I love this place! I didn't even know they existed until last weekend. The drinks are great, but not enough alcohol in my opinion, and the food is tasty. We ordered the Duck Confit with brussels sprouts and the lobster salad. All were cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The restaurant is really loud, so prepare to speak up. I also enjoyed how they kept to the Mexican theme and made it seem as if you were there. We had a mix of three waiters throughout the night and all were super sweet. Its a great places for any occasion, with or without kids, but be mindful, youll be paying a pretty penny. Valet is available for 15$; there is also street parking and garages nearby (closest being Brighton; search David Yurman).

Located in the middle of Beverly Hills, The Hideaway is literally a hidden gem inside the shopping center. The restaurant is very cozy and cute. We were seated just next to the fireplace in the patio area, perfect seating ! We ordered the guacamole and fried cauliflower to share. They both were finger licking good. Since I'm not able to eat the sauce that normally comes with the cauliflower not the tortilla chips, I used the guacamole as the sauce for the cauliflower which I think was a great combination. I ordered the salmon which was cooked just the way I like. My friend ordered the carnitas, he said it was good but a bit dry. Our waiter was really sweet and friendly. I'm looking forward to coming back soon
Be the first to ReplyI had seen such hype over the Hideaway three course lunch
I had seen such hype over the Hideaway three course lunch and none of the courses were actually good. Empanadas and Deconstructed fish tacos were about average. The flautas were nothing close to authentic. The short rib enchiladas were made of a gooey meat mixture with an extra gooey oxacha cheese on top. It was an overwhelmingly soft baby food texture inside of a thick and undercooked blue corn tortilla. It's pretty hard to mess up a side of rice and beans, but sadly both were undercooked. For dessert, the only option that sounded good was the churros. The chocolate and berry sauces were decent but unfortunately every one of the mini churros were completely undercooked with gooey dough on the inside. The best thing was the homemade chips and bean dip. It was a Cute ambience in an unexpected location underneath a rodeo drive area strip mall. But unfortunately overall not good.

This places is amazing especially their affordable lunch special. The food is amazing and fills you up. The staff if some of the energetic and nice people ever. The ambiance is gorgeous and I can't wait to go back.

Tucked away. Hidden. Amazing chips and salsa were fresh and hella good. Chicken empanadas were ok.

My friends and I recently celebrated a bridal shower at Hideaway, a sprawling and captivating restaurant nestled in Beverly Hills. Our party of six was comfortably seated in the versatile outdoor/indoor patio area, which offered a seamless blend of al fresco and sheltered dining. Hideaway also boasts an indoor space characterized by its enchanting ambiance, soft lighting, and overall inviting atmosphere. The culinary experience at Hideaway was nothing short of spectacular. The staff, particularly our waiter, was exceedingly attentive, offering detailed explanations of the menu items and highlighting their signature dishes. Despite the restaurant's large size, the service felt personalized and respectful, enhancing our dining experience. Parking options include a structured parking area, though street parking is also a possibility for the lucky few. Our group mainly opted for drop-off, which conveniently allowed us to stroll through the Beverly Hills strip after our meal, adding a lovely touch to our overall experience. A standout dish for me was the Lobster Avocado Toast - an absolute delight and arguably the best version of this dish you'll find anywhere. It was beautifully topped with grapes of varying colors and sizes, adding a fresh and unexpected twist to the meal. Despite the restaurant's chic location and sophisticated menu, Hideaway is remarkably welcoming to families with children of all ages, making it a versatile choice for various occasions. The well-thought-out design ensures comfort for all guests, even on warmer days, making our celebration both enjoyable and memorable. In summary, Hideaway in Beverly Hills offers a unique blend of exquisite cuisine, impeccable service, and a warm, inclusive atmosphere. It's a gem that manages to cater to both special occasions and casual dining experiences with ease.
Be the first to ReplyThere's excellence to most everything I've tried here.
From the beans, to the salsa, to the guacamole, to the tortilla chips--you know you're at a good Mexican place that pays attention to detail when these staples get it right. There's a homemade, organic appeal, as if they were made with healthy ingredients but still very delicious and exceedingly premium. The cocktails are phenomenal with the right balance to taste great and make you feel a good amount of tipsy.
Be the first to ReplyThe hideaway is located in Beverly Hills off of Rodeo.
It definitely alludes to the name as it's tucked away in a shopping center but once you enter you feel like your in a garden oasis. The aesthetic is trendy. What really brought us here was the lunch menu. They have a three course for $32 and it is fantastic! You get your appetizer with your main course which can be a bit heavy but so good. I did the waygu Flautas with the fajitas. It was delicious. My hubby ordered the empanadas and the burger. I think the Flautas were more flavorful in my opinion but he really enjoyed the burger. We both ordered the churros as dessert and the dipping sauces were the perfect pairing. Service was 5/5 our server was attentive and funny. Very kind with great recommendations. The drinks are $18 and up. I loved the pinky margarita it was delicious but the guava margarita was a bit lackluster for myself. Overall, a cute little spot in la. I can see this also making a cute date night. Would love to come back and try dinner sometime! Cheers.
Be the first to ReplyEverything we had was amazing.
We were there for lunch and decided to just get several smaller dishes to share. We had the Gambas al Ajillo (shrimp), Alaskan King Crab Pequenitos and the Tuna Tartare. I would definitely recommend all three.

Service was fantastic, our meal was delicious, the chocolate cake was the best I've ever had, except for my recipe, but this was the best I've ever had outside my home. The ganache was incredible! Such a fun place to be!!!
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance is great surprisingly as it's on Rodeo.
The restaurant is hidden away and private. Getting a booth is great or outside patio for a more social setting. The filet mignon was amazing and unique. The hamachi appetizer was also very very good. I'd come back for those two dishes alone.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful space inside on of the medical plazas in BH.
It's a little tough to find - keep walking into the center and you'll see a little house in the bottom floor courtyard. There it is! Margaritas (Tommy's) are 5/5 Tuna tartare was amazing 5/5. Hint of wasabi is unique King crab appetizer is 5/5 too. Very fresh and light. Micheladas are great. Shrimp appetizer are also good. 4.5/5. Sauce is great. Service is lovely and very friendly. Great experience will come back soon!

TLDR: the best thing here was the free chips (they come with a half lemon, half lime, and flaky salt. Cute! They also had great crunch and flavor. I didn't even use the salsa) If you're a foodie or a person of color who is used to flavored food, you'll probably think the food is bland. Service is eh. Ambiance is the only reason it got 2 stars instead of 0. I won't be back. Went here the other night for my friends birthday dinner. I would honestly have been disappointed in it had the meals been $10 each. But for the price boy oh boy was it a disappointment. I got the 36hr brisket birria and it came with "tableside presentation".... Which was just the guy rolling the cart over and pouring the soup into the skillet lmfao. Like I promise I didn't need to see that. The beef did have a nice flavor, but it wasn't anything to be wowed over. My friend got the tuna tartare and she really didn't like it (she didn't like the wasabi flavor), I thought it was pretty good bc the crisps were flaky. Another friend agreed she'd had better tuna tartare. Same friend also got the sous vide chicken and yikes lol. It was good at the first bite but second bite I was over it. She poured the salsa from the chips on it bc she said it wasn't seasoned at all. Another friend got a salad she said was dry and cilantro lime rice which she liked (I tasted it and it gave regular chipotle lime rice). We all got different drinks and nobody particularly loved theirs. I got the post melon and it was tasty but I was tired of drinking it by halfway through. No free desserts for the bday but we got our friend the churros and when we asked if it came with ice cream they said no. Of course it doesn't lol what does this restaurant have!!? I will say the ambiance was great. The booths were very private and you could change the music volume in your booth to your liking and the "push for tequila" button DOES work lol. The service was pretty bad at first, we joked our server was a boy dad and didn't know how to connect with girls bc at the beginning he was odd and running away in the middle of our orders. Example: I asked him if he preferred the "post melon" or "kiwifruit" and he literally just shrugged. Maybe he knows the food is bad lmfao. But!! by the end he was having conversations with us so he warmed up.
Be the first to Replythe food was seriously bland.
If you are a foodie then do NOT waste your money. The ambiance, the service, and our KiwiCooler were spot on. The meal was soooooooooooo.... salty or extremely bland. The guac was only mashed avocado so we asked our very kind waiter for chopped red onions, cilantro, and diced tomatoes and we added the ingredients to the guac. it was so much better. We also ordered the Mexican street corn but its didn't come with enough mayo or cheese so we requested more and remade the corn (with an additional $5 charge for the cotija cheese of course). The Beef flautas were extremely salty. As if the top of the salt shaker came loose and over salted our meal. My favorite dish was the Baja fish tacos (daily because of the fresh flour tortilla ) the rose sorbet was good and the kiwi cooler was to die for. Everything else is over salted.

I absolutely love The Hideaway! I came here when it first opened last summer, and have been three times now. Service has been consistent and very pleasant each visit. Ambience is relaxing. The food is SO good! I've tried a few things on the menu, but I've narrowed it down to my favorite things being the tempura lobster and the Branzino. I love this place, because it could easily be a night out with friends, a birthday, a business meeting, a date... it really doesn't matter what the occasion is, you'll feel right at home here.

The Hideaway is an absolute gem that I stumbled upon during a night out. The fusion of Mexican and steakhouse cuisine is a true delight for the taste buds. From the moment you walk in, you're transported to a different world. The ambience is cozy and welcoming, with an eclectic mix of décor that adds to the charm. The menu is diverse, with options that cater to both meat-lovers and vegetarians. The standout dishes for me were the ribeye steak and the grilled octopus. The steak was cooked to perfection, with a juicy center and a crispy crust on the outside. The grilled octopus was tender and flavorful, with a delicious smoky taste that complemented the dish perfectly. The service was exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The cocktails were also a highlight, with creative mixes that perfectly complemented the food.Overall, I highly recommend The Hideaway for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable dining experience. It's a must-visit for anyone who appreciates good food and great atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance was great however food was bland.
I ordered the chicken and it was dry with no seasoning. The bell peppers were a bit raw and again, lacked seasoning. I would go back for the atmosphere and to try some drinks but not for the food.

I've been meaning to try this spot for a while because I've seen it all over social media, but safe to say I was really disappointed .... First impression, walking in, I was excited because the vibes were immaculate and the restaurant itself was beautiful. They start you off with chips and salsa (this is the best salsa I've ever had I was shook) and get your order. The drink were solid and at this point i was pretty happy. We got our orders in and then it all started going downhill. The "more tequila" button was broken and the server didn't bother to tell us until towards the end of our meal so we were just left wondering if our drinks were coming or not. It took FOREVER for our food to come. I swear we were waiting for almost an hour with no update and I could see that the table in front of us were also getting irritated. When the food came out .... Wow were we disappointed. The food came out on a lunch tray... for a restaurant in Beverly Hills at this price point, I would've expected a little more. I can tell they tried to attract more customers by offering a cheaper lunch menu course, but man that was just lazy. The meat that came with the meal was also over cooked and dry, which is really disappointing considering this is a steakhouse. Honestly I really wanted to like this spot because it was so cute, but don't know if I'll be back.

The restaurant is stylish you can either sit inside or outside. The courtyard pays homage to old school Baja style restaurants. The warm orange light emanates from the Lanterns on every surface providing a romantic atmosphere. The wrought iron tables are comfortable & circled around an outdoor fireplace. The warm stone, wood and flames adds a touch of elegance to an already intimate, dining experience. The food is amazing and well portioned out for you. For being Beverly Hills it isn't too pricey as the hideaway offers a $28.00 3 course brunch meal. The staff is very hospitable and nice. Would definitely be back :)
