A delight that never disappoints
Great service with knowledgeable waiters and attentive but more importantly the food was great as I always remember it Oeuf mayonnaise was delightfully creamy and with a light of citrus undertone The smoked haddock with lemon butter sauce was amaz
Atmospheric
An atmospheric café / restaurant attached to a hotel, with some tables on the busy pavement. The food is pretty good, though rather pricey for the portion size. Service is correct. No reservations.
Great for food and lodging
Wonderful little bistro with excellent food and choices. Attached to an equally good boutique hotel with 20 or so rooms. Great location as well.

When Bourdain & Éric Ripert both recommend a Paris restaurant, you check it out. Single worse overpriced, tasteless food I've ever had in any city anywhere. And the service was beyond disinterested & disrespectful. So disappointed.

I stayed in Paris for three weeks recently and somehow I ended up at Le Comptoir THREE times during that three weeks. It really is that good. I remember a few years ago the line would be about 30 to 60 minutes, but thankfully, lately, there isn
Busy bistro!
We have enjoyed superb meals here many times and our return after ten years was no exception. On this warm, sunny Saturday we ate a light supper before meeting our driver and because we are guests at the hotel, we will enjoy our daily breakfast this

The food is so delicious, yummy, savory, tasty, and wonderful in Paris and there's so many places to go. This place is really nice and has reasonable prices.
Very Nice Charming Restaurant
This restaurant has a Michelin star or at least a recognition. Having just had a not so great experience at Le Sergeant Recruiteur the day before I was not sure what to expect. My friends and I were positively surprised at the casual atmosphere, frie

We made Thanksgiving reservations at this Monmartre treasure because of Anthony Bourdain's review in his world traveler book. It did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in we knew we were in for something special. The chatter, energy and amb
Highly Recommended (if you can get in)!
This place is cozy and lovey and the food is impeccable. Servers were helpful and fun. Fine dining in a casual neighborhood bistro setting.

Stopped in on a short trip though Paris after reading some great reviews. Despite its popularity, I was able to grab a table inside (outside was completely packed). Started off with the St. Germain cocktail and foie gras de canard with lemon sauce.
Le Comptoir was recommended to me by a friend.
I was absolutely starving, so I quickly asked her for a recommendation on what to get and she told me to get the foie gras- and I had no idea what that was. Now, the entire menu was in French and it was time for me to order, I didn't want to bother t
Used to be great.
Not so much under the new ownership, with inattentive service and noticeable drop in the quality of food.
The food was so good and so was the service .
.the waiters went above and beyond and they were so cute too
Sadly this gem of a bistro is no longer a perfect mid day
Sadly this gem of a bistro is no longer a perfect mid day meal. Last Fall as ownership departed the quality of the cuisine left as well. Much like the transition at La Regelade years ago, Doucet appearance marked a change for the worse. Menu diversi
Nothing wrong with it but I cannot understand the hype.
The steak tartar was memorable. I love the bold use of scallion. The texture of the beef was perfect. I do love the fish in curry sauce. The orange flavor was divine. The steak was mediocre relative to American steaks to me. Pretty dry and tough. I d
A Gem is Sold and Ruined
Le Comptoir has long been one of the great tables in Paris, with a line out front. There wasn't a line last night, which was surprising, but as the wildly mediocre dinner was served, we understood why. We asked our waitress what had changed. Turns ou
Convivial at Comptoir
Trendy, studied casual spot in Odeon. Really more a hip Canal St. Martin vibe in St. Germain. Young and vibrant. Great bistro food with a twist. Good sized portions and not too pricey. Friendly exuberant staff. Tightly packed room was warm and
Disappointed with the flavors presented tonight.
Service was good. I had the lobster bisque with chorizo and bacon. It was ok but served lukewarm. I had the cod in a broth. Lacked flavors. It tried to be clever by adding some Asian flavors on their. Salt would help in this scenario. Underwhelmed gi
Delicious and fun
The food was really delicious and quite original. The room is quirky and small with a nice convivial atmosphere. The staff were super nice and service was good. The place fills up, so go before 7pm if you want a table without a wait (we visited on a
Good homely food at reasonable prices
My wife and I went there for a dinner meal as she wanted to try their beef cheek stew. I had their fish stew and must say it is very different from the usual food choices elsewhere. The food has a homely warm feel to it giving you a sense of comfort

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Le comptoir Paris at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Le comptoir Paris page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* GallantAnswer60, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* GallantAnswer60 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to GallantAnswer60 for any questions Peter may have as GallantAnswer60 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* GallantAnswer60 now uses their connections at Le comptoir Paris to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If GallantAnswer60 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, GallantAnswer60 receives the $200 reward which is credited to GallantAnswer60's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Le comptoir Paris!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
