Be the first to ReplyI am a huge fan of this place.
It is my go to in Abby. In fact my wife gets me to get take out and take to her in Surrey.Super friendly staff and great food. The portion sizes of the curry and butter chicken are much better than other places nearby.Keep up the good work.Richard A.

I came here because I love east Indian cuisine figured a quick lunch as I passed thru.I came im decided on chicken curry made my order and asked for the bathroom. The bathroom wasn't very clean. Then I heard a knock, a woman's voice very firmly asking me to leave the bathroom.Sure. Opened the door women in a hairnet says this is not a public bathroom.Im a paying customer I said.I've never had this happen to me in all my years of dining out.I should have walked out. They didn't even have my order started.I really should have walked out. She didn't even apologize not once. Very curt the whole time.I sat down. They didn't even have the courtesy of turning on the over head booth lights.I look to my left. The napkins in the holder were hastily stuffed in and stained with this red liquid. The portions extremely small. I had to ask for rice when I asked for it on the first time.Just a litany terrible restaurant practices. Guys mixing the palaak in the kitchen with the pot right on the floor no beard net for his bushy beard. Ive worked kitchens for a year and a half. I asked for spicy it was mild. The rice was wet slimy and a bit undercooked. Thats not how bassmati rice should appear. No presentation slopped on the plate not even shaped. Im already this far in I thought. Choke it down and finish im paying for itWalk right past this place and never step.In. Avoid at all costsI've never posted a negative review. But yeah worst experience of my life by far
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely not a nice place to sit in and dine.
There is a menu on the wall. No frills take out kind of place. Butter chicken was creamy with more than the usual four pieces of meat. Aloo ghobi wasn't drowning in oil and had bigger cut cauliflower and potatoes. Pakora was not greasy. Naan was the thin kind which I prefer.

AWESOME food and service! On a business trip in the area, we looked on yelp for Indian food. Saw this little place looked like an authentic hole in the wall kinda place, and so glad we came. Walked in an there was a friendly older gentleman who called a young woman to come over to help me place an order. She was super helpful and I told her I was wanting takeout but didn't have much time, and she/they worked hard to help me get my order fast, they even finished faster than I hoped. The food was sooo good, highly recommend. We ordered lamb curry, lamb biryani, chicken biryani, fish pakoras, naans, and mango lassi. Very tasty, great spices, asked them for not spicy fish pakoras for the kids and they were perfect and they loved them. We love to eat and the portions were huge, got another meal out of it the next day. Everything was perfect food wise except the lassi was a little less thick than what I'm used too, but they made it so fast for us it was no problem and the taste was perfect. If we lived in the area we would go more often, but hopefully others check this great place out.
Be the first to ReplyVegetable samosas here are absolutely delicious.
Love this place. Their sauce is amazing too! Thank you for making your samosas so great!
Be the first to ReplyThis is quite possibly the best Indian food I've ever had.
Not only is the food really good, it's reasonably priced and the service is excellent. I would recommend Bhavs to anyone. I live in Washington near the US/CA border and cross regularly to get take out.

We had the Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Keema Naan, and butter naan. Everything was very tasty. The butter chicken was very creamy. Keema Naan was a little spicier than I've had before, but really good. Definitely would come back.
Be the first to Replyis it Bhav or Nav? or did Nav turn into Bhav? In any case.
Love this place. As stated- no frills but I've never had anything from there we didn't like. And its affordable! Perfect for take out. Thank you! (And we aren't even from Abbotsford lol)

Yum! We were going to be in Abbotsford for the day, so we looked up restaurants in the area on Yelp, saw Dean's review and came to check out Nav. Super, super tasty food. We had Dal Tarka, Jeera Alloo and some plain naan (and got some gulab jamun to go). It was all outstanding. The dal was spicy and creamy, the jeera alloo was cooked just right and the naan was fresh and just the right crispy/chewy/hot combination. The decor of the place is a bit on the minimalist/sketchy side. There was a big TV with cords running all over the place, showing a cricket match, and a large, extremely precarious-looking aquarium propped up on two milk crates and kind of leaning over like it was about to fall and smash to pieces. Who cares? It was clean...that's good enough for me.The service was just how I like it; sufficient. Our order was taken politely and accurately, the food didn't take long and the presentation was nice, and we weren't harassed repeatedly throughout the meal.So all in all, if you want to pay for "atmosphere" or if you like being checked on every other minute by your server, you probably won't care for Nav. Inexpensive, excellent Indian food. It's a long drive to Abbotsford just for lunch, but we'll probably go out of our way to come here if we're anywhere nearby.
