Cute little spot with pretty pressed tin ceilings.
Nice staff, got a bit loud and had to speak up a lot for conversation, and cozy.5/5. Ceviche. Refreshing and larger slices of fish.4/5. Tuna tartar. Granted, T's assessment was flipped and preferred the time over the ceviche.4/5. Garlic fries were excellent. One star knocked off for garlic element. Could use more after having gotten used to Northern CA garlic fries.3/5. Steak. Just didn't hit the spot for us. Got it medium rare. 4/5. Burrata was on top of a salty spicy (mildly) collard greens situation, which I thoroughly enjoyed. T want as big a fan of the greens, which left the cheese feeling a bit bland. Probably the biggest division in opinion.
Be the first to ReplyNot sure there is a cooler restaurant building in the city.
It feels like you're dining in someones private brownstone with fabulous food and drinks. I recommend getting there early to grab a cocktail upstairs.
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance is great.
The dirty martini with truffle olives is an absolutely must. The food is good. Will be returning.
Be the first to ReplyI haven't tried the food & came for a nightcap.
Ideally rating 4.5.Had an espresso martini based on an online recommendation. Superrr cute spot & good espresso martini. Looks like a great date spot. Enjoy!

This spot is amazing for a night out with some friends or date night. The dim restaurant is cool yet inviting and we were sent to the bar upstairs while our table was getting ready. The drinks were delicious. When it comes to food we ordered:-Burrata: delicious, creamy, flavors were great and paired nicely with the fluffy fried bread.-Ceviche: good quality fish, citrusy notes. I can drink the sauce. Great dish.-Meatballs: again, sauce was great. Meatballs felt a little flavorless. But you can't go wrong with meat, sauce, and cheese.

Ummm tiny food portions like the name suggests and they wouldn't initially seat us as a party of 3 with 2 people there and an empty restaurant on a Wednesday night. Seriously eat before you go. Will find another spot nearby next time.
Be the first to ReplyReally not good food for these prices.
Place smelled like it had just been institutionally mopped when we arrived.
Be the first to ReplyThis place was sub par for the prices on the menu.
Wouldn't recommend. Also felt like they were kicking us out after literally sitting there for 30 minutes ( no joke because we came the moment it opened) on a group of four people!! I was still eating at the 20 minute mark and the check came... real professional.
Be the first to ReplyA little pricey for mediocre food.
Tried the superfood pancake. Not exactly what I expected and a little dry. The service is prompt and the ambience is nice but don't think it's worth it to try. The appeal of going was maybe overwhelming the pink exterior.
Be the first to ReplyI'm surprised this place has a 4 star rating.
The best thing about this place is the vibe. It's very cute, quiet, and intimate. The food? Not good. And expensive. Ordered tater tots as a starter and it had like 8 tiny potato cubes, for $14?! What a waste of money. We also had to ask for coffee refills and simple things like ketchup, salt, etc etc so while our waiter was nice the service wasn't amazing. I also suggest sitting upstairs if you want the best vibe. We got seated downstairs which isn't as cute so I was a little bummed about that cause when I booked well in advance, like a week or 2 ahead of time, I also said I was there for a special occasion so, that was a little disappointing. I'd give it 2 stars but the vibe makes it 3.
Be the first to ReplyHonestly food is lacking its very average.
Portion sizes are soo small for the price. My boyfriend went home and made a bowl of pasta since he was still hungry even after spending $140 there on food between us. Atmosphere is cute, would definitely stop in for a drink but save your money and dont get dinner here. Got the shrimp app it was just battered and fried shrimp no flavor. The burger was average and shrimp fried rice was tiny portion for a dinner meal. Wouldnt go back here. Only thing that saved them was their cute and cozy atmosphere

This restaurant has a a really cool antique/old NY vibe upstairs. I really love the ambience. The food is excellent, although both the food & drinks were more expensive than expected. The cocktails are $19 and taste great but are not very strong. A burger is $30. The service is excellent.I will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot for a date or girls night.

While the meal was great and the ambiance was wonderful, my credit card numbers were stolen by the staff at the restaurant and used later at an establishment in the city. I was visiting for the day and this was the only time it was used while in NYC. I called and expressed this to the staff. I was told it would be taken seriously by the staff. The manager called me back and could not have been more rude. He denied any culpability by his staff and did not offer any goodwill for what had occurred. This is entirely unprofessional. I will never recommend this restaurant after such a response from the manager.
Be the first to ReplyI just had a quick drink here, but experience was terrible.
I was charged more for a drink than shown in the QR menu because it was out-of-date and that she (the bartender) will tell "them" to update it later. The bartender turned around and got back to her business. I'm sorry, but the world doesn't work that way. I don't go to the grocery store and expect to be surprised when I pay at the register. It wasn't that much more, but based on principle I found that to be pretty pathetic. Left two stars because the upstairs was charming and because I didn't have an opinion on the food menu, which could be good (or bad).
Be the first to ReplyWe had a wonderful family reunion brunch at Tiny's.
Cousins, I had not seen for decades, came into the city for our visit. I needed to find something simple, with an easy menu, nothing too precious. I'm the most pretentious individual in our extended family, and I am well aware of my dilettante tendency. Tiny's was/is perfect for everyone, short or tall.I began at the bar upstairs, served by Carlos, who started my day out right, making me his version of a Harvey Wallbanger.Carlos was very welcoming and aided in relieving my nerves. Brunch was served downstairs, Diana was very charming, helping to find a table that would fit our needs. She was well organized, efficient, and fun. Jenna was our friendly and warm server, and gave us great advice. Matzoh Ball soup and the Chicken and Waffles were our favorites, but the hamburgers were wonderful too. It was a perfect meal and a wonderful reunion. Tiny's helped us renew a family connection after decades of absence. I will always be indebted to Tiny's and the Bar Upstairs and Carlos, Diana, and Jenna. Thank you.
Be the first to ReplyTiny's is a Tribeca institution.
I don't actually know how long they've been around but I've been coming here ever since I first moved to New York 8 years ago and I've come to associate Tiny's with Tribeca - and not the glamorous, celebrity-filled version of Tribeca but the type of quiet and understated cool Tribeca. The food here is what I'd call classic American with fancy flourishes - for example, there's a burger on the menu but the patty is dry aged beef (read: expensive); for brunch, you can get an egg sandwich, an NYC classic, but it's served with arugula pesto and on ciabatta so you know it isn't your typical diner BEC. The food is generally and consistently good, though sometimes there are misses. On a recent visit for brunch, I was a bit disappointed by the "superfood pancake" - poached eggs were cooked perfectly, but the pancake was incredibly heavy (texture was akin to a dense cake) with what seemed to be an overabundance of beets and turnips and not enough of the lighter vegetables described on the menu. Drinks here also don't disappoint. I'm partial to the cocktails but they have a decent and not-too-long wine list with selections that'll work well for large groups. True to its name, the space is tiny but I like to think of it more as cozy and for that reason, I love coming here in the winter because the tight space, combined with the rustic wood decor, manages to make me feel warmer than most other restaurants. For those that are more wary of small spaces given COVID, they do have a modest outdoor dining space that looks to be heated.

great date spot - come early to grab a seat upstairs by the bar. the bar area only sits around 7 at a time so it truly is tiny!
Be the first to ReplyIf they are not busy, the place is nice.
If they are busy, though, they are literally too "tiny" to accommodate. I got seated nearly an hour after my reservation time, and it too nearly 30 minutes more for my order to be taken. While I was waiting, I was given a free drink, which in retrospect I wish I never took. The manager, who was clearly insecure about here inability to manage her restaurant, began bringing food out to me (taking over for the server), and was weirdly aggressive about the drink all night. "I know it is late, but that is why you got a free drink." When the table next to me got their burrata before my meatballs, despite having a reservation an hour after mine, she lectured me on the prep time differences, which was clearly not the point. It was the opposite of hospitality -- it was almost like she was blaming the guests for her failures. The bottomline is that for a quiet afternoon, great lunch spot. If you see that most if the reservations are full, and you walk in to see a tall woman in her late 30s/40s managing the place, just cut you loses and find another place. The night will only get worse.

neat building, but very disappointing food and meh experience. visited for Valentine's Day which included a pre fixe menu with a wine pairing for $125/pp. to start, we had oysters with caviar (1 each) which was briny and funny that it was literally one for each of us. next, I had caviar and blinis paired with a nice champagne. for my main, I had the most bland pappardelle pasta (supposedly with mushrooms but there were 2) which wasn't seasoned and needed some sauce. it was barely edible. a woman next to me also had to send back her striped bass, which considering there's only 8 of us in the back, gives you a sense for the sample size of how much of an L the food here is.
Be the first to ReplyWalked in for a Saturday brunch and was not disappointed.
When we first entered, we were notified that the restaurant was fully booked for the next 2 hours so we elected to sit at the bar instead. The bar is located on the second level with very limited seating. It was first come first serve, so we were lucky to snatch a spot. My friend and I ordered the steak and eggs as well as the hungover rancheros and we enjoyed the meal. The presentation was amazing and the food tasted good. My only complaint would be that we waited a good 30 minutes for the food. My recommendation is to book this place in advance to secure seating. This place is really busy, especially during brunch times on the weekends.
Be the first to ReplyLoved this spot and the vibe.
Very cute and cozy, we were in the back room and there was a fire going, which was perfect for a cold December evening. My friend ordered a burger and asked for it well done, and it came out rare, which was disappointing but she still ate it! The fries were great, the tater tots were good (but not like traditional tater tots, so keep that in mind. They weren't hash brown-y, more cakey like, if that makes sense?). Overall a very cute spot, I'd come back for drinks and maybe try a few different things on the menu!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing drinks, beautiful decor and environment- great food.
Very casual, yet elegant and unique.
Be the first to ReplyCame in for a nice pre Christmas dinner.
There were maybe 6 of us total in the adorable restaurant and yet after taking our order we never saw a server again. We had planned to stay and enjoy several cocktails but finally just gave our bartender our credit card and left. Gorgeous atmosphere, delicious food, service like a Chipotle. This was not a Covid understaffing issue, this was just poor service.

Loved Tiny's!! We arrived about 12 minutes early for a noon reservation and waited in The Bar Upstairs for about 7 minutes until the hostess said our table was ready downstairs. Honestly not a bad wait at all and the bar is cozy and cute. We got the superfood pancake, French toast and burger. THEIR FRIES ARE INSANELY GOOD. Super thin. I could have eaten just the garlic fries and walked away happy. The French toast was the perfect amount of everything - glad it wasn't drenched in Nutella. It was just a thin layer between the bread, and the berry compote was delicious. The superfood pancake was huge!! We shared it. (Got it without the poached eggs.) Savory and filling, we left feeling full but not stuffed. One star off because they don't accept cash... well... they do? But they won't be able to give you change if you need it. Can't wait to come back and try the dinner menu!
