🤮 1/5 - WORST DINING experience in MILAN

We have had a wonderful extended stay in Italy this summer - and this is the WORST DINING EXPERIENCE by far. 1). Service - we had reservations booked through our hotel, but we were met with suspicion the minute we presented to the door. The host had to “check with his manager.” Then our waiter greeted us and then largely ignored us for the remainder of our meal. We typically would order more than on bottle of wine for our party of 5, but we did not have the opportunity because the waiter never came back after our bottle was empty. The air of AGGRESSIVE DISDAIN to this establishment and the amount of ridiculous, pompous strutting that occurs with the manager and staff would be much better served by a lesson in true hospitality and the kindness that is so common in Italian restaurants - but not in Da Giacomo. 2). Environment - LOUD. SO LOUD. Could not hold a usual conversation without shouting over the music and other patrons. 3). BUGS - our table was overwhelmed by multiple mosquitoes during our meal. When we questioned the manager (we were dining inside) - his response was “they are everywhere this time of year.” I have yet to go to another restaurant in Milan (inside or out) that had the number of mosquitoes we were literally fighting, and some were just dead on the table. 4). Food - MEH. A tourist trap for sure - so disappointed in our hotel concierge for the recommendation.
