The Pink House brings out the very best.
A great evening where the friends present were matched by Eric’s outstanding service and the meals we all enjoyed. The grouper and crab special was so unique made so by the delicious apricot glaze. The Vidalia onion, mushrooms and sweet potato ravioli was flavorful creamy. Eric did a wonderful job outlining the details of the menu as well as accurately describing the taste of each dish. To make sure everything was perfect the manager stopped by and not only asked if all was well but held a nice conversation that enhanced the overall experience. One recommendation is that when you make reservations as to be placed in a small room. That will add to the intimacy of the overall experience.

We had been here before and knew what to expect. Sort of. We had hoped to be seated in one of the quaint smaller rooms. Instead, we were seated in a huge ballroom type room. There were many tables and the room was way too loud. You could not carry on a conversation. They had no charged water (ran out). This was at 7:00 p.m. on a Monday. When one of the Five Managers, yes five - one for each area of the restaurant, stopped at our table, we advised him of the situation. The pork tendeloin was way too salty. The stuffed grouper (special) was excellent (as it should be for $52). The wait time for both taking our order and meal delivery were a bit longer than you would hope for. If we come again (doubtful), we will have to make a reservation for one of the smaller rooms.

The ambience is amazing, the food and service is excellent and the house is so beautiful and historic. It is pricey, but for a memorable experience, the Olde Pink House is a can’t miss.

Delicious • Inviting • Historic My sister and I visited this restaurant for lunch during a visit to Savannah. Our waitress was full of energy and extremely knowledgeable to share of all the building’s history. I had the crab cakes, with fried green tomatoes and collard greens. I could have ate that all day. It was my favorite meal the entire time I was in Savannah. The pink lemonade was an added bonus by far. My sister devoured the fried shrimp and I cannot blame her, it looked amazing. The biggest highlight was them allowing us to venture and tour the building. We went downstairs where there is a lot of ghostly stories and history. It was overall an incredible experience and I highly recommend this on any trip to Savannah.

Average food, our server was good… enjoyable meal. Loud room and the tavern downstairs was freezing. Drinks were ok but service lacking.

My husband and I where at the pink house at the end of February. We had a good meal, wine and very nice atmosphere. The standout for us was our waiter Brandon. He was engaging and made some helpful suggestions. The restaurant would be smart to hang on to him.

I'm usually a bit reluctant to go to "touristy" restaurants, but this was quintessential Savannah, through and through. Loved the ambiance and vibe. Food was delicious (though the menu signature cocktails offered were not). The service was excellent. Would highly recommend for a true low country food experience. Reservations well in advance (weeks if not months) are a must.

Atmosphere is great. We were served promptly. The appetizers are great. The food is on point. The servers are efficient and good. There was a lady that came around and serenaded our room which made the night.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service and vibe.
Showed up without a reservation knowing it might be tight but they found us two seats at the bar in the tavern downstairs. Ordered a cocktail based on the bartenders suggestion. Had a gin cocktail similar to a French 75 and my husband had the sweet lemonade cocktail but it was just ok. We are not used to such huge portions or as much friend found as they do in the south so shared the fried tomatoes and the pork chop that server recommended. For fried food it was done well. Came with collard greens which were fine. Macaroni was good. I felt like a Karen asking for the bread 3 times before I actually got it because I heard it was good. Note I tipped over 25% because she finally brought it to me. I think you really go here for the atmosphere, live music and general vibe plus the bourbon to end your evening. Really nice vibe downstairs and sitting at the bar was terrific. Pecan pie was superb!! That was the highlight.

The old pink house has been on our list of restaurants to try for a few years. Perhaps with places that have such rave reviews sometimes things could be a little disappointing because you have such high hopes. My daughter got married in Savannah in February. We came a few days early from South Carolina and had made a reservation several weeks before. We were seated over 30 minutes late for our reservation as the people before us paid but were not leaving. I truly feel that in a situation such as this, there is a way to politely tell people that there is a party waiting for your table. Once we were seated, service was extremely polite, apologetic, and two appetizers were sent to our table. We were served fried green tomatoes and stuffed artichoke hearts. We all placed our drink orders. One of our party ordered a Heineken and it took a little bit of back-and-forth as it was a Heineken zero but they had no idea . The fried green tomatoes were very tasty, but the artichoke hearts were a bit bland. The server, while very informative and extremely polite, told us twice that we were getting biscuits and we had to finally ask for them. We got a history of the house, which we enjoyed. Our party had the crispy flounder, grilled chicken, salmon, pot pie, pork chop, shrimp and scallops with fettuccine, and pork tenderloin. Everyone enjoyed their entrée. We were pretty full at this point, but one of our party was celebrating a birthday so we did order one dessert which arrived with a candle and everyone tasted and thought it was delicious. Personally, I do think it is worth coming here as it is a beautiful house and the service staff was extremely professional and polite. There are just a couple of tweaks that could really put this place over the top.

We went for our daughter's birthday. All the staff were very friendly. The food was good with the exception of the mac and cheese. Beautiful dining rooms and loved the little courtyard.

We went for our anniversary dinner. Had an early reservation. She said they just ran out of chicken pot pie but after I had ordered it. Not much to choose from on the menu for a main dish. Food was sub par for what we paid & usually when you make a reservation for your anniversary you get offered a free dessert or champagne. They didn’t offer anything. We will not be going back. Sad because it’s such a cool place but not worth the money you spend. Very disappointing food

We were excited to get a reservation to Olde Pink House Restaurant but from the moment we arrived we were not impressed. They herd folks waiting for a table into a dark hallway while staff rushes by with trays. Our server was less than enthusiastic and it took 26 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The food looked better on the menu than on the table with the exception of the dessert. There are lots of fine restaurants in Savannah but Olde Pink House is no longer one of them in my view.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful surroundings, good food and good service.
Beautiful home to have a nice white tablecloth dinner. Our waitress was very nice and efficient and the food was very good.

We visited the Olde Pink House while visiting on a Girls' Trip. The house is gorgeous and we loved exploring. The service was good and the food was mediocre.
Be the first to ReplyCool experience, make reservation.
Make a reservation weeks in advance or get there at 4:30. We arrived at 4pm and had drink at main bar to then wait in line for a table. We sat in tavern which felt like an old speakeasy. Bartender’s were awesome. Salad, burger, bacon mashed potatoes all good. Chocolate peanut butter mousse bomb amazing!

This is a really cool spot - especially the downstairs bar. We stopped in for a drink and had some appetizers. Based on the appetizers, I would definitely be excited to eat dinner there. I am giving it only 4/5 though because, as I have seen others mention, they are a bit rude when you try to drop in. There were a couple of seats available but the host tried to keep us from coming in. He said they were full. I pushed a bit and he eventually let us come and sit down. Annoying and they obviously were not full if there were seats open and no one standing.
Be the first to ReplyExceeded my high expectations
After all the amazing things I had heard/read/listened to (Savanna, Georgia - Anything but Ordinary podcast) about this restaurant, I was afraid it wouldn’t live up to my expectations. It actually exceeded them. What a wonderful place. Kelly was training Joshua as a server and my friend and I loved both of them. They are knowledgeable about the history of the house as well as the food they serve. We were able to get a lunch reservation and were sad not to see the flounder on the lunch menu but luckily, it was a special that day. I had never had flounder before so I had nothing to compare it to but it was amazing! We stayed for almost 2 hours and never felt rushed. What a very special place. Thank you for a delightful afternoon.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing history and food!
Where do I start! Amazing food and history, as well as impeccable service. The concierge at my hotel made me a reservation two weeks in advance. I discovered while I was there that they suggest you come between 4 to 5 PM to put your name in for the main house, bar or the tavern in the basement if you don’t have reservations. Next time I will definitely go to the tavern because it reminds me of a speakeasy or a pirate’s cave! You’re allowed to walk around and visit all areas of the house while you were there. We ate in the ballroom which was beautiful. All of our food was amazing but the top highlights were they were biscuits and the peanut butter mousse bomb. They’re well-known for their hamburgers, and my son said it was incredible! This will be a meal that my family will remember forever and we will constantly compare it to other restaurants on our travels!
Be the first to ReplyTavern bar has very rude staff!
Almost every bar you go to is first come first serve and this bar decided to do reservations only at the actual bar. I walked in after a long day of working and was told to speak to the hostess. There were many empty seats and I simply wanted to sit down have a glass of wine and literally got scolded! Make your bar first come first serve like every other bar in town so people can get a drink… they are capitalizing on people have dinner at the bar and that’s just wrong, that’s what the restaurant upstairs is for.
