Hakkasan Mayfair London Reviews
Poor indeed.
Having been a regular , longstanding client at Hakkasan Hanway Place ( now closed down ) we thought we would try Mayfair . Hakkasan has been our "go to " special occasion venue for many years as we like to call it a "dining adventure&q
HAKKASAN DELIGHT !
We were a group of 8 people having a business dinner sponsored by a hotel company. The choice of Hakkasan was an excellent one which boasted beautiful fixtures and fittings and had opulent feel about it. The food was of a very high standard with lots
Complete style over substance, a waste of money Service is a joke
This place is a joke Service staff are totally untrained You are rushed so they can flip the table The Peking duck is not authentic I asked do they serve sugar with the skin No one had any idea what I was talking about It is truly one of
Chinese food between tradition and renewal
Great chinese food experience. Traditional and revised chinese plates are served. Downstairs music little high and difficult to talk although food is great with excellent service.
True masterpiece!
An absolute visual and gastronomic delight from beginning to end. The dessert was a true showstopper; chocolate mousse presented looking like caviar with the added drama of dry ice!
Poor experience
We were shown to our table but it took 15 mins for a menu to appear We received 1 main only and after waiting for another 15 mins the 2nd main did not appear After asking for our 2nd main we waited for another 10 mins and still no show for our 2nd
exceptional food, great atmosphere for an evening
Was very pleasantly surprised - one of the most outstanding dinners i've had in London on a while ! Great service , could not fault any dish ( we ordered a lot ). Loved the atmosphere . The only issue was when leaving the table - there was not e
Good quality
Hadn't been here for ages so it was lovely to revisit for a quick lunch. Helpful waitress although she clearly thought we needed to spend more! It is an expensive restaurant but we enjoy their sweet and sour pork and chicken satay - although e
Good food, good atmosphere
Good food, dark & cosy atmosphere with good music Lots of staff which is just as well as very busy even at the pre theatre seating time of 5.30pm
Restaurant review
From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped by an evocative atmosphere—the air scented with incense and a warm welcome from the gracious hostess. The menu is excellent, though on the pricier side, which is to be expected given the setting a
Overwhelmingly Disappointing
We went to Hakkasan for a dinner and some drinks over the weekend. As soon as we arrived, the ambience was overly busy and noisy. There were lots of loud groups of customers who didn't seem to be the usual clientele at high-end restaurants in Lo
Crowded
Tables are so close that you hear everyones conversation. £8 a bottle of beer. Starter sauces arrived after finished starter.
Fantastic Experience
Dining at Hakkasan was a fantastic experience. We couldn’t fault the service - it was polite, attentive and efficient - and the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and atmospheric. The food was absolutely incredible, all of it delicious, w
Great location with great atmosphere
Great atmosphere and great location with great service and great food Always a great buzz at Hakkasans. Nice to be offered for no additional charge a private dining area as well, and all the staff were very helpful, polite and efficient. Thankyou for
Food was good, ambiance was nice.
More like a tapas or gastro with a hipp, upscale feel. The cocktails were on point and the food very tasty. Great effort is given to presentation. A fat wallet is required and a reservation would be recommended. That said, we walked in around 20:00 w

Came here to celebrate the new year, was looking forward to writing a wish on one of the little cards provided when dinning in. However, they had run out. The place was completely packed and the music was turned up quite loud it was hard to hear each
Our favorite Michelin so far.
We have been collecting Michelin Starred restaurant experiences for a few years and had to try this on our recent UK leg of our honeymoon. And it immediately became our favorite so far. It may seem strange to say that then give it only 4 stars but t
Nice dishes with a good selection of cocktails.
I ordered one of the prix fixe selections but would suggest ala carte as some dishes weren't exactly to my liking and they just whisk away the food without offering a substitute. Service was a little rushed but there is an overall nice ambiance.
We had a fantastic romantic dinner at Hakkasan.
All of the dudes and drinks were not only well seasoned and executed but also beautifully presented. The vegan dim sum, silken tofu, and stir fried ribeye were particularly good stand outs. Service was good and the server was knowledgeable and able t
Lovely food and service as always
Superb Dimsum as always, the chefs are really artists and so consistent. The fish pot dish was super disappointing, but everything else was superb. What was the stand out was Leonardo’s service. He made us feel so welcome and was super efficient
A joke. Absolute rubbish
It’s been a long time since I last visited Hakkasan; definitely more than a decade, and my memory was a positive one. In a world where dining out is akin to navigating a culinary minefield, this time we found ourselves hurdling over obstacles rig
Amazing birthday dinner, food and service were 10/10
I have never had a bad experience at Hakkasan, not once. Hosted a birthday dinner with a couple of friends and we were given the most pleasant customer service. Waiters were attentive and friendly to be big group of 9. Shout out to Carlo (believe he
Hakkasan is not what it used to be
As cliche as it sounds, Hakkasan is definitely not what it used to be. We returned to London and to our favourite asian restaurant after a few years only to find that the quality in both food and service went down. Only exceptions were the Iberico, a
Poor service. Mediocre food.
Our server didn't explain the menu to us as other servers were doing for other guests. We asked for tap water rather than bottled. The male server came and just “plonked” it down on the table as if we weren’t even there. No jug just a cheap loo
Simply heavenly.
Doesn`t come cheap but it`s worth every single penny and more! Service, ambiance, food, nothing is less than perfect! A luxury I like to enjoy when i can!
Still amazing food but not a wonderful experience.
outstanding food as we have had in Miami and Las Vegas. But I ordered a £40 Primitivo and the sommelier brought both that and an £80 bottle. I do not appreciate the attempt to upsell, particularly having had dozens of Primitivo in restaurants in
Universally miserable staff
I’ll keep this short. I’ve dined here many times. I visited solo on Friday for lunch. Total bill £260 including drinks. The food was nice but not outstanding. The table service was relatively efficient however it took approx 35 minutes for food
Sublime !
The food was absolutely amazing; we chose the Plumb Blossom menu along with cocktails rather than wine. They were also delicious. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted exquisite. The waiter was really fantastic and asked when and if we were
Nice place.
Very good atmosphere, impeccable food, portions are generous. Good to start the evening I loved the music although a little loud for my taste.
DEPOSIT !
I had booked the restaurant as it was my sons 21st birthday and its a michelin star restaurant and i found the service and food nothing near to a michelin star restaurant . I had travelled all the way from Sheffield only to be frustrated and terribly
Food good but it’s service… oh dear
Maybe my 10th time. Sadly, Hakkasan never recovered from its pre-pandemic self. Food (taste wise) remains good but oh dear, the service is / got so poor. With regards to the food, we did note a couple of shortcuts and post pandemic / inflationary sav
Rushed service , wrong food , warm wine , disappointing
We arrive 10 minutes early , hoping to enjoy the bar , but straight to table , where a whirlwind of fast service , Duck salad arrived before wine , Wine came warm for a bottle of rock angel at £90 . Asked if we could have a chilled one , which was
Totally underwhelming for a ‘special Birthday’- won’t be returning ……
Having been to this Hakkasan years ago and the amazing ones in Abu Dhabi & Dubai, this was our first choice to celebrate our daughter’s 21st Birthday lunch as a family. The food was great as always. However, the lack of engagement from our s

No Rush To Go Back!
Disappointed! Got there and the cloak staff said the kitchen is closing in 15 mins before our reservation had even begun. We were not notified by phone, We felt rushed as soon as we got there. It was one the best hot spots in London 10 years ago. Sta
Always a good idea
The food and service was great, as usual. We’ve been a few times before to hakkasan and it’s never disappointing. Also great with kids, when you order they give you good advice.

Michelin 1 star establishments should have quality service
Michelin 1 star establishments should have quality service and this one was far from it. Every star here goes to the back of the house. The host today in London has resting bitch face and was vastly unpleasant. I seriously don't understand why you d

I'd give them 10 stars if I could! Beautiful settings and perfectly arranged table and service. The dishes are out of this world; have they got a Michelin star? They deserve all the accolade from the world. Alan Yau apparently sold the restaurants
Absolutely loved our experience at Hakkasan.
The food was delicious, the service was amazing and we really enjoyed the ambience. The supreme dim sum was incredible. Loved the variety of dim sums- super tasty. The black truffle roasted duck stole the show! Although pecking duck is popular, we de

Service was ok and over priced. I have no idea why it's a Michelin one star restaurant.
Amazing food with amazing service.
10/10. The vibes are immaculate and the setting is beautiful.

Blatant Discrimination and Outrageous Charges! My friend and I decided to dine at this so-called "upscale" restaurant, only to be stopped at the entrance due to the dress code. While we were willing to accept this and agreed to change our
Not told the truth
The food is good, really good, and the feel is premium, which was why I booked it for a team event. But we were hustled off our table. Told that there was another reservation. This was not true. The table was empty 30 mins later, there were no other

only reviewing the classic steamed dim sum since I got that as takeout. It was good but waaaayyyy over priced.
Great restaurant poor service
I used to love this restaurant, yet I have not visited for years so decided to go again for lunch with a friend. Same moody, dark space, same particular smell, delicious food and cocktails but the service was rather inadequate. Had to wave at the wai
Disappointed in Hakassan
I attended Hakassan last night and was far from impressed. To balance this out I have been before and had a great time but standards have clearly dropped. We were served the wrong drinks, had to return my main course which resulted in my partner the
Why be in high end customer service then?
Our server Bruna G was excellent! Can’t say the same for her colleagues. We received our mains and dessert by others who quite frankly looked like they didn’t want to be there. They threw the food on the table and got away as quickly as possible
Disappointed
Visited here for my birthday with my partner and was really disappointed. The food was really poor. I had the satay chicken which looked like a bowl of curry soup with some meat in. Both chicken dishes we ordered were undercooked, very slimey and a

* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Hakkasan Mayfair London!
