Probably the best way to summarize this visit is to give you a chronological order of events. We arrived 10 minutes after opening at 12:10 PM. The hostess while not rude was very unfriendly. The waitress was incredibly friendly and try to be helpful if she was overwhelmed. As a result of that we did not get very prompt food, water or drink service. They are very short on gluten-free menu items and my wife is celiac so that made it tough. She ordered a hamburger without a bun and after waiting one hour and 15 minutes or food finally arrived I’ll wait to see her burger raw and mine lukewarm. That said mine was extremely good tasting. We told them we had a timeline to me as we had to check out of the hotel so they said they would correct her as soon as they could. After another 20 minutes they came back with a slightly less raw but still mostly unedible hamburger. After two hours of this castle trying to get a simple lunch. When discussing with a manager she was very unwilling to do much for our inconvenience and finally gave us a hamburger for free. When we complained about the total experience she reluctantly took off our salad as well. Summary is very good food and a beautiful location but on this day they really lost touch with customer service especially relative to what they charge.
