Shocking, dirty, old, not as advertised, fraud!
Great location but stay somewhere else! Rooms look nothing like those advertised. I booked through Expedia and didn't opt for insurance, big mistake! My first room was so shocking I went back to reception, showed them photos of the room and they offered me a 2nd room. I spent 1 night in the 2nd room that was not the same as I booked online. No toilet roll holder, no kitchen, the room was supposed to be 500sq ft and wasn't. No wardrobe to hang clothes as it was fixed shut. No blind in the bathroom window which over looked the swimming pool and apartments opposite, no privacy when showering or using the toilet. The whole accommodation area smells of drugs being smoked! Shocking Shocking and Shocking! I've traveled around the world and to many countries which would be classed as developing poor countries, the hotels there are 5* compared to the Neptune Hollywood Beach Hotel. I spoke to the manager after handing my pass back to reception after just 1 nights stay! I informed him the pictures online are misleading and asked for a refund, which was refused! A 3rd room was offered! Which i refused after sampling 2 other rooms in 24 hours! Time to get out before I catch something! I will be contacting Expedia and my bank to get my money back as this is 100% fraud!!! Contacted Expedia and they said I wouldn't get a refund and offered $125. I spent over $1000 for 1 shocking night! If you book a cruise and get a fishing boat that's fraud. If you book a 500sq ft family suit with a kitchen and get a dirty, old room with no kitchen that isn't?!

I will reiterate what all of the other customers have said. DO NOT STAY HERE. I am usually very careful about where I book, but I was sloppy this time because I was tired and desperate. The entire Hollywood Beach area is rundown. It might have had its "Hey Day" back in the 50s-60s, but not now. I think most of these old hotels have been turned into apartments and most of the people I saw walking around were in their late 60s-80s. The people who own/run the hotel are deceitful and it doesn't cause them a moments hesitation to take advantage of every customer that walks through the door. I even asked the man at the front desk if it made him feel bad to treat people this way. He said, "You signed the contract, Ma'am. It was all in there if you would have read it". The contract said extra fees and tax, not more than doubling the price of the original room. Extra "Fees" equaled another $79.97 a night. Twice the room cost. $50 each night for a cleaning fee and $29.97 a night to park on their OWN PROPERTY!! They even have a "Fee" for using a towel.?? Don't stay here folks. Sleep in your cars in the Walmart parking lot. This place is a complete joke. It's not worth it. They have a sign in the hotel check in that says if you give them a 5 star rating you can have your choice of a free gift. These gifts include a pair of plastic flip flop earrings, "a beer," a plastic dry bag for your phone ($1 from Dollar Tree) a free towel usage, should I continue? And remember, it's only one of these things and people are still dumb enough to do it!! I feel so bad for the guy from Australia. They really reamed him for an extra $1000+ because he was staying for 10 nights. I bet he thinks all Americans are awful like this. Nope, just the ones at Hollywood Beach Hotels (Owners of the Neptune Hotel). Folks, stay away from here!!!
Nightmare on Hollywood Beach
The WORST "hotel" I've ever stayed in. Awful, Awful, Awful. First thing that gets you are the hidden 56$ a night "service fee"... I asked what service this was for and they told me Hotel services, like room cleaning. Something usually included in any hotel booking. So if you are booking here because it's economical, remember the extras - also +20 / night parking, in the area, if you can find parking. Thats an extra 760 for 10 nights (we were a party of 4 rooms, total of 10 nights between us). The rooms are dank, musty, cracked, falling apart. A plywood board badly painted slapped onto kitchen front in one room. Anther with slanted bathroom sink so that water collected in the bottom of the sink. Then it flooded, maybe the room above using the same drain. The sink filled up and overflowed onto the bathroom floor. The front door was a rattling fit - hung badly in a recently badly replaced door frame. Lights flicker when you turn on the airco. In our room, the one they use in the advert - so the best of the lot - the airco is in a room behind the bed - dripping condensation, mold everywhere. An imagine my surprise when I woke to find a surfboard size cocroach staring at me on my pillow. I went to the front desk to ask for poison (it was the last night, it was late, I didn't want to look for another hotel). The surly receptionist (one of them) says he will give me another room. I said, I don't want another room, that would be in the same or worse condition. I want poison to make sure I kill any extra critters before going to sleep for the night. He says he doesnt have any, and that he's giving me a solution. I said can I see the new room. He says no. He can't leave the front desk. I said why not? There were two other receptionists there at the time. He said that his supervisors instructions were that he should not leave reception. I need to pack up, check out of our room, and then he'll give me the key to the new room. I said that's ridiculous, I'd like to speak to his supervisor. He's not there. I said call him. Tell him there is a situation. He wouldn't. Anyway... Eventually he found someone from Housekeeping to show me the new room. As I'd suspected, it was awful. I asked if he, as he was from housekeeping, had some poison to give me. He said they had run out the week before and were waiting for a delivery next week. We went to Wallgreens and got our own spray. The attitude of the workers can only reflect what is passed down from the top. Everything Awful. Breakfast is a joke. Breakfast staff are not morning people. They give stuff away for a 5 star rating. Don't believe a word. The only thing it has going is the location, which is very good, hence the occupancy.

Algotels and Hollywood Beach Hotels Review: As a reviewer of experiences, I have always tried to give my honest and positive reviews of the establishments that I have frequented. Unfortunately this review is less than positive for the Algo Hotels and Hollywood Beach Hotels. My husbands and I trip started on Friday, February 16th with an 8 day stay. Before our check in, I received an email from the customer service line from Algotels giving me an 877 number to call if the checking in experience was not to my standards so I thought Oh wow they really care for my opinion as a guest in their hotels. So I kept the text so I can properly review how the check in process was. So we showed up to check in and our experience was so bad that I thought we were in the twilight zone. First, the front desk crew was so unprofessional it was laughable. They had a line of people waiting to either check in or asking for rates and I noticed that the staff were being condescending to them but then I thought I made reservations a month prior to my arrival and we had everything in order so I was expecting a warm welcome or at least a Good evening to which I was appalled to not even been given that courtesy. The front desk clerk asked for my ID and continued to look for my information which he couldn’t find as their systems were paper based and he asked his colleague to pass him the Expedia file and I politely told him that I had booked through Algotels directly and he gave me such a smirk and disregarded my comment. After 15 minutes he finally found the file and proceeded to tell me that we owed another $700 in resort fees and taxes and that parking was an additional $19 a night to which I almost fell to the floor as I had already prepaid for a standard King size bed accommodation and my confirmation didn’t state that additional fees were going to be charged. So I immediately tried to call the 877 number provided in the text to advice them of the poor and rude check in and to verify these additional fees but nobody ever answered that number and you couldn’t leave a message either. (I tried several times and also the next day as well to no avail.) So I proceeded to fight this charges and on top of that the front desk clerk stated that our room was not ready and that they were putting us in another room and the Front desk manager told us not to worry that he will make sure that the room will be ready in the morning and after a few minutes of going back and forth with him, I reluctantly agreed to it. So we left that nightmare of a check-in extremely upset and we went to the room that they had available and trust me The Neptune Oceanfront Rentals pictures in the internet do not look anything to the rooms that they currently offer. The room offered to us was the most awkwardly laid out room the living room was so tiny that it was a joke to call it a living room. Then the bathroom toilet was so close to the walls that you had to be careful not to hit your head when you stood up. So Morning came and we went to the front desk to double check that we were going to be moved to the new room and again the front desk agent had such a poor attitude and proceeded to tell me that if we were told that we will be moved to the Room that I booked and confirmed prior to checking that we needed to wait after 2:30 PM. So I told the lady no problem I will be back. So now my plans for the day had to change to accommodate this hotel’s lack of professionalism. So, we came back after 2:30 pm and the front desk agent called her manager and her manager asked her to ask us if we were okay with the room that we had last night and I told her to tell him absolutely NOT and that I wanted the room that I bought and reserved. After the phone call she asked us to meet the manager three doors down and when we went there he rudely proceeded to give us the keys to the room that was supposed to be our room so we went back to get our things together and transferred them to the new room and to our surprise they new keys didn’t work. So there we went again and this time he said let me make new ones and I will go to check them. He walked twelve feet in front of us didn’t apologize or tried to create rapport he just simply continued walking ahead of us and then checked the keys and this time they worked. We finally were able to move to the new room. So, when we got the new room we noticed that there were no dishes or mugs or free coffee or nothing. When we asked the people next to us they were like you need to contact them so they can give you a box of raggedy looking mugs, pans, plates and utensils but because of the unprofessional people that they employ I figured that we better go to the supermarket and get disposable cups, plates and utensils in order to avoid dealing with them. It is the first time that we had to do something like this. In the bathroom we found little bottles of body lotion, shampoo and two little bars of soap so then again I had to purchase a bar of soap in order for us to properly shower. Moreover the shower didn’t have a shelf to put your soap or shampoo either so you had your place them on the floor 🤦🏽 ♂️. By the way, if complimentary breakfast was the key to your booking like it was for me then let me tell you that the breakfast is another disappointment. First, the attendants are unhappy and rude then the offerings are below standards too bad that I didn’t take a picture of the closet that they use to serve the breakfast but if you like sliced bread, old sugary cereal, bagels and hard boiled eggs in a bowl of water then this is your place to get breakfast. We found it a bit un-sanitary to have everyone digging in an open container of cream cheese or peanut butter with their spoons or knives 🤦🏽 ♂️ We visited once and proceeded to buy our breakfast at the supermarket or restaurants. The rooms were not properly maintained either. The walls were dirty scuffed and plaster or missing drywall in certain areas. I believe at one point the units were renovated but nowadays they are starting to show that they are not being properly tended to. In our stay we also found four roaches and when asking the other tenants they stated that they had them too plus little ants which at least we didn’t have. So, for the poor and none existent customer service and for the poor quality of the product I’m giving them this low review. When vacationing in Hollywood beach stay away from all of the Hollywood Beach Hotels oceanfront rentals or booking through Algotels, if you want to fully enjoy your stay.

Nothing but nothing is maintained, bad smell, outdated room, staff that doesn't care about you, rusty washer dryer all dirty, I will never return to this place.... They have 15 buildings and none are maintained... Speaks almost exclusively Spanish.... Conclusion..... Book Elsewhere!!!
Old hotel, poorly maintained rooms. Hidden fees
Bad customer service, all kinds of hidden fees, booked thru a third party site; 3 nights for around 350. While I was checking in I was charged an additional 230 for fees and parking, plus an extra 100 security deposit. I asked for a minute to check my email the women who was checking me in just walked away from me and left me standing at the counter for 20 minutes. Neptune is part of a group of hotels “ Hollywood Beach Hotels” that are spread over a few blocks and there is a very limited amount of parking, you may only be able to find a space at another one of their hotels. The rooms are old, very old and it shows. The bathroom was tiny and it looked like there was mold on the ceiling that had been painted over. One of the light fixtures hanging from the ceiling had a beer can tab as the pull switch, another was having by the wires and about to fall. The hotel’s location is great but I don’t think it’s worth staying here at any price.
Horrible Neptune
Horrible in every sense, small rooms, small parking spaces, bait and switch rooms. Should be ashamed. Won't ever come back to Hollywood, fl as they own many hotels. Bye bye..never ever stay here. The new management doesn't know what they are doing and rooms are dirty.
dont go, this is a fraud
They charge me the mandatory fee...55 uss....this is not in the post. fraud. They charged me 55 dollars for cleaning per day!!!! and it was not in the posting of the price of the room like all the hotels do, they charge you for parking for the towels if you use them to go to the beach, none of that is in the price of the posting. Don't go there because you will end up paying US$150 for a 2 star hotel.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
