Kitchen Story San Francisco Reviews from The Last Year
This place holds a special place in my heart, it was my
This place holds a special place in my heart, it was my go-to brunch spot throughout college. After years away, I finally returned, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is still perfectly casual, ideal for catching up with friends or grabbing a quick solo brunch. The service was attentive and friendly. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because we felt a bit rushed. Our waitress checked in on us frequently, asking if we needed anything. This became annoying, so we decided to leave. Now, onto the food! My friend and I both dove into the Ribeye Omurice, and wow, the portions are massive! I even struggled to finish mine. The dish itself is pure comfort food heaven. The classic omelet gets a serious upgrade with the addition of juicy, ground ribeye. It's incredibly satisfying and everything I crave in a brunch dish. Overall, this visit was a delicious trip down memory lane. While the service could be less intrusive, the amazing food guarantee I'll be back soon!
If you're looking for the best brunch in San Francisco, you
If you're looking for the best brunch in San Francisco, you have to try Kitchen Story. This cute place is one of my favorites for a reason. The Eggs Benedict here are the best I've ever had. The eggs are cooked perfectly, with a runny yolk. The hollandaise sauce is creamy and tangy, and the English muffin is toasted just right. You can tell they put a lot of care into making it. The side of potatoes is also fantastic. They're not just regular breakfast potatoes--they're super flavorful, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The seasoning is perfect and they taste amazing with everything else. The place itself is very cute and cozy. Just a heads up: this place is very popular. If you don't want to wait for an hour, make sure you come early. It's worth it! Overall,Kitchen Story is a must-visit in San Francisco. Whether you live here or are just visiting, add this spot to your list.

Went to visit my daughter, I love having breakfast or brunch in San Francisco. The food was good, it was a bit of a wait. I really wanted to try the Mimosas with popsicles but they were out of popsicles...disappointed. It's a really cute and quaint place.
We drove 1.
5 hours to this restaurant, totally not worth it. If you guys drive too far just for the food, not worth it.
Ambience and service are ok.
Cute place. Food is straight up bad. Belly rancheros had zero flavour and were just incredibly sweet and as were most of the other items. Just sweet and bland. The drinks were also overly sweet and not great either
The best fried french toast! Blew my mind.
Will definitely come back every time I visit SF
I'm a sucker for a good Benedict for brunch.
The millionaires Benedict is a must try! I can't wait to go back for brunch The service is always amazing. When friends ask where to go for brunch, this is a top choice.
Great spot for brunch.
Absolutely crowded which means long lines. Service staff is friendly and the delivery of the food once ordered is not long. Ambiance is casual but expect conversations all around and a loud environment. Food is wonderful and the portions are enough to share. We had a side of chicken sausage/patty. A mushroom omelette and a crab benedict. Everything is enjoyable and very tasty. A wonderful spot for brunch.
Deep Fried French toast (3/5): what I like to call a nap
Deep Fried French toast (3/5): what I like to call a nap haha. The syrup really helps bring the dish together and I love the fresh fruit. I realized since the marscapone gets cooked, the flavor isn't like marscapone frosting in tiramisu or cakes but rather has a strong milky taste that I personally wasn't the biggest fan of A couple quick tips/notes: - Instead of doing bottomless mimosas which is 1 hr, I'd recommend buying the champagne/prosecco and just getting some orange juice for a group of 3 or more. It'll be cheaper and there isn't a time limit. This is especially great if you're full table doesn't want to drink - If you have a large party (6+), you'll all have to check in together and that's when the timer for when you can get seated gets started After 2 years in SF, I'm surprised I haven't visited here before but it makes sense why it's such a popular brunch spot. I definitely have to visit back to try more of their savory options.
The bacon is as good as it looks.
It's a little pricey (that's brunch for ya) but it's clear that they take time to dress the plates in a cute way. The drink did come out a lot later than the food which wasn't ideal, but I know the brunch times get busy. The matcha was okay & most of the food was pretty good but the bacon clearly reigned supreme. Considering everything, id come back here!
Bottomless mimosas will be get you in trouble here.
Not that I would know. I've actually had Kitchen Story bookmarked for a handful of years, knowing it was a popular meet up spot for our company. A group of five of us jetted over here after landing in SF. We got there an hour or so before close, and we ended up doing it big. They boast a large menu with omelettes, benedicts, burgers, breakfast plates, and some unique Asian-influenced items. Having been up way too early for my flight and not eating for much longer than I anticipated, I wanted a fairly simple breakfast plate. Although everything else looked Insta-worthy, I had to go with I was in the mood for. I didn't love that the scrambled eggs was essentially an omelette, but I scarfed it down anyway. It was stacked with potatoes, bread, and bacon. Overall a very solid, albeit fancy-ish breakfast. Now besides the bottomless mimosas, you must (and when I say must YOU MUST) order the Millionaire's Bacon Flight. It's pure insanity. It's basically a sampler of Original Millionaire's Bacon, Citron Bacon, Cinnamon Bacon, and Rosemary Bacon. It's thick, tender, and flavorful as all can be. Definitely some of the best bacon you'll find anywhere! Service was fine at best. I think they were annoyed with us from the get go. But like, hey we're here to drink bottomless mimosas after all! Give us some party vibes, ya know? Come for the mimosas, stay for the baller bacon!
I have been here multiple times and it is my favorite
I have been here multiple times and it is my favorite brunch spot! I have my favorite go to's including the following: Mascarpone stuff, deep fried French toast. It is very crunchy on the outside and is always served hot. Yhe inside has a scream sweet filling. Milllionaires Bacon: this has such a rich flavoring to it! My favorite is just the original. It has a sweet maple taste to it. Big Hass Omelette: this is very filling and can be shared with two people. Even if you do not favor mushrooms it is delicious. Spiced chai latte: delicious and always served hot!
Good Brunch.
Great vibes from all the servers and the manager. Perfect area! Cute neighborhood

This place gets super busy on the weekends but we did not wait too long for a table on a Saturday afternoon! You can pick between indoor or outdoor seating. I recommend sitting outside as it's normally good weather when I go. Seating inside is a bit noisy and hard to hear others with the music and everything going on. Coming from someone who isn't a big fan of brunch food, I absolutely enjoyed everything. One of the few brunch spots I'll gladly take on! Everything we ordered: -Avocado Salad -Millionaire Bacon -Deep Fried French Toast -Ribeye Omurice -Big Hass -Spicy Burger -Mom's Benedict Don't sleep on the avocado salad!! It is the freshest thing you'll ever taste. It also has a lot of chicken so it fills you up! Millionaire bacon is always good, but this time it was a little harder than usual, maybe since the pieces weren't as fatty, but I still like the brown sugar glaze on it. Deep Fried French Toast can be shared with the whole table. We added caramelized bananas and walnuts which were yummy. The toast has like a wet cream cheese style filling and is very heavy. 8/10 I had the Mom's Benedict which came with 2 poached eggs and a meat patty on toast. The meat patty took away from the hollandaise sauce and made it taste more like a burger, but the eggs and sauce were quite tasty. 7/10 Kinda pricey for a brunch place, with almost every item costing upwards $20, but it's SF so what do i expect!
Mmm mmm good! Impeccable service, casual dining
Mmm mmm good! Impeccable service, casual dining environment. I had the 2 egg breakfast with millionaire bacon, pancakes with strawberry and banana, and a bomb ass dirty chai!!! The best dirty chai I've had! I'll be back again and again!!! I love breakfast!!! My new favorite! This place is for family, friends, or just flying solo!

I can't forget the bacon that I tried the first time from this restaurant, and we came back after many years. This time I think the bacons are a bit too dry, and the service is okay, but I like the environment better. Anyway, we still recommend this restaurant.
Went for Sunday brunch with a friend.
They seated us pretty quickly. Ambiance was meh. We were seated in the back near the bathroom and had a line of people crowded by our table most of the time. We ordered an omelette to share and it looked great but was cold. We sent it back. The waitress was gracious but unfortunately the new one was just lukewarm. We were hungry so decided to just keep it but barely ate any. The waitress took $5 off our bill which was appreciated but won't be going back.

A unique over the top sweet breakfast option that's a satisfying treat for two, so bring a friend for the best deal in town on Millionaire's Bacon. Attentive service, cozy ambiance, outside alfresco seating outdoor
Overpriced.
Not as good as it used to be (I've been here 16 yrs and do remember when the restaurant was a decent place to have lunch or brunch several years ago) and the lines for brunch from the techy transplant irritating crowd that loves standing in line because it make em feel like they are at a cool spot is absolutely a big turn off.
Fabulous. Make sure you eat here.
Just had a fabulous breakfast here. Lovely folk, amazing menu and beautiful presentation. We read about this on Trip Advisor and it totally lived up to its amazing reputation.
Saturday Brunch at Kitchen Story
One of the best brunch spots in the city. Very popular but no reservations so make sure you and your party get there during a reasonable time if you want a snag a table. Fantastic food and presentation. The French Toast is BOMB. I’ve tried it on 3 separate occasions and still haven’t been able to finish it, it’s so filling and each bite is a dream. Personally, I think the Millionaire’s bacon is overpriced. However, you won’t regret ordering some, especially if you’re with a group. Order the flight, cut up pieces for everyone to enjoy and you’re good to go. The drinks! Be careful, there’s a difference between a strawberry mimosa and a BJ strawberry mimosa, my friend had to find out the hard way. Still, drinks, especially from the speciality drinks menu, are very good and tasty. They have both Indoor and outdoor seating, both are enjoyable although I prefer outdoor on a nice day.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.

LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
