Villa Marina Restaurante Tijuana Reviews from The Last Year
Excellent service.
Excellent service. My mom is on a wheelchair and we had no problem at all to access the restaurant. We left the car right at the door, there was easy-straight access to the entrance. The host wheeled my mom to the table and our server was attentive and very kind. Food was great as well. We were celebrating our mom’s birthday and our server with some of his coworkers sang happy birthday to her. We had a ver nice evening.

Everything was so delicious! Loved the agua chiles! Clamato con Dos Equis hit the spot.
100% recommended
The dishes have a good portion and excellent seasoning, the service is excellent, highly recommended, they have valet parking which makes the visit more comfortable.
*Abiance: Not 5 stars by any means.
It is clean and neat but there are TVs everywhere that gives it more of a bar feel than a fine dining establishment. *Covid19 Protocol: excellent and the reason for one of my 2 stars. *Service: our waiter was attentive in the beginning but was replaced by two other people without notice. *Food: 1) Special Shrimp Ceviche: 4/10 I have had better in the US. While the shrimp was fresh the dish lacked flavor overall. They needed to marinate the shrimp in the acid a little more. 2) Baked Mariana Roll: 10/10. This was the best thing we had there. Excellent in all aspects. 3) Skirt Steak Tacos: 10/10 $100Mx pesos per piece. It was our second favorite thing there. Worth it. 4) Hot Shrimp plate: 1/10 $400+Mx pesos. Definitely not worth the price. There were 9 shrimp overall. The bacon wrapped one had a sweet filling that was awful. The shrimp in the cream sauce was good but that was it. The rice lacked flavor. It was just boiled with coloring. ***Complimentary chips, salsas and accompaniments were excellent. The Dessert drink was much appreciated as well. ***This place is definitely NOT worth the hype. It is severely overpriced and underwhelming. I will not be back.
Had octopus appetizer, was over cooked Originally Service
Had octopus appetizer, was over cooked Originally Service was not attentive, got a new server and service was much better. Valet parking was a very nice touch. Maître d' opened the front door with a warm greeting upon our entry. View was great overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I don't like to write negative reviews on my first visit. I will assume it was just an off day and not indicative of their meal service.

One of the locals recommended this place and it turned out to be the best. The food was good, service was great and the ocean front view was amazing! Defiantly a must if you are in Ensenada!
Fair to bad
The place is not bad but it is the most beautiful the dishes are generally expensive I went for some tacos the truth is none of them good turandole a malones I ordered a broth called leche de tigre which has nothing to do with leche de tigre it is a bad shrimp broth that could even be the one in many restaurants they give it to you for free I wouldn't go back to give it a second chance. The service was very simple and in the end they gave me a house digestif

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
