Great reviews but my experience not so much!
I have to say, I was quite disappointed with the food here. Despite the catchy name, the 'Foxy Brown' dish fell short of expectations – it was anything but foxy. Overall, the food didn't quite hit the mark for me, and I doubt I'll be returning anytime soon. It's a shame because I had hoped for a better dining experience.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Food, Great Atmosphere
This place was fantastic. The food, the service and the atmosphere were all outstanding!! My wife and I were here for a few days getaway and decided to stop by after it was recommended. This place did not disappoint. We were greeted by the hostess and seated quickly. The waiter was great. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great suggestions. The atmosphere was also great. It wasn’t too loud, but just the perfect mix of music and people chatting. If you’re ever in the area, please give them a chance, you will not be disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyUnfortunate incident while getting take out
First let me start by saying we normally visit the restaurant and have always had amazing experiences and service but last night we ordered takeout and I went to go pick up and pay at the bar The lady that charged my debit card just added the 22 percent tip on my takeout order without asking. She ran it thru 3 times and then I was told that if I had another card which was also ran thru and then I Added my own customized tip. I noticed it today when going thru my bank account statement and then seeing the same charge on my credit card but the total amounts were different. The credit card amount was reversed today The amount on my debit card was different. Not only did that annoyed me but we had to go back last night to get the rest of our order which unfortunately the kitchen had gotten wrong. The person that took our order was extremely empathetic and had us come back immediately to resolve the issue because they had remembered taking the order . I have never had a problem there and love the restaurant but beware if you don’t tell the person what to put on your card they could be adding a different tip amount without asking you what you want the total amount to be.

Great food. Sophia was spot-on with all of her recommendations. The chance to taste a couple of different wines to choose which one you wanted was above and beyond the norm.

This is my second time here for brunch. Most of the time your second visit is usually a letdown,Not today. I had the Hash my daughter had the avocado toast my wife had the pudding French toast. our waitress was,Cat. Good food good service good time beautiful place just as good the second time as the first time I wish it was by my house.

Sadly new and bigger does not equate to better . I fell in love with the “old “ Foxy brown at its original location. Which excelled at great innovative food . Today, the new shiny location can’t compensate for the lack of culinary skills of its chefs . Had some of the worst dishes in recent memory. They all sounded good on paper but were executed clearly by staff who can’t cook. It’s a “Kitchen nightmare” scenario , bring in Gordon for the rescue
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Brunch!
Foxy Brown is a first class operation!! The brunch was excellent as was the service and the value. We love it for dinner and now we love it for brunch. Nice atmosphere too.

Sat at the bar and had a wonderful time! Got the donut holes with cereal milk to start. We didn’t want to know the cereal milk but guessed something with peanut butter which it was! Had the chicken waffle slides and sunrise arepa everything was delicious! Enjoyed the chats with the bartenders and other guests! *Update we loved this place so much we went back on our last day of vacation.
Be the first to ReplyThe BEST! A must go for any visit for Ft. Lauderdale.
My wife and I started and ended our recent FL vacation with breakfast at Foxy’s. This place is great. It’s certainly not your typical “greasy spoon” breakfast joint. Eclectic, fresh, and great spins on traditional breakfast staples. The service here is top notch - hats off to the bar staff that were all around awesome. I recommend the Chicken and Waffle sliders, and the Prosciutto and Cheese dip with poached eggs. We went twice and ate entirely too much each time (everything was so good we had to sample it all)! Can’t go wrong with a bacon bloody or mimosa. For something sweet, try the French Toast Sticks that come with a honey butter dip that is delicious. This was by far one of my favorite restaurants this trip (and the only place we went twice)! Can’t wait for my next FLL trip and to come back to Foxy’s.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolute perfection!
Wow! Every single bite and sip was perfection. The honey butter rolls, on special peach shrimp arugula salad & t-bone steak, dizzy chicken dip, and banana bread grilled cheese for dessert. To drink, we had the espresso martini and a ginger beer mocktail. The ambience and service was also on point! We cannot wait to go back! Shoutout to the best server…Sean!!

My husband and I were celebrating my birthday and our son in law recommended Foxy Brown. The restaurant was very nice with outdoor seating and a wonderful bar, which we decided to try. Lee and Dee took care of us and provided us with great drinks and menus. My husband had the Philly pretzel bread which was more like a pretzel loaf, and it included some bacon-onion jam and also a cheese sauce. He thoroughly enjoyed it. I on the other hand selected the Cock-Doodle-Doo grilled chicken sandwich. It was delicious! It had bacon, herb slaw and siracha aioli. the best Chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Accompanied with a heaping mound of Garlic-Parmesan fries….best fries! Give Foxy Brown a try.

new location of an old favorite. love the menu choices and the prices. had great vanilla old fashioned to start and philadelphia pretzel app. the grilled caesar salad was great as was the beef a roni…a house favorite! lots of other interesting choices too

Great service & tasty American food. Good, creative cocktails too. We did not have a reservation but our wait for a table was short.
Be the first to ReplyAnother Delite on Busy Federal
Went for dinner before a show. Had a pleasant experience. Food and drinks were good as was the service. Another place where you need to make sure you make reservations and get there early it can get busy. Prices were reasonable and compatible to other places around. Parking usually easy as there is a garage behind the restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyPANCAKES FOR BREAKFAST
Good place to start the day. Not busy when I was here for breakfast. I sat outside under cover. The sun was still low in the sky and I was comfortable out there. Several pancakes and egg items on the menu. I opted for the banana pancakes. Filling.
Be the first to ReplyOverall good experience, But could use some improvements.
It was a late dinner with me, my husband and our friend. Started at the bar for a drink. The bartender was nice, attentive and got our drinks right. we moved to our outdoor table around 9 pm and sat for about 10-15 without anyone coming by to greet us. The table and chairs were metal and not very comfortable. But we chose outside, so I guess that’s on us. Inside, the seating looks very plush. When we finally got a server to greet us, she was very pleasant, attentive and apologetic that it took so long for someone to come by. We ordered and the food came out fairly promptly. My husband had 1/2 chicken with brussel sprouts, I had green beans and french fries, our friend had a spicy shrimp dish. The brussel sprouts were fantastic. Probably the best thing I tried. The green beans were maybe air-fried with some very light batter and were okay. Could have used some more flavor. The french fries were ok… the kind you get at the bowling alley (crinkle cut and no salt or seasoning). We ordered a “Veggie Burger” to go for my teenager. This was a complete fail. The menu calls it a veggie burger topped with spinach, tomato and provolone. First, the burger itself is not really veggie, it was chickpeas, rice, some sort of binder, and curry flavored. Dry as wood. The tomato was breaded and fried, hard as a rock and dry. After one bite, my kid pushed it aside and said it was no good. I opened it up to see the ingredients. It was slathered in mayo and very unappealing. I tried the “burger” and it was awful. I called the restaurant and left a message that as a vegetarian who has had hundreds of veggie burgers, this was the worst I have ever had and they really should modify the recipe, re name it chickpea/rice curry patty, or take it off the menu all together. Unfortunately, The Foxy Brown has no idea what it’s doing when it comes to cooking veggie burgers and/or their team has never tasted one of these. Overall experience was good but the veggie burger ruined it. 3.5 stars
Be the first to ReplyLoved it!!!
This is a great place…beautifully decorated, with wonderful food, drinks, and service. We went for Saturday brunch. Our server recommended the pineapple mimosa and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Each of us ordered some variation of eggs benedict (traditional, crab, short rib). All were delicious. I personally had the short rib and all I can say is YUM! Prices were reasonable, too.
Note for gluten free peeps…they can make your eggs Benny gluten free by putting them over a potato cake instead of an English muffin:)
Our favorite restaurant in Ft Lauderdale!
A nice variety of dishes, all well-prepared. The wine selection is great and the service is also excellent!

Wonderful food and service! Very creative in their pancakes of the day. Loved the Girl Scout Tag A Long inspired pancakes. My husband enjoyed the AvocadoW Toast.

I have been ordering happy hour which is from 4 to 6 to go never had a problem with the pandemic not everyone wants to sit and eat all of a sudden today the manager Amanda tells her employee to tell me or we no longer do it for take out! I guess she is Prejudice and felt because I was black I couldn’t afford to pay full price how ironic that all of a sudden it changes after literally ordering for weeks in a row
Be the first to ReplyGreat for Brunch!
First review of 2022! I met my girlfriends for brunch to celebrate the launch of a new year. We picked The Foxy Brown for the meet up and were able to score a reservation for 11 AM New Year's Day.
The Foxy Brown is part of the Be Nice group, Elliot's Wolf's Be Nice restaurants. The idea of the be nice concept was instilled in Wolf by his father who ran a candy company. When he began his own business, Wolf decided to attach the simple feel good phrase of Be Nice to it. I had previously dined at the Be Nice Lunchroom North and the Brown Dog Eatery now closed, and enjoyed both. I am looking forward to trying Coconuts on the water in Ft. Lauderdale.
Parking for The Foxy Brown is available for free in a lot across the street or in the parking garage next door. Reservations are recommended and it is important to note that all members of your party must be present before they will seat you.
Located on Federal Hwy in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, this restaurant is in the spot formerly occupied by Good Spirits. The Foxy Brown opened here on May 29th. Seating is on the outdoor patio, at the bar, or in the spacious dining room at high tops and in booths. We were seated in a booth next to the open kitchen where I could see all of the amazing looking dishes pouring out. The Foxy Brown's concept was created around its signature sandwich, the patty melt and milkshakes. Their brunch menu features a mixture of cocktails, salads, sandwiches, and breakfast dishes.
We started off with an order of donut holes and peach mimosas (and water) to toast the new year. The donut holes were served hot and covered in powdered sugar, served with a shot of cereal milk. They were a sweet way to start the new year. I usually tend to gravitate towards the sweet breakfast and they had a white chocolate chip French toast that sounded up my alley but as a patty melt lover, I couldn't resist their signature sandwich. It was one of the best ones I have ever eaten. The sauce on the meat was delectable and it was served with crinkle cut fries. The service was great and everything I tried was delicious. My friends seemed to enjoy their meals too. I think the prices are very reasonable for the downtown area and I would come back again. I really like the message of this restaurant group, be nice!
Sunday brunch-great food
We landed early Sunday morning in fort Lauderdale. Our room was not ready around 9:00 a.m. so we took an Uber to have lunch at foxy Brown. I had come across the restaurant on the internet. The menu options we're endless, but the photos for mouth-watering. This was a great choice. Food was excellent and we did not know what to order because everything looked so good. We ended up getting the short rib Benedict and the crab cake Benedict. We shared so we were able to sample both. We got the loaded potato latkes which was the little different from the routine home Fried potatoes. Also good and great coffee. I am a coffee drinker so I am very particular when it comes to my brew. Because we have come down from up North I had on a sweater. I was burning up. The manager was kind enough to sell me the t-shirt that the employees wear so that when we left the restaurant we could walk around and pick up a couple of things from the grocery store which was right next door. Wait staff were very friendly and polite. My only regret was that we landed on a Sunday and we're leaving during the week and could not experience the brunch one more time. Next time I go to fort Lauderdale I plan to arrive so that I can go to brunch on both days Saturday and Sunday.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service! Delicious entrees
We decided to try Foxy Brown’s which is part of the “be nice” conglomerate. We were pleasantly surprised by the service, very delicious chicken wing appetizer (maple bacon) and the entrees were very good. The restaurant has plenty of outside seating and indoor seating either at the bar or inside. We were happy about how great the service was and his knowledge of the menu. Overall good experience and we will return!
Be the first to ReplyHighly recommend for great good ambiance
Went there after having eaten a terrible meal At Morton steakhouse. Decided to go get appetizers and the food was great. The service was amazing and we sat at the bar. It was on Halloween and not very crowded but a nice crowd. We had estén there a few times at both locations and it never disappoints. Highly recommend it.
