Zuma Hong Kong Reviews from The Last Year
The best
Food was spectacular. I recommend the black cod miso, baby chicken, avocado maki, and cheese-cake. Carlo F. took care of us and made the evening Fabulous. Would recommend.
Cheap restaurant
Can't believe they would charge the customer $350 per pax if cancellation is applied 24 hours before the booking... they are so cheap and won't give any flexibility to customer
ENJOYED time
I would like thanks to Mirko , really professional , we loved actually everything starting from cocktails drink and the way you are prepared, absolutely great dinner and we would like to thanks to Carlo as I remember well his name is, thanks for the nice evening spent in a comfortable place
Zuma night brunch
First time visit Zuma night brunch, good experience actually but just feel a bit noisy while dinner, maybe it’s a bar area. Food is fine, people starts dancing after the light dimmer, can feel people have a relax night next to the DJ booth and the live entertainment. Conclusion, it’s worth to try especially you like drinks.
Many positives but the new set up is bare and unwelcoming
Zuma is a beautiful and glamourous lunch spot . Haven’t been for some years . Arrived for early shift lunch . Service is great but I notice every time someone comes it’s a different person . They used to have a lovely buffet set out - no longer . Looks like a bare cafeteria . Food is great quality and well presented . We were politely moved to finish drinks at 130 outside which is a nice touch . Staff tried hard to not make us feel rushed. We have 2 friends who wanted to take some main course fish home. Told ‘ it wasn’t policy to do so ‘ I understand that in an all you eat place bit Zuma isn’t like that . Not very ecological ! Overall we paid around 120 usd each and none of us felt that positive about it . I messaged staff the week after , got a brief reply trying to either out what booking it was under . It’s an expensive lunch - not sure if we will return !
Great food with great company
It was quite a dinner night with friends and family at Zuma yesterday. Undeniably a great service from reception to lounge to restaurant with their detailed descriptions of the food and cocktails. Thank you to all Zuma teams for looking after us. Will surely be back.
Deplorable and arrogant
Despite a preservation which cost us around 800 EUR for 3 people, no table was ready when we arrived, we found ourselves in front of the cook with 3 lined up in a line without being able to communicate. of course no effort was made on the part of the team to find a table and of course payment was made. we were not able to stay for this evening because it was impossible to be together as a family. I really want to express my strongest dissatisfaction with this restaurant which takes no account of the wishes of customers and which, moreover, treats us with limitless arrogance
Arrogant and ignorant
Over-priced and utterly under-whelming. Arrogant staff seemingly ignorant to customer requests. More concerned about preserving their stupid “concept” than customer satisfaction. Evening music was so loud that no one at the table could communicate without shouting. Will never go there again.
Average - new style not so great
Zuma is beautiful looking an very well staffed . The menu hasn’t changed since the last time I was there more than 2 years ago . They used to have a lovely counter service it’s all bare and empty now - looks like a cafeteria . Food lovely but refills slow . Drinks great but best in mind mineral water and coffee are extra . 2 friends wanted to take a piece of fish from the main course were told it wasn’t policy - no real reason why and it’s not particularly environmentally friendly. Early service and felt a wee bit rushed . It’s 1200 hkd each so not cheap . We weren’t sure we’d got great value in the end . Emailed Zuma but they were primarily concerned with who we were rather than giving us an answer . A menu change might help . We miss the counter items!
Food & Vibes
Great food, great services, perfect location, what else do you expect? I recently visited zuma for my birthday celebration and the terrace was such a vibe. The food & dessert platters were decorated beautifully with attention to details and the seafood was fresh as always of course. Totally mesmerized with the crowd, food and how attentive the servers were with all the dietary restrictions for my friends. I must say the service was on point and we were well taken care of even on a busy night. Overall, highly recommended place in central area and would love to visit again.
Definitely recommend
I went to Zuma on a Thursday afternoon to try their Ebisu Lunch which was a true delight. Even though it was the middle of the week, the place was very busy which was pleasant to see (for me there is nothing worse than eating in an empty restaurant). We opted to sit on the terrace which was a great choice. Although the restaurant is on the 5th floor, it does feel peaceful and away from the busy Hong Kong life. The service was very attentive and the waiter took the time to explain the dishes and how they could be made vegan to accomodate my friend. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, as expected from a Zuma. Usually places that offer a lunch menu comprise on the quality whereas Zuma Hong Kong has dishes on their lunch menu from their a-la-carte menu. I had lunch at Nobu Singapore the previous day and I can say that Zuma beats Nobu in every aspect. Zuma has always been one of my favourites and the Hong Kong venue does not disappoint! A must try!
