Terrible staff attitude
Went to the restaurant 27th Feb 2023 Was told to order from the QR quote , while ordering ( not very user friendly) putting the orders I encounter some problem, wave for I staff to assist me, as the website was a little complicated ( as I say. Not very user friendly ) I saw a couple of guest in other tables also encounter some problem After some time the staff left me to continue ordering ( total 10 items I ordered ) Again I encounter some problem. Request one staff to help me She told me the order have some issue and itโs hang ! I told her. Do I have to start all over again. She say yes ! At this point. I was not very happy and I told her why makes ordering so difficult for the customer and I ask my guest whether we should forget about eating in this place and go to other more friendly restaurant The staff reply itโs up to you !! What an attitude toward a guest Am not going for free food and not asking for discount Probably their business is so good they have this attitude of canโt be bothered

Food was bought from the Tanglin stall and was atrociously bad. The Ayam Goreng was extremely salty. Apart from half an egg, a few thin slices of tahu and half a potato, the Gado Gado has nothing except sliced vegetable. The Tahu Telor was equally stingy with the tahu. Not coming back anymore.

Best Indonesian food available in the whole Orchard! Our favourites are the Assam Fish Head, Tahu Telok and Beef Rendang!

Be the first to ReplyRude and terrible service
My friend and I visited the paragon outlet at around 6.50pm on Monday. They refused to sit us before the full party arrived (but this policy wasnโt congruent coz they were letting others stream in to tables where friends were waiting). The restaurant wasnโt full house but that was pretty unfair. They also refused to let another pregnant lady with her toddler sit for the same reason. There was a big group of business diners. Servers seemed very interested in ensuring they had the best time. In the midst of the meal, before we could even finish all the food, a male server barged to our table and RUDELY asked if he we were done and if he could clean the table. Didnโt understand this urgency as it was (i) just 8pm and the restaurant wasnโt closing (ii) there were other groups still eating (iii) there were diners who just left and their tables werenโt cleaned yet. Terribly disappointed with such bad service which left us feeling like freeloaders when we paid close to $100 for the meal. Wonโt recommend.
Be the first to ReplyRude service, not appreciating guest. Feel treated like we are dispensable
I know the reataurant is full, but we feel they could service us better, especially when telling us, of not consuming outside food ( we bought some snacks for the toddler, as malaysian food is rather spicy) The exact phrase they told us was "lucky we spot you, untung kena tangkap". As though we were thieves. They could tell us in a polite way instead. The management should train the waiters better, and appreciate visiting guests. Implement this in their core training that food business is a service business. Wish they could improve this in the future
Be the first to Replybeen here since i was younger
Ive patronize Tambuah Mas since i was younger but this outlet is new to me

Sedapppppppp !!
First visit to an authentic Indonesian restaurant
This is my 1st time going to this restaurant ๐ด
I had Nasi Campur Daging (Mix rice with Beef Rendang, Sayur Lodeh, Sambal Goreng & Acar) for $13++, changed white rice to yellow rice for an extra $2++ and also Gado-Gado for $8.50++ ๐
Have to say the Beef Rendang was the best I've ever had, was so soft and tender ๐๐
Indonesian food
Heard about this place and brought my friend who craved for indo food. Had rendang, petai, sambal goreng udang, ikan gurame, singkong santan, tahu telor, sambal terasi. All of the food was pretty tasty, the gravy from the singkong was nice. Fish crunchy, tahu telor was good. Rendang was different from the indo style but the meat soft and tasty. 3pax cost around $155. A bit pricy, but worth it.
Be the first to ReplyGood flavor
We visited this place about two weeks ago.
When we arrive the many tables in the restaurant were reservered, however, the staff was kind enough to find a table for us.
Food was good in flavor and two of my family do not eat meats and even the non meat food were good.
One thing I noticed that needs improvement is that the service. The staff seemed to be not well trained, and bit preoccupied with their personal matters and had to call them several times to get their attention.
Anyway, I can recommend this place for a good meal.
An Indonesian restaurant in orchard which Indonesians will go to
Been going here regularly and finally decided to give a review. As an Indonesian, the tastes of the food reminds me of home, though some dishes are actually a bit โMalayโ (eg. The rendang, the satay) but the nasi goreng, the tahu telur and the gado-gado are pretty much Indonesian (I recommend those dishes!). A bit of patience is required: they seem to be constantly understaffed. However you can be assured you are in a good restaurant when you see that Indonesians are queuing to enter the restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyDecent Indonesian Food
Having tried a number of 'chain' Indonesian restaurants, we tried this one in hope for some more authentic Indo food. On offer were a range of dishes from around the Indonesian archipelago. We tried the Satay which was good, Rendang - best dish of the night, tender beef simmered in spices which replicated what could be found in eateries in Indo, Singkong in a lovely padang style curry sauce, tempe, perkedel - all authentic in taste. The sambal could have been a bit more refined but all in all a great meal. Only problem was the prices, but being in Paragon it was expected to be over priced for the dishes that were served, but the tastes were good!
Be the first to Replyquality falling off the cliff
satay shrank so much; looks and tastes like overnight food they placed back on the grill. Also, tauhu telok shrank dramatically. pity cos this place used to have decent food; now they're paring down costs and the quality is just awful.

This lunch was a pure chance leap of faith and what a leap it turned out to be.
I was in Singapore on a duty night stop and ventured out for lunch. I found myself in Paragon around lunch time and all the walking g had made me hungry. The basement level has a plethora of restaurants and I was spilt for choice. Thatโs when I chanced up the Tambuah Mas sign and my thoughts went to the Rendang curry I had tried and so loved in Bali. This the choice was made.
The staff is incredible. Courteous and prompt. I was seated and as he noticed me struggle through the menu Adam the manager came over to assist. On hearing my desire for Rendang curry not only did he highly recommend it but he suggested the rice and vegetable pairing as well.
I am so glad I went with his choice.
The Rendang Lembu is a tender braised beef stewed in traditional spice blend and coconut milk. Sauce is absorbed by the meat which makes it a thickish gravy.
To offset the richness of the Rendang he suggested the Singkong santan. That is
Tapioca leaves simmered in green beans and coconut gravy
Instead of the steamed rice that I chose he suggested the Nasi kuning. A yellow turmeric rice cooked in coconut milk.
What can i say!!!!
Well the sign in the restaurant says
โServing generations with heartwarming food since 1981 โ
Heartwarming is absolutely spot on. Finger licking delicious food that I lapped up and devoured despite being alone and the portion size being generous.
I look forward to going again for the same meal.
Decent Indonesia cuisine
Food is average . Looks like the food are pre-cooked as when it served kind of like warm. Except the fried milk fish Kind of special on that day which took slightly longer to serve. The service is average as we have to called multiple times for the sambal chili for the dip with the fried emping. Ordered Tahu Goreng which is average, fried Kang king with sambal chili is rather salty. The friend chicken is not Tok bad and the fried milk fish was quite good.
Be the first to ReplyGood food, terrible service
The food here has always been good but we had terrible service at dinner last night. When my husband and I arrived at 7pm, we asked for a table for three and were immediately seated. There was no queue before or after us, and a few tables that were available.
As soon as we were sat, we ordered our drinks but were asked if we wanted to order food as well. We declined as we were still waiting for one more friend. The staff who took our drinks order then said, we "needed" to order now. Again, we declined and said our friend was only 5-10 minutes away.
Not 5 minutes later, an older man came back to our table and rudely said, "By right when you sit down you have to order".
At no point were we told we had to be a full party to be seated or that we had to order immediately, and the first lady who sat us knew we were still waiting on one more person.
Again, we declined as we knew our friend had already arrived at the mall and was walking over. At this point there were still several empty tables and no queue so it wasn't as if we were holding up anyone. We understand restaurants wanting quicker turn around times but surely that's not an excuse to be rude to customers.
Such a disappointment as the food was delicious and priced well. That said, good Indonesian food is easily accessible in Singapore anyway so plenty other options if you're in the mood.
