My family and I went to the Lobster club for dinner and in short it was amazing. The food was so unique but soo delicious, there wagyu dishes especially. Of course we had to get a lobster dish which we ended up getting two orders of, the restaurant itself is so beautiful. As soon as you walk in you see a beautiful scenery. The service was good cant complain about anything they were able to accommodate for my moms birthday and bring out a cake which was very nice and there dessert selection is very unique as well! Overall I would definitely come back, this restaurant is definitely on the pricer side but it definitely worth it once you take that first bite!

This place was very nice inside as well as good customer service. the food was also very good but very much on the expensive side for example getting still and sparkling water was 10$ each so 20$ for water that no one informed us about. the wagyu skewers were my favorite the rest was also very good but not something i'd crave personally or need to have again. overall a good experience and i'd say go try it for yourself and see what you think .

I personally only liked the steak appetizer was amazing and I would come back for it. The service was as well incredible but the only thing I liked was the one steak appetizer.
Be the first to ReplyNot very good food unfortunately.
Friday night was also fairly empty and quiet. Service was bad until she was seeing what we were ordering.

First time here and it did not disappoint! I came with 8 co-workers/friends to celebrate a special occasion and it was the perfect spot to do just that. We all had the best experience due in LARGE part to our incredible server Sari. Sari did all the stuff you'd expect from a excellent server but she also had a personality, a killer sense of humor and was an absolute blast to spend our night with! We felt totally taken care of and appreciated her honesty with which dishes she recommended and which we could skip. She had our trust immediately. The interior of this place + the playlist really set it off and made the night extra special. I only eat fish so I enjoyed the crispy rice, fried rice, Shishito, peppers, and several other sides. Everything was perfect! Including all the different sauces they serve. Plenty here for a vegetarian or pescatarian! The meat eaters enjoyed kobe and those popular sliders. Drinks were on point and the rest of the supporting waitstaff and servers were lovely and so patient with us as we were a loud and somewhat high maintenance group :) Can't wait to come back!
Be the first to ReplyI went to this restaurant for the first time last week.
I will definitely go back. The decor is fantastic. The food is incredible and the service is top notch. We had a party of nine people and that volume of appetizers, sushi, various sides, dessert...did not slow down the service which was impressive!!
Be the first to ReplyI love this place for its lobster dumplings and wagyu
I love this place for its lobster dumplings and wagyu sando, but because it's so expensive I wanted to come back for a special occasion. Flash forward a year and my partner and I had just gotten engaged; we made that very clear when reserving and the host confirmed upon arrival. Unfortunately the service was abhorrently inattentive all night, let alone "special." We had to ask on multiple occasions for the waiter so we could order, and on multiple occasions if the somm could come by to help us with a wine order. (The somm was lovely when she did come by, for the record.) This was on a Tuesday night in torrential downpour so they weren't busy and there were multiple empty tables, but we still somehow felt overlooked. Needless to say there are many more great restaurants where you can spend $500 for good food that will make you feel infinitely more special, engagement or not.
Be the first to ReplyFood was ok.
... service was very good and the ambience was nice. Way too over- priced and the drinks were very small.
Be the first to ReplyVery average, extremely expensive food.
Felt like our server was trying to constantly trying to sell us on expensive items, although he kept making it a point to say that he wasn't trying to do that. We spent around $500 here, but the food and experience didn't feel that way. The quantity of food is small, but doesn't taste very high quality. The fried rice was very oily, and felt like something we could have easily made at home. The lobster dumplings were very typical to regular dumplings from Asian restaurants. The uni/toro handroll was very good, and I'm glad we got to try that (though you can get this at most sushi restaurants). Overall, this is unfortunately another place that was overhyped on tiktok and we overspent here when we would have enjoyed a meal under $50 more.
Be the first to ReplyProbably a bit closer to a 3.
5 but gotta give it to the staff. I found myself at Lobster Club due to a gift card and was a little bit underwhelmed honestly. The Wagyu Sando was awesome, easily the best bite of the night. The Wok Lobster was unfortunately giving general Tsos and not in a good way-- something as delicate as lobster absolutely hammer with a spicy sweet glaze was NOT what I was expecting, and wasn't indicated on the menu, pass next time. The crispy rice were okay, the salmon was just spicy, dense and lacking flavor, but the tuna was pretty good. Overall the crispy rice part feels gimmicky and not well executed. Wagyu shiitake rice was okay. Surf and Turf roll was awful, something about it was so gamey, and the lobster was obliterated with heat and tempura'd, again not a good fate for lobster in my opinion. The vibe and atmosphere were swanky and pretty sexy but I can't say I'll be back.
Be the first to ReplyFun place.
Great atmosphere and Motown music. Food good although not great. A number of unexpectedly spicy things that not all will like. Somewhat annoying waiter but the rest of the team was great, including our favorite, Wantipa. Expensive, extensive wine list. Good, pricey cocktails, including a great Expresso martini.
Be the first to ReplyEverything we got was incredible.
The whole ambiance was great, the food came out as soon as it was ready so we weren't having to wait long before feasting on the incredible goodness with every item. Here's what we got, what you should get, and what I'll be fantasizing about until I return:* lychee martini (if you like sweet cocktails)* wasabi lobster - perfect amount of wasabi* salmon ikura - melts in your mouth* strip steak - comes with SO MANY sauces it's absolute paradise* spicy cucumber salad - so refreshing and delicious* spicy shrimp fried rice - the shrimp is cut up so you get shrimp with every bite *drools** creamsicle shaved ice dessert - not gonna lie we had no idea what to expect. This this is HUGE so would be great for a group! Or if you want to get attention from the people around you lmaoIt was just two of us, so yes we were absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal. We got the steak, shrimp fried rice and some of the cucumber salad boxed up and they leave it for you at the front of the restaurant where coat check is which was great. They even bring you a ticket to the table so you're reminded to get it on the way out. I have a gluten allergy and they were accommodating as well! I would 10000% come back

Increasingly, a not-so-secret spot for after-work beverage in midtown, north of Helmsley. It's mostly private, and conducive to shop debrief, though some tourists seem to have found it in a guide book. Drinks: yes, food: yes as well. I've only had apps and always on point. The team is pro, no bs, and ready to get you in and out on time.

the decor was very nice and modern but the loud music ruined the ambiance. service was excellent, which was needed because the menu needed explaining. We were a party of 4 and ordered several dishes to share as recommended. Food and drinks were good but very overpriced,Dishes came out very quickly.
Be the first to ReplyTLDR: The Lobster Club is very much a "clubby restaurant"
TLDR: The Lobster Club is very much a "clubby restaurant" but the food is actually good. If I could summarize Lobster Club, it's basically a fancied up hibachi concept. Kind of. Not a place I'd frequent regularly but once in awhile, if I feel like burning money for a Benihana style meal - Lobster Club wouldn't be a bad idea. The sushi rolls are solid, the katsu sandwich is great, spicy shrimp fried rice and the shaved ice is awesome.I'm not sure how we ended up here but I remember wanting to not like this place. Brasserie was such a classic New York restaurant, when I heard about Lobster Club occupying the old space - I felt like it was going to be an overpriced Benihana. I still think it is very expensive but the food was good enough that I would come back.Tuna and Chilies. Very unique, I like the chopped chives, the marinated tuna, the chili and the puffed rice. Something like a deconstructed crispy rice.Wagyu Truffle Sando. Not quite as rich/fatty as Don Wagyu or Sakamai but still a very good version of it. It's a bit more beef-forward, not quite as greasy as other versions. I don't think it's true A5 but that's okay, I like American/Japanese wagyu personally - much easier on the palette. Solid.Wok Lobster. Basically a fully ginger/scallion lobster tail. You can get a twin lobster in a Chinese place for the same price but the tail probably wouldn't taste this good or be this big.Sushi Rolls. I'm not sure which ones we got. I think it was the Spicy Toro and the Lobster Surf and Turf. These are pricey ass rolls but they were tasty. We got one steak which came with the massive assortment of sauces. Decent but I could probably skip this. Personally I'd rather eat KBBQ for "Asian" beef.Spicy Shrimp Rice was good. The shaved ice was massive but it was very good.If we returned, I'd probably fill up on just a crap ton of appetizers.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Lobster Club in New York City for dinner during their 5 o'clock happy hour and was blown away by the atmosphere. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was transported to a chic and sophisticated world of fine food and cocktails. The decor of the restaurant is modern and elegant, with a sleek bar area and cozy lounge seating. The ambiance is perfect for a casual happy hour with friends or a more formal dinner date. The real standout of the Lobster Club is the food and service...hands down some of the best we've ever had. The cocktails were also top-notch, with expertly crafted flavors and ingredients.Overall, I would highly recommend the Lobster Club and have already to friends. The atmosphere is amazing and the food and drinks are truly top-notch. Five stars all around

Scallop was extremely salty and embarassing, guest didnt eat. Wagyu beef sandwich not impressive at all, sticky and not crisy. Guest didnt finish either. Horrible food. Service was very nice though. Very embarassing.

Service even better. Definitely recommend. Try the shrimp fried rice.
Be the first to ReplyGreat ambience, food & service.
I really liked the options on their menu & they are perfect for a single person, couple or group! The staff are really informative & helpful & guide you well through the dining experience.

My only complaint is that the final seating in the establishment is at 10 PM. This place truly is a social club and I believe should offer a membership to its top customers. My friends and I had a dinner party and had a very nice corner booth in the red room. We took a culinary ride that ended with all of us fully satisfied. The surf and turf sushi roll with lobster, the dry rub curry wings, the wasabi oysters, the fillet skewer, all were excellent to start it up. Unfortunately they were sold out of the Madagascar prawns. We ordered the porter house and asked for it to be prepared medium and unfortunately came out over temperature. Wagyu fried rice was delicious. The tomahawk was also excellent. Overall the ambience was great and the service was on point. I will be back to explore more items on the menu very soon.

Flavors that delight the palate and ambiance that tantalizes the brain. Draped in original classic art and designed by Peter Marino, the Lobster Club has a large beautiful modern bar, complimented by a lovely lounge area, always complimented with great music. I must say that this is truly one of New York City's gems. The Japanese style, Wagu Skirt (medium rare), was worth writing home about, compliments to the chef! The wine selection, immaculate and meticulously done. If you're a fan of Japanese whiskey, this is also your venue. From business casual, to smart, well dressed and chic, on the forefront of fashion and art the Lobster Club has it all. It's fun, yet very romantic. The soulful music had me at hello!
Be the first to ReplyInteresting staff.
... But other than that the food was good. The broccoli was delicious. Shrimp fried rice tasty but a oily. The service was perfect. The steak and lobster tasty and everything else decent, not bad. Other than the fact that the characters employed were a bit strange, 8/10. Would prob go back if back in town.

Classic spot that I believe shares a kitchen with the Grill and the Pool. Great food, but much more casual / potentially younger crowd. Food is great, and we ordered just about everything. My favorite items were the lobster wasabi appetizer, the octopus, the lobster dumplings, the steak, and the chicken. Also had most of the cocktails which were great as well. Great spot for a management or business dinners in midtown.
