I confirm the sensation and memory of a few years ago. The place undoubtedly deserves to be visited. We had lunch on the mezzanine floor, on the turret, with a view of the sea and facing Vesuvius. The menu leaves no room for anything except pure enjoyment. I personally was thrilled with grandma's soup. Dish with flavors to preserve over time. Then, last but not least, the great Gennarino, a humble and courteous person who received us and greeted us at the welcome and at the end of the emotional journey he gave us. I hope and hope to be able to return.

Excellent Cooking, Atmosphere and Service
The service at this restaurant is exceptional. Upon arrival, you enter through an ancient tower for drinks, setting a unique and enchanting tone for the evening. The food is outstanding, from the primo piatti to the lamb and seafood dishes. While one or two dishes might be overly subtle in flavor, the overall quality is impressive, with seafood featuring prominently in almost every dish. The desserts are delightful, and the meal concludes with an overwhelming variety of sweets. The highlight is a selection of large chocolate chunks, wheeled to your table and cut into smaller pieces for you to enjoy. The restaurant itself is stunning, especially at sunset, adding to the overall memorable experience.
OMG! What an amazing experience!
This restaurant was incredible, beyond words. Went with friends and we all loved it! Chef Gennaro Esposito came out and welcomed us. We had 13 courses and we ate it all! We even had room for dessert. One of them was the panettoni, made with brandy, chocolate and coffee. Mind blown! After the wine cellar tour, Chef Esposito invited us into the kitchen. Food and staff were fantastic. What an experience!!! Loved it!

All great with a few buts..
Fabulous seafront location, an ancient watchtower where modern and ancient blend perfectly. As soon as you arrive you are seated right in the turret for an aperitif, which is not offered, so perhaps it would be better to ask customers if you want to start directly or if they would like to have an aperitif first. The food is excellent, even if compared to other starred restaurants it didn't really meet my tastes, too many courses where the vegetable component is predominant, 3 vegetable starters seemed excessive to me and also two first courses always extremely focused on vegetables and not much on fish.. I was perhaps expecting a cuisine more focused on fish and local flavours, if I went back I would consider the à la carte menu because the 8-course tasting menu is based on the chef's imagination and therefore riskier. From a two star hotel I expected more in terms of refinement of the raw materials and flavour, I don't give 5 stars for this reason. Chef Gennaro was not at the facility but his staff was fantastic, kind and helpful, making you feel at home in a less formal environment. High prices as you can expect from a two-star hotel where a very large team works. The free gift at the exit and the parking service were very welcome.

I had already been to this restaurant many years ago, Chef Gennaro Esposito was already a phenomenon, but he didn't have the two stars like today. It has changed a lot, but among the many starred restaurants we have tried, here you can breathe a different atmosphere, and I'm not talking about that of the nearby sea. Exceptional place, culinary journey that is a truly unique experience, but the thing that amazed me most of all, is the simplicity and humility of the Chef. Congratulations to all the staff.
A perfect combination
The location is very beautiful, but the real strong point is the perfect balance between the service and the dishes. The uniquely professional maitre made us feel in a welcoming and at the same time relaxing environment, the tasting journey was truly spectacular but my attention was directed above all to the chef's "historic" dish, mixed pasta with seafood broth, a unique flavor and unforgettable. We finish dinner with an endless series of sweets and bitters. Now I want to conclude with a reflection and a few words about chef Gennaro Esposito who presented himself several times during the evening to a series of attentions, with a unique humanity and kindness that made everything even more pleasant and exciting! Thank you for this beautiful experience, see you next time.

Beginning from the end: thanks to the creators of this splendid dream that turned into reality, to our son Marco who allowed Mom and Dad to realize a never hidden desire, that is, a life journey undertaken together with Chef Gennaro Esposito, it was as if we had taken a long walk through the memories of the Maestro, with his aromas, flavours, emotions and experiences. It was wonderful to savor his idea of food, wonderful to get to know his Brigade and his Cellar. A confirmation of his professionalism, availability and kindness. Thanks Chef
Multisensory experience
First time in a two star restaurant. Well, you can immediately perceive that there is some extra gear. Fabulous location developed within and near a medieval watchtower. The chef obviously needs no introduction. Let's say right away that it was a complete and multi-sensory experience. Nothing, but truly nothing, is left to chance. It is surprising that the staff is numerically (and not by little) superior to the customers at the tables. All the essential design furnishings (spectacular seats, all different) with first-rate silverware and porcelain. As for the dishes, they are completely similar to canvases painted with watercolors (Bonito Genoese, what a masterpiece!) which emanate essences of the sea and lemons. You then lose yourself in unique flavours, never tried before, absolutely decisive, at times explosive. The prawn essence and the risotto with broccoli and foam gave indescribable, unrepeatable emotions. Each ingredient is easily recognizable and everything is structured in a crescendo of intensity in their sequence. We probably didn't expect such strong flavors, but in the end they were all masterfully combined with each other. If we want to make a small note, the truffle on the Marche was not worthy of its dish. Applause to the sommelier because he managed to find us a wine that adapted splendidly to both our tastes and each individual dish (and it wasn't easy, obviously!) I don't want to mention the price because that would be inappropriate. Chef Gennaro Esposito was very nice and came to greet us at the end of dinner: I still remind him that it was he who gave me my passion for cooking, second only to that of my job!

It was a pleasant journey expertly guided by the chef and his qualified staff. As soon as you arrive you are welcomed into the room, elegantly furnished inside the Saracen tower for the aperitif, accompanied by an excellent champagne enlivened by background music. We continue for dinner with a tasting menu of your choice. Everything is very refined starting from the mise en place to the individual culinary proposals, concluding with amazing desserts. We can only recommend it.

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
