried the wagyu tacos and oysters.. I can't say enough about this place. Great staff and quality happy hour... I don't go out often but I will be back for sure! Kudos to great food and better ambiance.

STK definitely goes above and beyond to hear out customer feedback and for that I have to give big kudos. Top notch : Mashed potatoes(they hand peel every morning and prepare it)..it was so soft and melted in my mouth! 6oz steak was cooked to perfection, tuna tartare with chips on top was so good. Best- sea bass, sliders, the sauce for the fries, cheese cake Average- Mac and cheese was a bit dry, chocolate cake was too thick for us. Drinks-not your daddy's old fashion, guava drink, stk mule, Meh- hibiscus drink tasted syrupy The vibe really makes the place a fun upscale place to go for dinners and celebration. Popping music. They bring out sparklers fri and sat night and walk around every table. This is the closest place to Rosa Negra I have seen in America!! Best server we encountered there:Mr.Wright. I have to say my first time at STK I had a poor experience due to the server however, I have to note the top notch customer service provided by Danielle for hearing our feedback and inviting us back to try them again! I haven't see a lot of restaurants making the effort to hear out those customer feedback surveys but STK truly cares and makes changes to help customers!
I've been here twice.
Always wonderful food. Steak is cooked to perfection. I order mine medium rare. I've also had the braised beef ribs....absolutely perfection. It is a little higher priced but the food and atmosphere make it well worth it. Highly recommend.

I loved it ! The food and service was great, so we made reservations for STK in Chicago for my son's graduation dinner. Terrible from beginning to end. Our server was deaf and couldn't hear anything we were saying. We had to repeat ourselves several times. Our steaks came and we had no steak knives, our salads came and no one offered fresh ground pepper. No one was budding our table and when asked for some plates to be removed we were told they're not supposed to remove dishes because it's the bussers job. My husbands lobster was not cooked thoroughly and was still cold. The waitress brought us the check and didn't ask if we would like some dessert or coffee. I asked for a manager at that point. Thank you for Daniel the manager who I spoke with and he made it right by taking 1/2 off our check. I appreciated his efforts but the evening was ruined at this point. This was the worst steak house I ever went to. Our waitresses name was Sandra, knowing we were upset at this point, she still had the nerve not to apologize and watched as my husband signed the tab to see what her tip was. Whether you received good service or not, you don't watch the customer over their shoulder to see what they're leaving you.
WARNING, READ BEFORE YOU DINE.
I brought my date here for Valentine's Day and our experience was absolutely horrific. I made reservations MONTHS in advance and we live about an hour away. We left and began our drive over about 90 minutes in advance to ensure plenty of time. We discovered, upon the drive, that there was far more traffic than we could have anticipated, therefore pushing our ETA back by approx 16 minutes. I called STK to inform them that we may be a little bit late due to these unforeseen circumstances to which the lady on the other end responded "we can only hold your spot for 15 minutes". I expressed that I understood and that I had made these reservations months and months in advance and it would only be literally 1 minute over the 15 grace period. She responded with "well you made the reservation months in advance so you had plenty of time to prepare". This careless response astounded both myself and my date. I have never had an interaction with someone this disrespectfully. My logic is that if I am driving to you restaurant to spend HUNDREDS of dollars for one meal, you should treat your guests better than garbage. My date immediately stated that we should go elsewhere but this restaurant was her choice and she had been wanting to go. So we went anyways. We did fortunately get there within the grace period and were sat at a table in extremely close proximity to others near their backdoor, maybe 2 feet away from the person behind you and close enough where we could clearly hear the conversations of the couple next to us ( I hope that first date went well for you guys), with the more than occasional passerby staring at us while walking past the restaurant outside the back door. Very weird. Our waitress was very nice and polite but not very attentive to our needs. She only checked on us once and did not address the issue we had. My date and I both ordered the Valentine's Day special wagyu steak along with mashed potatoes, lobster tail for me, shrimp for her and the corn pudding. We each ordered a soft drink and shared the lava cake dessert. My dates steak was ordered medium but came out red. She did not eat the whole 5oz steak, which is very small anyways. Upon sharing this information with the waitress, she said "oh". My date and I did not feel in the mood to argue so just said ok it's no big deal, whatever. Early the following morning we both threw up and had diarrhea, me for 2-3 days and her for a whole week. I did call the restaurant the next day but was asked a multitude of questions by the operator and then placed on hold for so long I had to hang up due to having to go to work. The following day I called again and again after answering so many questions and being placed on hold for almost 20 minutes I got into contact with a supervisor. She seemed understanding and expressed that her manager would contact me within 3 days. It's now been almost 3 weeks and I have heard nothing. Initially I just wanted to be heard and to make sure this experience was not repeated to other guests but at this point after spending $400 and being treated like useless, worthless garbage, I would like a full refund. This place should not be open for business with such lack of training from the hostesses to upper management who clearly and obviously do not care at all whatsoever!

Signature Steaks are Prepared with dedication, respecting the cut, and can be accompanied by an al la carte side of your choosing. The steak prepared to your specifications is handled with a chef's detail to delight the diner, however don't arrive with a voracious appetite... but IF you do, make sure to come prepared to have your pockets lightened to satiate said appetite. You will easily come away on average with a $125 pp bil, that doesnt include drinks, one note: sides can be shared with approximately 2 people. Sides are palletable nothing worth over characterization. The service and attention to detail as far as the meal, addressing the Menu was on point! The server was well read and explained the parings. STK hands down is an exceptional celebratory or date night venue. The only detractor of the evening, thus the 4 stars not 5, the server had an issue using his handheld POS System , some how he swiped my card 14 x with three different amounts wracking up charges over $8700!!!!! I am yet waiting on my banking institution to reverse the charges!!!! The Manager was gracious and profusely apologetic of the incident, inviting us back for a complimentary meal in lieu of the inconvenience, that's classy, thank you M. SORTO, your gesture was indeed, redeeming in that moment. Now you've been informed, Head over to STK , tell them CammyD sent you!!!! Two Fingers, One Love CAMMYD!!!!!!

Stopped in for a quick drink and stayed for the best happy hour. Warwick was great and made the best lemon drop for us and gave us great suggestions for food and apps. Miguel the manager stopped by to greet us and gave great hospitality. The service and the ambiance were great for a Sunday evening!

Our server was extremely rude! Michael, he started off extremely sweet and complimented us we order our food, which was the lamb, a side of lobster mac and 2 glasses of wine. He asked if that was all we said, yes, and he snatched the menu off the table. At time, we were not sure if he had an attitude or if we were reading too much into the situation, but it rubbed us both wrong to the point we discussed ordered more but we tried to enjoy the night. He brought over our wine he left immediately after dropping it, which was not a problem. The problem was when we decided we wanted Vegas bombs, we called him over and asked him if they could make them he said yes, we have Red Bull then he went to the table the right of us then to the table on the left took a shot with them then left again. DIDN'T finish his conversation with us and then proceeded to ignore us. We left, and we didn't even want the food worst experience we've ever had. UPDATE: They canceled my reservation so I could not leave a review on OpenTable so I'm gonna leave it here and let everybody know how horrible the service was.

came for my birthday celebratory dinner and he did NOT disappoint. drinks and apps came out insanely fast. dinner didn't disappoint either- 100% the truffle butter to accompany any steak. ambiance is great! good music, good scenery, everything was phenomenal here. mike himself was a fanatic server, coming from someone in the industry. he was attentive, charismatic, and hilarious. 100% recommend this place and mike!

i quite literally never want to go back here lollll! the food was so terrible and overpriced. i've never had bad lamb before and i hate to send food back but yeah, it went back this day. we had a resy still waited like an hour before the food came out. some people felt like the waitress had an attitude (i didn't experience this, but i also don't be caring lol). the place is cute and great for pics, i also love how they dance and have sparklers or whatever. but yeah don't have ur bday dinner here the food really is two thumbs down and it's so unfortunate.

It should be a club instead of a restaurant
Long wait… lack of service…ordered Restaurant week menu… instead of burrata they served us mozzarella (big difference, big mistake) I would have preferred they telling me “we are out of burrata”… Lots of add ons on the menu … I don’t think they should offer a Restaurant week menu if you end up paying almost regular prices for the dishes. The meat didn’t come medium rare but rare and when they cooked it more it came back super dry. It is supposed to be a steak house. Maybe it should be a night club instead of a restaurant… loud club music and ambiance … perfect for drink and dancing not for dinners.
Terrible service, obnoxious atmosphere...
There's a reason why they're so far down the list. The service is horrible, the atmosphere is pretty obnoxious, loud, packed, really the opposite of what you'd want in a dining experience. Our tall waiter didn't know the wines or the thickness of the steaks, and disappeared for about an hour without checking in, filling water or clearing dishes. We had to ask 3 or 4 people to get him so we could have dessert. The steak was fine, the oysters good, the cheesecake gelatine-y and the burrata too hard. I'd choose a different steakhouse.
Fraud
We visited STK River North in Chicago in August 2023. It was a good dinner but noticed a few days later I was charged a second bill of a different amount from the same night, appeared to be someone else's bill. The restaurant didn't return my calls for a few weeks so I eventually disputed this second charge via my credit card company. Long story short, STK management refused to work with my credit card company after initial contact and over the ensuing four month battle. I was dismayed over how STK treated me as a customer during this dispute process even though I paid for a legitimate meal that night and clearly did not have an entire second separate bill. I will never visit an STK again knowing the fraud that took place, their refusal to acknowledge the theft by an employee, and extremely poor customer service to rectify the situation for a paying customer.
To flee
Horrible !!! We booked for 8 p.m. After 15 minutes of waiting we were told there would still be at least 30 minutes of waiting. The staff is horrible. In short, flee!!!
The Restaurant Downgraded
I have been more than a handful of times to this location and tonight I saw many issues. The host was terrible, he sat us at a table that was not fully dry from a puddle. He dropped our menus three times and the table itself was not properly set up. The clientele seems to have also downgraded with many people acting rudely beside our table. I feel bad for our great server Sandra who had to deal with an awful couple. The food was great but a manager was nowhere to be found. The whole restaurant seemed unorganized. The food is not worth the price especially when there are many other classier options in the area.
Disappointed in the quality of the food
We were hoping for an awesome experience, and instead, we’re disappointed at the quality of the food we had. I had the 10 ounce fillet which was $78 and you could actually taste the char from the grill top they had not been cleaned. My wife ordered the 6 ounce fillet medium. It came out rare to medium rare so she hardly ate her dinner. It was late or else we would’ve sent it back but we were tired and just wanted to get back to our room. Our teen teenage daughter had the skirt steak and she said hers was fantastic. So this place got one out of three meals, correct. They bring you out a little loaf of bread before with a sauce on top. I highly recommend ordering that without the sauce. It was literally like cream of mushroom soup. It was disgusting. The bread was OK but the sauce was absolute gross. We dropped over $400 for dinner for three and my wife and I did not order drinks other than one glass of red wine so I was a little disappointed at how much money I spent for what I got in return. Will probably not go back.
They’ll steal your money
Double charged me and despite 3 calls in 2 weeks I’ve heard nothing back. They were nice during the call but obviously never plan to do anything about it. Either way it’s loud and crowed, the food is good but if you’re going to spend the money go somewhere with better customer service and atmosphere.
No bread, not worth the dough
Thrilled to be able to come and get dinner at 10 pm, everywhere else was closed. No bread, filet was well well done not med, here for special b'day but waiter forgot to bring shots and sparklers like all the other tables for, after plates cleared took 30 min for bill, 20 min to retrieve bill w payment and another 20 min to get card back. Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

I thought this would be a fun side hustle, but unfortunately it’s become like any other “side hustle”. Don’t waste your time with this crap. Not a question, just a suggestion.
