I went here for a proper afternoon tea on my last day in London. My friend and I got a great deal for a champagne afternoon tea through TimeOut London. We were quickly escorted to our seats and promptly served our champagne. Our server was very attentive throughout, not checking in too much, but always making sure we had everything we needed and taking away the empty serving dishes. The sandwiches were good. I'm not a fan of fish so I couldn't eat most of what they offered. The scones were absolutely delicious though. They were served warm and were the perfect combination of firm on the outside and moist on the inside. By the time we made it to the pastries, we were completely full. However, we still made room for them. The ones I managed to eat were very good. The only complaint I have is that the tea, while served hot, was served in teabags instead of lose leaf, like most other afternoon teas and cafes. Other than that, I would definitely recommend a visit.
