Le Florentin Paris Reviews from The Last Year
Rather disappointing
Rather disappointing. The restaurant was very busy, mainly with tourists. The atmosphere veered between frantic and chaotic – for example, my starter and main course appeared simultaneously. The food was distinctly average.
Good brasserie at affordable prices
Typical brasserie, not too touristy, about 200/300 meters from the Concorde metro stop, Tuileries Gardens - Orangerie Museum area. Very friendly staff, fast service even though the place was very busy. Suitable for a quick lunch, good food and affordable prices (compared to the Parisian average and to the places inside the Tuileries gardens)
Tourist trap lousy food
First of all, the pictures of the food do not reflect reality. The food was the worst we had on our trip to Paris. The place is designed for size rather than quality. We had a reservation, but that was not really useful. Simply because you don't need one. The whole place is so disorganized, stressful, loud and dirty. It was also the only restaurant we visited without stars. My friend's food and mine came cold (steak) and bloody. We had to complain. Which we did. But we really should have cancelled. It was just disgusting. The people at the next table were also dissatisfied; like us, they didn't eat much. How the good reviews come about here is a mystery to me. Only the snails were OK. The shocker came at the end: we paid €120 for rubbish. So anyone who has any idea about good food will not be happy there. The fact that it was so stressful and loud also made this a very unpleasant visit. Absolutely not recommended. The only downside was that our service was super pleasant. The waiter really tried very hard, even though it was extremely stressful because it was very poorly organized. Unfortunately, I didn't feel so well after eating.
French food
We were eating here because it was close to where we were. The place is not bad but the service was a little slow and between the starters and the seconds they did not take the plates and we were eating with the table full of empty plates We ordered a foie and onion soup for starters and a duck to share. The portions are good in size and the food is delicious. For the child we ordered a children's menu of hamburger (without bread) and rice. The food cost us €76.
Restaurant with tourists but not touristy
Restaurant found by chance not far from Place Vendome. Not at all touristy, even if full of tourists. The dishes were very well made, super traditional. Rude waitress but that wasn't enough to ruin our opinion of the experience. Delicious confit duck! Advised
Friendly but poor food and presentation
Good appearance but slow service (despite our waiter being attentive) the food was pretty bad in my opinion. My wife didn't eat the meat. Worst experience in Paris. Good wine
There is a good quality price relation
We found this place by chance almost at 4 in the afternoon thinking that they were going to kick us out and quite the opposite, full of tourists. Very good service, menu in Spanish and a totally appropriate price for Paris and being relatively close to tourist spots such as the Louvre and Place de la Concorde. We did not repeat because we were far from our route the following days because otherwise we would have done it for sure.
Great little bistro
My family was in Paris for spring break, and this little bistro was a block away from our hotel in the 1st. We went for dinner twice because we loved the cozy feel of these place, along with its tasty food. We enjoyed so ordered duck confit, salmon, crème brûle and mousse au chocolat both nights, and had their sliced beef and boeuf Bourguignon, which were good as well. Staff was really busy, but helpful and polite, giving us a warm welcome back the second night we returned
Restaurant for tourists
We took a confit de canard, the portion was quite small with 2 pieces of potatoes and a leaf of salad dipped in the sauce of the Canard. The taste was not nice. What is more, I ordered a beer in a bottle. They brought me a glass of beer. I insisted I wanted a bottle not a glass. I finally got a bottle of 33 cl but I was charged for 50 cl. I was told that this is how the restaurant works. I would not recommend this restaurant
Decent bistro near the Place de la Concorde
An early lunch helped us skip the growing queue, even on a Saturday. Typical bistro fare with a number of specials on the day. The Caesar salad impressed us more than the burger with no veggies and too much blue cheese sauce. Acceptable prices for a posh neighbourhood between the Jeu de Paume and the Place Vendôme. Friendly and effective service.
Highly recommend.
All food and drinks were amazing. This place was packed. As soon as people left a table, others would be seated immediately. All servers work as a team to make sure all tables are taken care of quickly. I was impressed with the service. The ambiance was dim lighting and very cozy. Only reason I'm giving four stars instead of 5 is the bathroom situation is very cramped. Overall a wonderful experience. Our main server was so friendly and spoke English. Very helpful!!
Very chaotic and busy.
It's uncomfortably cramped on a busy night and there is not really any organization in the queue. I get that space is a luxury in Paris but it's giving over the safety limit. They didn't give us a menu for 20 minutes after we were seated. The staff was nice and tried to be accommodating with language, but it really just depends on who. If I would recommend it, get the food for take away! The atmosphere was just too chaotic for me, but the food was so delicious. Their house foie gras was amazing and so was the French onion soup.
