This is actually so shockingly flavorful and deliciously affordable I think this has got to be my favorite diner here. So delicious, perfect amount of variation to staple dishes. Right amount of hustle and bustle to people watch. Just chefs kiss
Food is innovative and good.
We ordered corn beef hash and loaded breakfast biscuit. Corn beef hash is ok, maybe too much potato relative to beef. Biscuit is excellent, flavorful and hearty. Service is a bit slow, even on a day with light convention traffic. I am giving them
Blown way by how great everything was presented and tasted.
Their grits are amazing, idk how they make them but it's nothing like I've had, they were almost like fluffy? The crem brule French toast is beyond words, no description can do it justice for how good this was. I fear no other French toast

Service was a little slow, but again to be expected when so crowded. Tasty filling food
Service has improved and food is always spectacular.
The outdoor and indoor seating are nice but I prefer it inside. My go to place when I want good food.

I've been coming here for years and while it doesn't usually blow me away, the ambiance is fun and I love the fun plays on each dish! Their chicken Parmesan is my favorite and there are times where I will be craving this.

Imaginative creative cuisine. Four of us, four different entrees, each excellent. Stuffed biscuits, chicken and waffles ( cornbread waffle and sirracha honey), Brussels and eggs, breakfast poutine ( shredded beef, french fries, fried egg and gravy. N
Food - awful.
To fry chicken you must avoid blood in the joints when it is eaten. Raw meat is unacceptable. Service - server was professional and courteous. Service - standard 20%??
Holy mother of breakfast, this was AMAZING
Wonderful breakfast meeting friends outside. Great iced coffee, service was wonderful, food was so different and tasty! It’s not your typical boring place and it’s a must try!
The shrimp and grits were exceptional and my wife enjoyed her kale salad. The weather was nice so we opted to sit out in the curbside dining area. We'd return.
Mixed review
Salads were outstanding with tons of chicken. $14 lemon meringue pie was terrible. Couldn’t cut through the crust in order to share. Had to send it back. We were aware of the 20% tip prior to ordering and were fine with it. However, service wa

This place is boisterous, and the atmosphere has an energetic vibe. The staff is amazing and suggested the perfect dishes. The food was absolutely delicious, I had the S'EGGY' Sandwich with the homemade Hawaiian Punch.
Traditional Dine/Comfort Food With A Flair
3 For dinner after a long day of trade show schmoozing. And very convenient to the DC Convention Center, kind of in the building. And coming from the land of diners (AKA New Jersey), wanted to see what was unconventional. Almost too tired for appe
Great food at a great price
Visited for a quick dinner of fried chicken burger and Lebanese rice with jumbo shrimp. Nice atmosphere with really hard working and friendly staff who are amazing at carrying trays laden with food on one hand above their heads!! Food was out quickly
Mediocre at best.
We love diners and were happy to see this restaurant close to our hotel. We ordered deviled eggs, chicken parm, and Lebanese fried rice. We were seated right away. The waitress was pleasant. We ordered a couple of draft beers which were delivered qui

Awesome place to visit before a show at 9:30 Club or The Atlantis!
Not unconventional, and not a diner.
Food was tasty. When we arrived we were told they might not be able to accommodate us. A couple minutes later someone emerged from the back and said they could but we would have to leave in 90 minutes. We said fine. It was funny because we were e
We were so lucky to have stayed so close to here.
We came unexpectedly at 8am on a Saturday. Even then, there were people here eating breakfast. We split the blueberry pancakes and the loaded breakfast biscuits with a side of grits. The loaded biscuits and side of grits may be the best brunch food
OMGoodness.
.. put your phone down and go! The food was delicious. We had the poutine, with beef and mushrooms, with the blueberry pancakes (topped with some kind of cream cheese whipped goodness), scrambled eggs and country bacon. BAAABBBYY... you best believe
Food was truly amazing and truly inventive.
Restaurant was noisy, but service was speedy. Very highly recommend if you're in the area.
Outstanding breakfast, lunch and dinner were all fantastic.
Shrimp Scampi is off the charts. Service is the best and the prices are more than fair. Go!

About as good as you can get in downtown D C. Great variety and service. Great variety and quantity was just right!! Our server Kareem was just a great guy. Keep an eye out for tip being above the line as most restaurants in DC hit you for this.

Enjoy the Patio
Sit outside and enjoy the people watching or make a reservation for inside since it is packed ! Had the breakfast sandwich which has a great combination of food and not too big you can’t savor every bite. Comes with a mountain of seasoned fries.
This place deserves it reputation. It did not disappoint.
Every dish was delicious and I will come back again next time I am in DC. Service was great and the food offered was “unconventional”.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Unconventional Diner Washington at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Unconventional Diner Washington page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.

* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Unconventional Diner Washington!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
