The Ivy Soho Brasserie London Reviews from The Last Year
Gayfull
Excellent customer service Nusaybah she was so caring and friendly, very attentive and caring., we really enjoy our night here.
Totally recommended
The food was spectacular, the service was first class and the attention that Brayan gave us was excellent and first class. Thank you for the quality and attention. 100% recommended.
Exquisite food
Excellent place, excellent food, super good service from Brayan Vargas. The dessert was delicious and the place has a unique atmosphere. Totally recommended.
First Time in Soho London
Spectacular decoration, even the bathroom is beautiful, I loved the music, the delicious food and the dream desserts, the 10-star attention of Brayan Vargas.
Confidence restored
After visiting with friends last year and having an absolutely disastrous dining experience we decided to give The Ivy Soho a second chance and revisited yesterday for lunch. We are so glad that we did. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Our dining experience was exactly what you would expect of The Ivy as it was first class. Our confidence has now been restored and we look forward to dining there again.
Great lunch location
Great location for a pre theatre an enjoyable lunch with friends. The food was excellent, my Malaysian monkfish, prawn and coconut curry was packed full fish and flavour. The restaurant was busy, there were plenty of waiters who were attentive.
Sunday lunch
First visit to this Ivy Brasserie but we have visited a few others in south-east England. Excellent service and yummy food. Highly recommended.
Business Meeting
Disappointing experience…waited 10 minutes, before asking the waiter when walked past if we could order our drinks…surprising food came out very quickly, probably quicker than actually getting a drink which is crazy….I had fish and chips and unfortunately had a bad turn when got home! I have been on the toilet nonstop since! Would not recommend..
Food ok. Waiter absent minded
Group of 5 visited this restaurant. We had three courses. All the food was great. However the waiter missed items from the main course and desert. Simply ignored or didn't listen . When the dishes arrived without the items he apologised and we got them on the house. good service recovery. But it shouldn't happen. Was a bit over priced.
Pre Theatre Meal
We were part of a private function through work for a pre theatre meal. Everything went smoothly, food was delicious and the waiters friendly and attentive. Really nice setting, we had a room hidden up the back. Central location near lots of theatres and bars.
Very poor customer service with no one caring about the 1
Very poor customer service with no one caring about the 1 hour wait for table. Extremely slow and aphetic staff and management Will never go to this place again
The overall vibe of the restaurant is cute and fun inside!
The overall vibe of the restaurant is cute and fun inside! Disappointing service. Our server said they were unable to make any coffee during brunch service. They claimed the coffee maker was broken but after a while we saw other tables with coffee. Eventually we asked another server for coffee and we were served coffee. Wish the service was better but the food was overall good.
The decorations are lovely.
The food is nice. It's a good place for a light bite. I loved the decor in the restaurant as well as the washing closet , very fun scene.
This is the first time we've been to this restaurant I must
This is the first time we've been to this restaurant I must say it was a pleasant surprise. The food was very good. And the decorations were very inviting and colorful !!!I had the three course special that's good until 630. I had a delicious mushroom soup, followed by a salad with soy meat on it, which is vegetarian and a delicious brownie with ice cream. We also had the rump steak, three-course dinner and the chicken three-course dinner. We also had the fish and chips. Everything was delicious. The service was very good. The waitress was efficient, professional, and helpful. And if I'm going to the theater in this area again, I certainly will stop by and have dinner again.
DO NOT GO HERE.
The service is appalling. My husband and I visited because we heard the great reviews about the shepherd's pie - what a mistake. We were initially seated and it took a while for our order to be taken... I let that go because I work in hospitality myself and get that things can get busy. The waitress took our drinks and food order. Our food came.. the drinks never did. We were never checked on until it was time for the bill which included the drinks we were never served! We brought this to their attention and are yet to hear an apology. This is an overpriced, pretentious excuse for a restaurant. Please take your money and dine elsewhere.
Absolutely excellent service from Bella.
Food was delicious- I had the blackened cod in banana leaf and my wife had the Korean chicken, both were great. And the vibe is very cool, dim lighting and cool art. Also very accommodating of my dairy allergy.
Was visiting London with my husband for our 19th dating
Was visiting London with my husband for our 19th dating anniversary and happened upon this delightful bistro. We were so excited because of the reviews on Open Table and the photos. We arrive. The place is not particularly busy. But not nearly as festive or happy or welcoming as others described. The kids (probably 21) at the hostess counter were less than pleasant, very distracted and then proceeded to seat us in the darkest, gloomiest table in the place. Despite there being plenty of open tables, they refused to move us, even though according to Open Table, there were PLENTY of reservations available, and then literally sat walk-ins after us, who did NOT have reservations in the tables we asked to be moved to. (Yes, I was literally standing there when the couple walking in asked, "do you have any tables, we don't have a reservation." When we inquired we were simply told by the hostess that it was simply their policy. We waited about 20 minutes before a server or anyone came over to us with water or asking for a drink order or anything, and even then seemed very scattered and distracted, despite it being maybe 1/4 full. No one was in the weeds. We finally paid for the apps and beverages and left for a place a few doors down. Cannot describe the disappointment. Now we are heading back for my birthday in a few weeks and this is definitely one place we will be skipping, despite staying relatively close and planning to dine out a lot. We are one of those couples who spent their vacay time shopping and fine dining. But I do appreciate the fact that because of them we discovered an absolutely divine restaurant elsewhere.
Tasty shepherds pie.
Fish and chips were on the greasy side. Great cocktails. Fun ambience and vibes. Live DJ made up for an up beat experience. Meals take a while to be served. Prepare time or enjoy more cocktails while the staff is able to get your food

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
