Dinner at sunset
Wonderful meal to end trip in Seattle. The view at sunset is beautiful and aesthetic of the environment sets a great mood. Our starters included the arancini, fries, prosciutto and burrata with toasted ciabatta bread. The mains were rigatoni meatballs, linguine with baby clams, and the special of the night - salmon. The lemon tart at the end was delicious. We didn’t get our servers name but she was very attentive. Overall, 10/10 recommend this restaurant.

Beautiful restaurant with good ambiance. The prices were reasonable and the service was top notch!!! The dishes were served on time! and for a few courses. Overall the restaurant stands out for its area.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding and memorable
This eatery has a well deserved good reputation for both the quality of good and service and its quirkyness. There are no signs outside the place - instead, you have to look for the unmarked pink door down an an alley. And to complicate things, the door isn't really pink - it's more of a salmon color. You do need a reservation and I understand there is a limit on how far in advance you can book. We were there for the rehearsal luncheon for our son's wedding, but we ordered from the regular menu. Be advised that this is not a cheap restaurant, but the food is outstanding. The menu is italian/mediterranean and ranges from ordinary spaghetti Bolognese to not exotic dishes. Our entire party were all pleased, but I have to save that the 'bronzini-style' white fish was fabulous. Service is professional and competent.

Yes, experience, not just dinner. We stumbled upon this gem and immediately got seating at 5 pm on a Tuesday. How lucky were we?! Eric was our server and just amazing - attentive and discussed the menu in detail because there were so many tantalizing choices. The food was phenomenal - well flavored and huge portions. Ambiance was romantic. Overall, just a wonderful experience. Definitely a must do on a trip to Seattle!

Great service and awesome food. A little hard to find it is literally a pink door down an alley with no signs. If you can get in it is worth it.

This place is incredible in every single way. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients and preparation is incredible. This is a must visit place if you are in the area. I think they open reservations one month at a time. Getting a reservation is the toughest thing about this place.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent lunch
Just been for a delicious lunch!! Best food we have had in the USA since arriving 10 days ago! Restaurant is gorgeous with views of the water. Antipasti of the housecwas perfect with a half portion being big enough for 2. Dh had scallops and salad which were cooked to perfection and I had the papardelle ragu which was super delicious! Service was amazing with a lovely waiter and the pale ale was delicious and cold. Well worth the $117 ( Inc tax)

“If you see me walking down the street…walk on by. Walk on by.” Dionne Warwick After years of listening to @daphae11 implore us to try “The Pink Door”, we literally nearly “walk(ed) on by” it when we finally decided to visit during this trip to Seattle. As you can see from our picture, they aren’t much into exterior signage. I guess you’re either on a direct path here or you’re just gonna “walk on by” it. We’ve walked Post Alley many times before and I’m sure each of those times we thought nothing about that pink door on our way past it. There are at least two reasons why we concluded that they take the preparation of their Italian-American dishes pretty seriously. First, the Arancini, Rigatoni and Meatballs, and Linguine Vongole were each worth the time we spent in search of this elusive and mysterious pink door. Second, anyone notice the statement featured on their menu just below the Tuscan Fries & Fried Herbs? And I quote, “No, we do not have ketchup.” 🤣 The wood floors, and the stairs descending down into the restaurant from Post Alley up above, hinted that dimming the lights and adjusting the decor could transform the vibe here into one projecting a small, exclusive jazz club feel. Reservations are highly recommended, but we found their online waitlist very effective at getting us a table with minimal delay. And that’s…Henry’s Take. #pinkdoortreasures #pinkdoorseattle #postalleyrestsurants

Absolutely delicious. Wonderful atmosphere and worth the wait for the reservation. The fresh pasta was incredible. The meatballs with just a slight hint of fennel were very good. The cauliflower “pate” was scrumptious. Highly recommend

Valentine's Day at the Pink Door might be the only place that would be worth staying up till midnight 30 days ealier to make a reservation. Really. Ambience, a delightful and personable server, wonderful menu and picture perfect food.Served piping hot on piping hot plate. I haven't been there in 25 years. Not going to make that mistake again.

We loved the fish specials and just about all the dishes served. In addition, all the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. We will definitely come back.

Amazing service. Incredible food. Beautiful view. Get your reservations early! This place is a must visit. Best place time to go if you don’t have reservations is 11:30 am for lunch.

Be the first to ReplyA bit pricey but still recommend
So you will walk down an alleyway to get there, and there is no sign, just a pink door. Atmosphere is very nice, it is right next to pikes so great place to stop at if u r shopping there. Is a bit pricey and some of the dishes are on the smaller side but our waitress did a great job of letting us know what was on the lighter side. Fabulous drinks. Would definitely go back

Eating here feels like being in a secret club. From the minute you open the door and see the stunning lounge, to the walk to the back dining room that is breathtaking. You will want to try everything on the menu. We enjoyed the arancini, the bitter greens salad, the gnocchi and the tortellini. We found their prices to be quite reasonable for the experience, including the wine list.
Be the first to ReplyThis is the real deal
This place is the real deal: Authentic Italian food that isn't layered in grease. If you're used to takeout places, the higher prices and smaller portions might come as a surprise. But trust me, the quality is incredible and you will savor every bite! i have been coming with my wife for years and we've tried just about everything on the menu. There aren't many dishes we didn't enjoy.
Be the first to ReplyExpensive but worth the cost
This is a high end Italian restaurant with a small but good selection of seafood. It is down an alley and there is no sign just a pink door. Service was excellent as was the catch of the day.

I came here for dinner with colleagues after being in meetings all day, and this was the perfect way to end the day. The restaurant is imbued in a soft pink ambiance that adds to the refined atmosphere, and the staff are impeccable and friendly. The restaurant is much bigger on the inside than it would appear from the outside, giving this place a cozy, intimate feeling. There's outdoor seating when it's warm enough for it. The food is fresh and locally sourced, and so delicious that we were all stuffed and groaning by the end of the meal. We ended up sharing a bunch of dishes because we all wanted to try everything. I really liked the roasted pumpkin ravioli, the arancini, and the ahi tuna crudo. Portions were surprisingly big for an upper-scale restaurant, and the prices weren't too bad.

I'm still not sure how we found this place, but we are so glad that we did. We got the last table available, and actually were considering not staying because most places that busy end up with poor service and rushed food. We are so glad that we stayed. Every single thing about our meal and service and experience as a whole was perfect. We ordered too much food but ate every last bite! The arancini appetizer was so delicious. My husband had the branzino for his main, and I had the lasagna. It was so rich and creamy. The wine list is extensive. We went with Chianti to accompany everything and ate and drank to our heart's delight. I can't say enough about the service. Personal. Friendly. Knowlegable. Perfect timing. This was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had.

This restaurant which hard to find due to no sign and no pink door to identify it from the outside was reviewed to be great. We walked in without reservations because they were booked and waited for a table. The vibe in the beginning part of the restaurant was cool with a live band playing. We were seated in the very back which you dont realize how big this place is when you first walk in until you go through the whole place. In the back is a completely different vibe, no music and different decor. Overall the food was good but nothing special. The apps were better than the entrees but to say we walked out of there WOWed, I cant. If you like live bands then definitely try to sit in the main room.

Staff from reception to server very courteous and professional. Smile.
We were able to eat outside on a perfect evening.
The food was fantastic and allowed my granddaughter to try a new fish dish. I had a taste and I must say it was excellent.
We shared two deserts and I must say they were delectable.
Thanks
I highly recommend.
Worth the challenge 😊
Finding the restaurant was a little challenge because there is no large sign and the pink door was open so we couldn’t see it from the street.😊
The food and staff were amazing! I would definitely go back!
Eat here!
No signage -- just look for the pink door! It's located on Post Alley. All I can say is WOW!!! Stunningly beautiful restaurant -- we walked in and saw a small eating area as well as the bar but went to the back of the restaurant where the dining room featured large windows with a beautiful view. The restaurant reminds me of old glamour. We had lasagna and pappardelle bolognese. It had to be home made! We followed up with tiramisu which after that lunch I knew was going to be something else and boy was it! Service was top notch and the ambiance was exquisite along with the best music playing in the background. We will definitely return on our next visit to Seattle. I wish we could have see the trapeze show but we weren't there on the right day. Word of advice....make a reservation especially for dinner.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect vacation night out!
The reviews were right, the Pink Door was great. Our reservation was honored promptly, and with the type of table requested. The servers were friendly and attentive without being overbearing and the food was great. We started with the Ceaser and Everything Green salads, both of which provided an indication of the care taken by this kitchen; either could have been quite ordinary but both had special touches that earn the fifth star. Our mains of lasagne and cioppino did not disappoint. The lasagne was finished with an infused oil .. basil I think… giving meaning to the expression of elevating a classic dish.
There are a ton of tourist traps in this area, but this clearly is not one of them. It was a special and relaxed night out while touring Settle.
