90 minute wait? Not a 4.5 star experience. Is the food good? Yes, but not mind blowing. Is the restaurant ambiance good? Yes, but just good. Tendon Kohaku definitely serves great food and offers great service (for Seattle standards). If you're

My cousin took me here while I was on a quick getaway.

So light and crispy!! Best tempura I've had outside of Japan. If you have a chance, make sure to make a reservation to come and eat at Tendon! Also, the katsu curry is a generous and delicious portion. Save room for dessert.

I tried their seasonal dishes for fall and they were both a hit! The yuzu-infused salmon in the Akiaji tendon set was mind-blowingly good. There was a generous amount of uni on the hokkaido uni udon too. Our server for tonight, Nael, was so attentive

Great service and delicious food!! Portions are generous.
We were seated in the booth section in the back which was much quieter than the front of the restaurant. We were able to get a 6PM reservation 2 days before! Danya was our server and he was phenomenal :)

Tendon Kohaku really delivered.
I ordered the chicken katsu curry with Omurice, and from the first bite, I was transported--this curry tasted exactly like the first time I had Japanese curry in Japan. Rich, comforting, and just the right amount of spice. The chicken katsu was spot

Ordered the Akiaji Tendon Set off the seasonal menu and was blown away. Despite the long wait, it was 100% worth it. Each dish is large -- good enough to feed 1.5 to 2 people. I would definitely come back again to try other items on the menu.

I’ve always wanted to try this restaurant, but the notoriously long line had always kept me away. When I finally got the chance to dine there, I quickly understood the hype. The menu is focused and limited, specializing in Japanese tempura—my hu
Worth the wait

Outstanding Salmon Carpaccio and try the Jiggly Kitten Dessert!
Wow. Some truly outstanding salmon carpaccio ($15) came from the kitchen with some of the most beautiful presentation. Then exceptionally fresh Uni -- about 30 ounces -- on a creamy udon dish that included Ikura (salmon roe) and the tiny crunchy fish
Great food undermined by pathetic service
I have been wanting to try this place for the longest time and finally... we made it. The food was delicious with the tempura fried food just perfectly cooked. Rice and sauces were good, too. The dessert was next level: The coconut jelly in the shape

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Tendon Kohaku Bellevue at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Tendon Kohaku Bellevue page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FluffyStar64 now uses their connections at Tendon Kohaku Bellevue to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FluffyStar64 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Tendon Kohaku Bellevue!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
