Outstanding Sushi and Asian Cuisine
Zuma Boston is kind of hidden away in the Four Seasons, but definitely worth a detour or special trip. It is actually very close to the Pru and Newbury Street area. Great place for a date night or celebration. The sushi is really top notch across the board. Other standouts are the black cod and truffle edamame. They also have a location in Las Vegas, which is likewise excellent.

My husband and I dined at Zuma with our grown kids a few weeks ago. The servers were kind, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was imaginative and delicious. The ambiance so lively and fun. We highly recommend Zuma for your next evening out!

So the first thing to say is that this place is not at the four seasons by the common, there’s two four seasons in Boston. It’s still fairly new so everything looks great, and being new there’s a vibe about that this is the place to be. A well stocked bar with places to sit, high tables, low tables, a sushi bar, a DJ booth, open kitchen with plenty of flames to impress. I suspect you won’t get in without a booking. Casual dress, people in sneakers and baseball caps and others in suits. We dived into a cocktail, Vespa - nice. Attentive and knowledgable service. The food was amazing, I recommend the rock shrimp and the scallops. We stuck to mainly small sushi dishes and kept the cocktails rolling. If you’re visiting Boston you got to visit this place !
Be the first to ReplyWRONG BILL!!!!!!!!
I was a regular costumer and it’s was supposed to be amazing BUT the server charged 2x the bill on my credit card and my friends that’s disrespectful and an official crime. I’ve been contacting the restaurant and paying the internacional roaming from my phone since one month and NOTHING? Should I call police?
Be the first to Replytoo expensive and nothing special
The service was good but the food quality was not to our satisfaction and the bill at the end was very expensive
Be the first to ReplyGreat vibe and outstanding service!
I was staying at the Four Seasons for Business and stopped numerous times at Zuma for cocktails. I always sat at the bar and the people that served us were exceptional in every way. The food we had on a couple occasions was delicious. I highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyConsistently good. Excellent service. Lovely spacious restaurant. Fabulously well dressed manager
Zuma has become a bit of an international thing now hasn’t it. Pretty consistent. I’d say the food in Boston isn’t quite as good as London which surprised me, given Boston’s penchant for consuming all thing oceanic. The toro was a bit stringy/tendony and the normally excellent chocolate bomb was a bit stale. The vibe is also a bit less partying than Zuma London. A little more chilled. Lovely space though. And overall the food is definitely worth the visit. Given how crappy Nobu has become in some cities, I’ve started visiting Zuma’s instead and have to say that I don’t regret the decision so far.

We did a lot of research into good restaurants in Boston. Zuma kept coming up. We were excited about our reservation. We were in Boston for our son to start his doctorate program. Zuma was a celebration dinner. We ordered the premium set course and loved every taste. The service was perfect. The food exquist.
Be the first to ReplySo much better than NYC Zuma!
Awesome experience, back and even better than we had come to expect at London Zuma, but then sorely disappointed by the ordinary NYC Zuma. The Shittake mushroom side and seabass were amazing, ordered 2nd’s of both. The Hamachi with Jalapeño and Ponzu staple that we normally try at Nobu’s/Zuma’s was unexpectedly different with garlic than jalapeños but good nonetheless. Highly recommend and will return when next in Boston.

The food was fine and the staff very friendly.
It was really disappointing to see a MOUSE strolling around the tables. The manager didn’t take the situation seriously. A round of drinks and that’s all.
Good date restaurant
The restaurant is a bit fancy. Folks tend to dress up to eat here. It does get busy on the weekend nights. The staffs here are super nice and attentive. The food are good, but pricey. I thought the chicken was a bit dry. The valet parking is about 22 bucks.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful Japanese style restaurant
Located in the Four Seasons hotel on Dalton street in the Back Bay area, this restaurant has a wonderful blend of Japanese style dishes from sashimi to cooked seafoods. Atmosphere is elegant and upscale. Accordingly the food is pricey. good for celebrating a significant event or for the well to do. Depending on how hungry you are, you might just try a few appetizers to sample the amazing dishes. The food comes out in order as it is finished by the chef. Since we were a group of six, all the dishes were placed in the center of the table as they were served.

Beautiful restaurant extremely great service and extremely good food. Was here for parents weekend at Boston College the sushi was exquisite the sake was wonderful and the ambience of the restaurant is fantastic highly recommend it
Be the first to ReplyWonderful food & service
We had crispy shrimp, two kinds of rolls, sashimi, miso black cod, all excellent. Beautifully displayed. The specialty cocktails were wonderful also. Had a passion fruit raspberry martini.
Be the first to ReplyBetter options for the price!
Service was very slow, we waited for 10 minutes to get seated (we had made a booking) and spent over 2 hours at the restaurant because our waitress never came back to check on us and it was difficult to get anyone's attention, we also felt some of the staff had a bit of a rude attitude towards us. Tables were not socially distanced and we felt we were sitting on top of other guests. The food was average considering the price, the sushi was below standard, the gyoza was good, the beef tenderloin and the lobster were nice. We had plans after dinner which we were late for because it took about 20 minutes to be able to pay and have our card returned to us. While the decor, location, and vibe were good, considering the price, the service and food should have been of better standard and we felt we weren't treated as such. There are definitely better options!
Be the first to ReplyCeliacs should not bother
Allergy nightmare!! I made the mistake of booking a table during Dine Out week, so the regular sushi menu was not available for lunch. The Dine Out menu had no gluten free options, and an unsympathetic waiter told me I could order a $44 piece of plain fish with nothing else (but I couldn't order the $25 version from the dine out menu, plain, same fish), and that nothing else was possible. This is after I indicated on the reservation that I have celiac and eat gluten free (sushi usually is, so that is why I chose this place). The hostess informed me that they only get the reservation info and not the other functions like indicating allergies and notes, that are fields on the reservation form. The website did not indicate that only the Dine Out menu would be available, and still does not. There are all sorts of notices to inform your server of food allergies, and the response it simply "Not my problem." Just tell your customers that you don't want anyone with celiac or a food allergy to be your customer. I will happily avoid you, as I will now do forever, as I do not choose to enter an establishment to be treated like I am garbage.
