Food was amazing and so were my guests.
A nice corner table, a c Ellen's service and food. Probably my favorite lobster ever, which I shared with my husband and it was still big enough. Prices seemed above average high~ but I guess it's that way everywhere. Time to get inflation down so we can all go out to eat like a princess's once in a blue moon!
Be the first to ReplyRecently went to the Orlando location on International
Recently went to the Orlando location on International drive on Easter Sunday 2024. Had a reservation at 7 pm for 2 people. Arrive 5 min late and we're sat immediately. Restaurant was not packed slow for a Sunday evening in a holiday. Was greeted by our waitress took our drink order as well as appetizers. We order the oysters. After receiving our appetizer 15 min after ordering we sat for an hour. We're never asked if we wanted another drink. Our waitresses came and provide a glass of champagne and apologized for the wait. We were never told they were behind or how much longer after another 30 minutes we requested a manager and our bill. Still had not received our food. Manager stated we could go and our meal would be taken care of. As I understood this was the right thing to do I was upset on Easter no dinner and no other restaurants around open. The manager came out and tried to justify our late meal plan for an hour and a half maybe more because we were 5 min late. Mind you I ordered a med steak and my mom ordered fish with mashed potato's. A meal that takes 20 min max if they are behind. I went to a 5* restaurant food the food and great experience and this was far from a great experience. If the manager would have left us alone and let us leave I would have not had a problem. But justifying my meal not coming for me being late less than 5 minutes is ridiculous and horrible customer service. I love the capital grill but would never recommend this location!

I have come to this Capitol Grille for the past ehhh 25 years for an annual trade show. I must say that the two times that I have been here this week have been quite disappointing. The service desperately needs to be addressed. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy
Be the first to ReplyThe place looks cozy and romantic.
We had an early reservation and we were seated right away. The place was like half full but by around 7pm there was no vacant table left. The food was amazing. I got the tenderloin with lobster tails. I asked our fabulous waiter Pablo if the tenderloin wouldn't be dry and he suggested medium rare. I wanted a medium so we met half way. It was perfect, soft tender and flavorful tenderloin and the lobster was perfect too. My husband ordered the ribeye but he got a medium well so it's a little tough but has a good flavor. Medium done would have been perfect. Overall we had a great time and we would definitely come back.
Be the first to ReplyAnthony took me to the Capital Grille for Valentine's Day
Anthony took me to the Capital Grille for Valentine's Day and it did not disappoint!! Everyone was so kind. I loved how the hosts all were wearing black and red for Valentine's Day! It added to the fun of the evening. We started with a shrimp cocktail and the dirty goose martini. (Not pictured) This was phenomenal! The shrimp was huge and the cocktail sauce was perfect!! The martini was perfectly prepared and the bleu cheese stuffed olives were *chef's kiss* For our entrees, I had our server's recommendation the double Cajun filet. This was PERFECT! I'm not sure if the Cajun spice caused the crust on the filet to be crisp or if that is the norm here, but it was phenomenal. The steak was cooked perfectly. Anthony had the Sea Bass and it was great as well! We also had the Lobster Mac & Cheese and the Spinach. Both sides were also great. Just when we thought we were absolutely full, our server convinced us we needed dessert. Usually, we aren't easily convinced but we agreed and went with his recommendation, the Crème Brûlée. This was fabulous and had us reminiscing of our honeymoon. Ultimately, I've learned everything is amazing here :-) Service, Ambiance, Food, and Drinks- you can't go wrong!
Be the first to ReplyMy partner and I have always wanted to experience Capital
My partner and I have always wanted to experience Capital Grille, and the ambiance was fantastic. The dimmed lights and soft classical music set a great vibe. Our server, Mony, did a great job explaining the menu and sharing interesting facts about the people on the wall portrait. Now, onto the food - the Bone-In Ribeye, cooked Pittsburgh style, lacked seasoning, mainly tasting like grill smoke. The Lobster Mac and Cheese, with breadcrumbs, was amazing but could've used more salt. The bourbon Manhattan was strong but enjoyable. Despite the high price, the overall food experience didn't match our expectations. Recommending it for a first-time visit, but be prepared. Hope this review helps!
Be the first to ReplyThe steak was ok, would like to have more flavor.
But it was cooked to perfection. The au gratin potatoes needed more flavor as well. Our server was very friendly, and knowledgable of the menu. It was our first time here and they made it worth our while. The inside was beautifully decorated in lobby area and very clean.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely incredible!! ASK FOR MARISSA.
..she was impeccable from start to finish....her knowledge, personality, and attentiveness was superb! The manager, Kyle....just wow...he led the way!!! Between his genuine expertise and her persona, my husband, grandfather, his wife, and I were given an amazing experience. It felt flawless. No special occasion, just a great time!!! Thank you Capital Grille. Thank you Marissa. Thank you Kyle. Wonderful establishment, wonderful people....will return.
Be the first to ReplyWe went here for our big NYE dinner and we could not have
We went here for our big NYE dinner and we could not have been more disappointed. The food was absolutely tasteless, both our steaks, the appetizers, sides, just absolutely blah. There were people dining in tshirts and shorts and it was NYE!- very disappointing. We will continue to go to Ruth Chris, Mortons, Flemings, Charleys... any of these have much better food, better atmosphere and are worth the money. Even Outback or Lone Star would be better than this was. We will never go to any Capital Grilles again. It is not at all what you expect and certainly not worth what you'll pay.
Be the first to ReplyFive well deserved stars.
I made a last minute reservation (I'm talking 15 minutes before arriving) to celebrate a birthday & we were thoughtfully accommodated. The ambiance, the service and the thoughtful manner in which we were taken care of was incredible. Every single item we ordered was delectable ( steak, lobster tails, lamb chops, lobster mac and the mashed potatoes). We ended with dessert a whipped style cheese cake which we technically added to the bill after closing but our server Justin went out of his way to prepare it him self even after the dessert team had already left. I can't wait to enjoy more of the menu on my next visit.
Be the first to ReplyFirst time in the Capital Grill.
Came here for the event. We weren't in a very big group. Place was pretty busy. Service was decent, not amazing. The only mocktail they offered me is a mojito. I specifically asked for not sweet one and received a super sweet one. She did exchanged it after I asked to change it to something not sweet. We had seafood platter, fried calamari and bread to start. Had fish (seared sea bass) for the main and tried basically every side possible. Meal was delicious. Really enjoyed it. People in our group ordered steak and everyone ordered medium. And all of them looked different. Very weird that place like that gave steak that is all differently cooked. One guy received well done instead of medium. Another lady had a tuna main dish (sesame seared) and looked different from other locations of Capital Grill. Had zero sesame on it. I didn't try it but definitely could tell it wasn't same as pictured. Also didn't have any sesame on it. Something was off that day, maybe because it was very busy. Overall I enjoyed my meal however I could tell that other people in the group had food that didn't look the same even though they ordered same dishes.

Have had many birthdays here and prior to today all excellent today our private room was so disorganized and when we contacted manager nothing was done. We started at 7pm and finished at 1020pm. Waste of time.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding from the moment you walk in the door.
The hostesses were warm and friendly as we didn't have a reservation but they were very helpful in getting us a table. Seafood towers were fresh and overly filled with excellent oysters, clams, shrimp and lobster. The bone in filet was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this location, all Capital Grill locations are excellent, however this location exceeds them all!
Be the first to ReplyYou can never go wrong with Capitol Grille no matter what
You can never go wrong with Capitol Grille no matter what state you're in. This is a signature restaurant that always delivers on quality and consistency. The steak is always cooked to perfection, and the mac and cheese is the best I've ever had - it's freshly cooked and so creamy and delicious. This place is amazing for date night or a celebratory dinner, and the service is top-notch. They even offer valet parking at this location, which is a nice touch. Overall, I highly recommend Capitol Grille for a special occasion or a night out with friends.

The capital grill is one of the best restaurants regardless of location. The one Filet Mignon is out of this world
Be the first to ReplyIt is tradition for us to celebrate New Year's Eve at this
It is tradition for us to celebrate New Year's Eve at this location for capital Grille. The service is second to none and the food is consistent. I can say that wholeheartedly as we've been coming for over 15 years. While our normal server wasn't on our server, Amy W. was exceptional and ensured that we were well taken care of.Our reservation was for 645, but we got there around 6 o'clock. We grabbed a drink at the bar which is already pretty packed and busy for the New Year's Eve holiday but we were able to snag a hightop and enjoy our drink before our table was ready. Even at 6:45 on New Year's Eve It was starting to get busy by the time we left at roughly 845. The place was incredibly packed. Highly highly highly recommend that you make reservations no matter what time of year it is to insure a minimal wait time.My husband ordered the bone is filet, which was on special. It was perfectly cooked to medium. I opted for the New York strip steak with a side of the Courvoisier cream. It is absolutely one of my favorites, and it was perfectly cooked at a medium, rare temp. It was like butter in my mouth. We did opt for bowls of the lobster bisque soup prior to dinner as it is our go to staple and our absolute favorite. We also had the crispy brussels sprouts to share at our table. The flavor was amazing although they were not as crispy as they have been but still delicious.

We popped into The Capital Grille to kill some time before a comedy show and had such a nice time. We were there about 45 minutes after they opened and the restaurant was not busy yet. We decided to sit at the bar because we planned to just grab a couple drinks. Our bartender was so friendly and engaging, chatting with us about our holiday plans and the show we were seeing later that night at the Improv. Major kudos to the entire staff who were all extremely helpful and attentive to us. We ordered the signature pineapple martinis -- the one that soaks in the large glass jar on the back of the bar. They're so delicious! A must try if you enjoy pineapple. Our bartender explained how they are made and we decided we'll just come to Capital Grille when we want them because cutting the pineapple takes a special technique. We learned they will validate your parking if you use the valet but not the Pointe Orlando garage, which was fine because Improv does discount garage parking. I can't wait to come back and enjoy dinner and drinks here-- it's the perfect spot for an upscale date night in town.
Be the first to ReplyJay and Courtney provided the absolute best service.
My wife and I were in town for our 15th anniversary and the combined ambiance and service was impeccable. They both provided great recommendations and were very knowledgeable on the menu and wines. Really can't recommend enough for any special occasion.

Decided to celebrate my 22nd birthday here with my boyfriend and it did not disappoint! They decorated the table with confetti and a birthday card! We ordered the tuna tartare and lobster bisquefor appetizers! For entrees I had ordered the seared tenderloin with lobster tails with a side of lobster Mac and cheese and my boyfriend had gotten the veal chop! our server marcel was amazing!! What a wonderful experience!!

Expensive it you expect that at a capital grill. Would go again to try the tomahawk veal chop.
