Really cute spot for brunch - whether you sit inside or outside! Service can be a bit slow sometimes, but it's worth the wait for their pancakes. I got the shashuka once and wouldn't get it againFollow me on Instagram/TikTok for more food reviews and photos - @global_grubs !
Be the first to ReplyNothing to really rave about here.
Food was eh and the dessert was nothing special. Overpriced ice cream machine "sundae". I will say it was nice to be able to sit down and not be rushed out of the restaurant. Service was great but not going back for the food.
Be the first to ReplyINCREDIBLE! One of the best brunch spots I've been to.
We did a walk-in on a Saturday afternoon and the wait was around 20 min which was not bad!The Shakshuka and Sunday Pancakes were MUST-HAVES! The Shakshuka was a delicious tomato-pepper blend served with focaccia and their twist on traditional pancakes were absolutely mouthwatering.Definitely check this place out! 10/10
Be the first to ReplyHighly overrated and overpriced.
I paid $36 on door dash for my order and I was highly disappointed. I got the cheddar scramble and Iced Chai. My eggs arrived undercooked and incredibly runny not to mention cold. I had to finish cooking them. The potatoes were mediocre. The toast was dry. And the "crispy bacon" was very fatty and not crispy. Their iced chai literally tasted like water with high fructose corn syrup in it with a hint of chai flavor. I take my iced beverages very seriously and they fall completely short & have nerve to charge $7. The entire meal was a waste or my money and time. I'm doubt I'll ever pay that much again or give them a try. I've seen enough and I'm not a fan.
Be the first to ReplyI came for the infamous 'pancake.
I ordered it with the sauce on the side just because every picture I saw looked like the pancake was drowning in it. So I immediately tasted a bit of the sauce which is a heavy hazelnut flavor but very smooth in texture. I started the pancake off with the maple syrup because ITS A PANCAKE! The first thought that came to mind was the texture of the pancake, which was very crisp. YUMMY!! The inside is also very fluffy.BUT, as a whole the first thing that came to mind when I tasted it was a toasted corn muffin. I tried it with the sauce, which was too nutty for my liking. For the sides I got the scrambled cheddar eggs, home fries and chicken bacon. The chicken bacon was sweet.Beverage - green matcha latteOverall I would say 3.5 stars!! I would come back again for the pancake with maple syrup :)

this place has a very intimate and cozy ambience with the candles and beautiful cutlery. the menu is pretty limited for vegetarians which made it tough to have options. we ordered the gnocchi thinking it was vegetarian but it had pork in it. the service was quick and friendly and i loved the drink options a lot! the hot beet cocoa was like nothing else and would absolutely recommend. overall, i don't think i'll be coming again because it is quite expensive and doesn't have many options for my diet.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a cute spot.
I popped in for a late Wednesday lunch & we easily got a spot indoors. The food was good and the service was decent. The chai latte with almond milk which was delicious, the cheddar scramble was good, and the chicken sandwich was phenomenal. Nothing super memorable or out of the ordinary, don't think I'd wait in line for it, but a solid brunch spot no less!

Sunday in Brooklyn is a very popular wburg brunch spot, so I went in a little skeptical - but the food and drinks were very good. This place has been having its moment for a while so their prices reflect that demand, but given how popular they are it could be worse. We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with fries and avocado toast; the sandwich was tender and flavorful, and about what you'd expect spice-wise for a spicy sandwich (could be hotter, but plays to the lower heat tolerance) and the avocado toast was a good size. Drinks were good, if on the smaller side - their take on the espresso martini was well balanced. Our server was quick and had good drink recommendations that we took them up on. We *did not* feel rushed, but our food came out pretty quickly and we were in and out within an hour. You have to book 3+ weeks out, which will get even tighter as it gets warmer. Currently you can usually snag a 3:30 reservation which sounds late for brunch but they're still packed with a waitlist, so you don't feel like you're missing out on the experience.Tip: the "greenhouse" is really just a sealed openstreets sitting area. Clever marketing but, especially in these months, recommend you angle for the indoor reservation.

I went to Sunday in Brooklyn last Sunday and Jack was a class act. His service was great and he was cool calm and kind. I wasn't in love with my biscuits and gravy, but that pancake was def worth the hype.

This place was absolutely fantastic!! The ambience, the service, and the food was amazing! The food looked so good that I will be coming here again very soon to try what I didn't order. however, what I did order was so good it'll be difficult to decide if i want to try something new, or go with what I ordered. TL:DR this place was amazing!!
Be the first to ReplyReportedly, the weekend scene is super busy.
Hence, it was fortuitous that we were off on a weekday to try the brunch here. We made a reservation for four at noon and the inside was actually quite full. We were immediately seated. The service was attentive. The cocktail list was extensive and the price was consistent with NYC living. I tried the snake charmer, which was sweeter and less "herbacious" than it sounded. I liked the rhymes with mango better, but still on the sweeter side. For the actual meal, I opted for the burger, which was average. Upon arrival, the bottom bun was already too soggy to consume. The fries were great though. My friends enjoyed their sausage biscuit, fried chicken sandwich and the egg sandwich. We decided to split a one-stack pancake. The pancake was different. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't amazing to come during the busy weekend for. Overall, this is a great option for brunch. Not sure if it's amazing enough if the wait is obscenely long.

I often find that no reservation brunch places in New York aren't worth the wait, but Sunday in Brooklyn was an exception! We went on a Saturday morning around 1pm and waited around 45 min for a table for 2 inside. We shared the cheddar scramble (definitely the best scrambled eggs I've ever had), the Sunday burger (also insane and not too overwhelming with the toppings or amount of meat which I appreciated; great fries as well), and a side salad (don't think this was on the menu, but we just asked our waiter who was accommodating). The staff was also really lovely, and the restaurant was all around a great vibe! Would definitely come back.

I came here today with a friend to catch up and have a little fun brunch. I'd like to start by saying our waiter Payton was super nice and attentive. For drinks we both ordered the Honey Bear. It came in a cute little honey bear container and was a really good drink. I'd recommend. For our meals I ordered the Cheddar Scramble with with bacon. The meal was great with the exception of the eggs, which were a little runny and unseasoned. My friend ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich with a side of Long Island Home Fried. She enjoyed everything but the sandwich was a little messy. Overall a great little brunch spot, I would definitely recommend and would definitely come back!
Be the first to ReplyWonderful for brunch or dinner on the weekend.
Classic Brooklyn spot. Pancakes are the star of brunch with an incredible unique sauce and butter combo. Dinner is also good. Burger strong.

It's hard to find brunch spots where the food is ACTUALLY delicious. Sunday in Brooklyn is one of those places! I got the skirt steak & eggs. The steak with chimichurri were finger licking good, amazing flavor. The eggs were also made perfectly. We brought our pittie Frankie & we felt extremely welcomed. Frankie even got a water bowl with his name on it! Our server, Peyton was super friendly & welcoming. We will for sure be back again to try the pancakes!

I came here yesterday for the first time with my friend and it could be that we came on a bad day but the fried chicken sandwich I ordered came severely undercooked. When I initially asked the server if the chicken looked normal to her she said yes and I continued to eat only for the chicken to start bleeding after I took another bite. I immediately lost my appetite and the server apologized for the raw chicken however I really can't look at this place anymore without thinking about the raw chicken that was in my mouth. Today I feel a bit sick and I just hope to god I don't have salmonella. I was a little disappointed in how they handled the situation... I mean food poisoning should be a big deal for any restaurant establishment. It's clear they don't use a thermometer to make sure the meat is cooked thoroughly. That aside, the taste of the food was very average however the drinks were very good. I really wanted to like this place but I personally don't think it's worth the hype.
Be the first to ReplyLet's talk service.
Sadly my friends and I were supposed to be there for brunch but I took years to get ready. Got there at 5:30 instead of 3:45 just terrible, and I really wanted their hotcakes. Still got seated!! we got there in time for the midday menu !! Not only was I able to have the hotcakes as a snack I was also able to have the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer how lovely. Food was great I ate my burger so fast I forgot to take a picture. The dessert though... to die for CANT wait to come back.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food.
Worth a try. Fried chicken sandwich was good. The steak and eggs were very tasty and filling.
Be the first to ReplyThe pancakes are a MUST.
Get a double stack and share with a friend. Anymore than that and you won't be able to finish it. There's something nostalgic about the taste that I can't quite place. It's viscous, buttery and hazelnutty and just eyes rolling back in your head good. Even the butter they place atop is special. The cheddar scramble and home fries are not memorable at all. It had a hint of spice which I was pleased with because oftentimes eggs or home fries are totally devoid of any flavor, but even with that it wasn't anything worth getting. The dairy free s'mores ice cream I really disliked but I don't think it's fair for me to pass judgement on it being that I'm not a dairy free eater. All in all, come for the pancakes. Otherwise, don't expected to be floored by the rest of the food.
