Meatlovers everywhere, gathercaround
Excellent food, excellent people. So much food and wine that it’s impossible to eat them all. Skoer lovely staff, and Dario himself of course. The whole experience is worth it.
Not very well
After seeing various videos we booked with the Panzanese menu on the advice of a girl during the booking process. Arriving around 12 we were welcomed with a glass of red wine and croutons with the famous "Chianti butter" which is a truly delicious spreadable lard. Around 1pm they placed us at a convivial table under a veranda (we were thinking of having lunch in front of the brazier 😞) and fortunately we ended up next to friendly people. In front of us a cup of red wine and a tureen full of fresh vegetables to make a dip with extra virgin olive oil. The first course was the Chianti Crudo or a beef tartare which I found divine, absolutely the best dish of the lunch. The second course was the Carpaccio di Culo which is nothing more than a kind of roasbeff, good but a little dry. Then came the main course, the Bistecca Panzanese. I'm Tuscan and you can't call me Steak that stuff. It is a boneless cut of meat and it was also overcooked. I wanted to hear the sniper's Florentine and not that cut, anything but noble. Excellent side dish cannellini beans. Ditto for the oil cake and the mocha coffee.
Extraordinarily typical and succulent
Typical and very warm welcome by the owner of the place. After a welcome drink we were seated upstairs for the meal. Crudités 2 raw meats (tartare and carpaccio) and 2 tender and tasty cooked meats accompanied by white beans. Unlimited bottle of Chianti as well as a carafe of still water and a carafe of sparkling coffee water and coffee pusher, all for €30 per person! Extraordinary. Highly recommended.
I have the fat!!!
For those who like meat this place is ideal. Flab cooked directly in the room...explanation of the type of meat. The brazier is very good... perfect meat and a wonderful Chianti butter to spread on the bread. Convivial place with tables
Optimal!!! To try!!!
We went to this restaurant for lunch… Pleasant aperitif offered in the butcher's shop with Chianti wine and bruschetta with homemade lard 😍, truly pleasant! Had lunch at the table with other people, eating excellent and freshly cooked meat in a beautiful open barbecue, the guys who served us even stopped by more than once to give us other portions, very kind and polite guys! Too bad we didn't manage to catch Cecchini because it would have really been the 🔝!!! I recommend it and would go back immediately! Ate a lot of quality food... and spent very little! Thanks for the wonderful experience 😍
Fat galore
I was struck by the atmosphere of conviviality that is created in the restaurant during dinner, the staff is very kind and helpful. The meat is the star of the menu, accompanied by simple dishes of peasant cuisine: pinzimonio, beans and the legendary patara with Chianti butter! Price centered for quality.
Great experience
Who would expect such a place on this tiny faraway Chianti village? We liked the concept explained by Dario Cecchini : all the animal parts should be used out of respect for it. So you need to choose one of the predetermined menus where the cuts are predefined. Menus are of different sizes. Your table will be situated in the room of the chosen menu this is why all the table ahould pick the same menu and when you book they ask you which menu you want. If you don't know, you can pass by the butcheria facing the restaurant to obtain the needed info and then decide. The meat, cooked in olive oil, was very good, So were the beans and the olive oil cake that looks home made. The service was slow though but i definitely recommend this place, it's worth the detour.

Carne Diem!
Pace yourself. Dario Cecchini offers you a lot of food. A lot of meat and tasty meat and other wonderous things but if you want to be able to even be able to taste the Bistecca della Fiorentina then pace yourself. I digress. Came to dinner with Family the dinner reservations need to be done in advance by email and if you're able take an 8pm one. The serving is all the meat you can eat and you start with tartar and finish with Florentine Steak. You come for your reservation at 8, maybe 10 minutes before Dario is meeting you across the street at his Antica Macelleria CECCHINI with bread and Lardo, what is Lardo, it is pig fat with salt and spices made into a spread. Same you can find at the table at the table you can find a bottle of wine some bread, lardo and veggies. And then the meating starts. In front of you there is a paper napkin with a picture of the cow, so when you are served the next course they can tell you which part of the cow it came from, starts with Tartare and ends with Florentine steak and in between there is Ribeye, etc, etc, etc..... So Carne Diem diners!
